Perhaps this should be in recruitment but this is not exactly a recruitment for a corp. if this project becomes successful i might rez my old corp.
My main account has been flying since july of 2012. Currently I have about 8mil SP invested into dropships tho i'm not here to sing my praises or impress the pilot population or enter their secret club.
you may post your bittervet pilot rant/toot your own horn here here for all it's worth but I will continue to spend my 117mil on more dropships despite your so called "vet" rants.
I am now giving you permission to troll QQ and act like a general bitter pilot ass in this thread. 1.7 FOTM redline railtankers may also post their warnings here, I will just call another dropship or we will switch to LAV GTA style hit and runs when being railtanked. with 117 million banked you will farm no tears from me.
TLDR: inb4 it all.
that said:
I am looking for a crew which would be 1 gunner and 3 hotdroppers for my incubus.. No XP is required only patience, maturity and an understanding that not every match will go well for a dropship. You must also understand you will not be going 30+ kills, like is possible with aim bot, as the kills will be generally split between the 4 of us.
If you love groundside aim bot you will not enjoy the dropship ops. ragers and or emos will not be tolerated.
The key requirement is patience and mic discipline. I am looking for new players because I'm not up to dealing with bittervet BS and/or know it alls who don't own a dropship but proclaim to be experts on them.
Our DS mic will not a social club or open mic night for you to practice your neverending comedy routine. Yea some jokes here and there are fine but, Basically dont be a pain in butt, a know it all, and do not back seat fly. don't take pub matches super serious. They are for training. No ragetards.
As your pilot I will never berate you for shots missed. I understand that this is a game and my crew will be playing mainly for fun. We will not engage in screaming matches over the mic. Over inflated egos will not be tolerated. I'm not going to fly you overnight into PC despite any passionate feelings about it. This will begin as a high sec endeavor and move forward from there.
With dropships the glory is hit and miss. Our skill as a crew will take time to develope and will not form over night. It will form with cohesion and practice. Our targets will be the occasional lone tank, stragglers, snipers and supporting our ground forces (flying above a blob)
We will not foolishly be flying deep into enemy lines for phat killz and there will be minutes the dropship becomes nullified- You must understand this.
This is important for applicant to understand as I am not offering a magic carpet ride here to go top the scoreboard with. It is an ugly role with moments of epic for those who are tired of playing aim bot monkey on the ground.

preferably 2 hotdroppers will be AV dedicated with one infantry slayer, but i'll take anyone.
that would be 1 gunner, 2 AV, one slayer. the 3 would drop from ship and engage target as ship hovers over
that op actively scanning, and then we pick the 3 back up and move on to the next target

Flying a dropship is key to every PC match I've played in for months now. This is a valuable skill beyond the simple fun of acting like a mobile drop team. Good stuff & I wish you the best of luck. |

This is a totally legitimate approach. So I donGÇÖt get why you wasted a third of your post responding to bitter Vets who might possibly criticize your post sometime in the future, before you finally got to the point.
I do take exception to your repeated reference to aim bots on the ground though. I manned a turret in a dropship the other day and got 5 kills in about 3 minutes. One Dropship and 4 infantry, not to mention destroying two Drop Uplinks. I did not find it any harder to get kills with a Dropship door gun than with my HMG on the ground. I suppose it is highly dependent on the skill of the pilot, but for the gunner I donGÇÖt see any evidence to support a claim that ground pounding is easy mode and gunning is difficult.
Hand/Eye coordination cannot be taught. For everything else, there is the Learning Coalition.

hey guys sorry i've haven't been active but i'm commiting tommorow to play dust again and we will fire up a dropship (from the pilots seat that is). i will send you all an invite to a chatroom and we will fly this bus tommorow. thanks again guys for your interest.

i suggest useing your gunner slot to train a potential incubus pilot.
while training the skills to fly one of their own their skills get use as a gunner as the pilot and gunner skills stack.
not only that but they get experiance hitting targets from the air, get to see a pilot take on targets and see where good cover is, and they get to see how evasive manuvers are done first hand before they have to jump in the deep end on their own.

thanks i was about too make a post about this- the stacking, wasn't sure if that still applied after the dropship rework.
