FWIW, I could never get used to the spool up time and slow RoF of the Bolt Pistol. It wasn't for lack of trying, but the ScP just worked better in my hands. I suspect the same may be true for you.

If you like the ScR, then yes, otherwise, I'd find one of the other assault suits that plays to your preferred weapon (i.e. AR=Gal, CR=Min, RR=Cal).
