Mentoring new players, particularly ones that show some promise, is very fulfilling. Kudos to you, sir, for helping others.

62. Best mode/map for very new players? - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
I say Domination because it focuses the fight/map in one area, letting the noob learn the ins and outs of a confined area and the techniques used to attack/defend it. I would say Ambush, but tanks make it almost unplayable at the moment.

63. I don't own a headset yet, what am I missing? - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
I would recommend you get a full headset (i.e. both ears) with a mic. The teamwork and intel you get through the use of one is invaluable.

66. Sharpshooter Skill - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
IMO, it is worth it, but it may not make sense depending on how many skill points you have and if you have more pressing needs. Do you feel like the lack of sharpshooter is stopping you from applying enough damage before being killed in 1:1 encou...

Proto Gal Logi w/RR or CR is FOTM. I'm not sure I would recommend speccing into them, as the nerf hammer is about to fall.

69. Dropsuit Upgrades and You - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
I agree with your post... However I was left scratching my head when you listed the passive scanning skills (precision and range, specifically) as useful for everyone. That said, I've never ever heard someone complain about spending points on cor...

70. Minmatar Logi help. - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
Speed tanking died when 1.7 hit with the buff to AA and hit detection. Most successful Minmatar logis tend to stay on the flanks and behind the action because they are so squishy, using their speed to rapidly flank/reposition.

73. Number of skill points required for level 5 suit? - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
Those numbers are right, but in practice, it requires lots of other skills in order to effectively fit your proto suit. Generally, that number is somewhere around 8 or 10M. A little fewer for scouts, and a little more for logis.

74. Skills for Minmatar Light Dropsuit. (Advice) - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
You don't have to skill into the plates themselves, but adding points to Armor and Shields (the base ones) get more HP for all your suits -- you will eventually want them both to level 5. With the light dropsuit, and personally, I'd go with somet...

75. Question - Regarding Complex Damage Mods for Heavy and Light weapons - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
Heinz nailed it. If you have two light weapons and a damage mod equipped on a Sentinel -- the damage mod works for both of the weapons. So, using your example, you would need only one light weapon damage mod which affects both weapons in the H an...
