82. A question on which to skill into. - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
Unfortunately, I don't think there's a one-size-fits all answer to your question. Which to skill into first really depends on what problem you think is bigger -- not seeing others or not being seen. Kind of like the decision between getting a bett...

83. Clone count/cloning out - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
It is my understanding that clones decrease when someone bleeds out, and not when they are killed. Winning or losing the match has nothing to do with respawning (you can't respawn at all once you reach 0 clones). For this same reason, if you use a...

84. Dual SMG - Dmg Mods question - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
The ishukone SMG is a real killer. Equip 2 for loads of CQC fun. It is also better than most people think in medium range combat. As was mentioned above, the damage mod will apply to the SMG no matter where you equip it.

Very good advice for the new merc. Just be sure to run free suits when you are in Factional Warfare, otherwise you'll become isk-poor rather quickly.

Flying a dropship is key to every PC match I've played in for months now. This is a valuable skill beyond the simple fun of acting like a mobile drop team. Good stuff & I wish you the best of luck.

Caldari is the WRONG suit for up-close conflict. Particularly the basic -- I'd go assault or logi if you're set on Caldari. Also, the Caldari lend themselves to ranged combat much more than hit and run hacking. If you want a suit that gets in an...
