I had a bug happen where I was swinging the Forge Gun like Nova Knives. Greatest moment of my Dust life until I was shot to pieces since my screen was blocked by the Forge Gun Knife. Could charge, swing, and everything.

If it makes you feel better, when I'm not being Rambo all by myself because my team is too afraid to push up, I run full support logistics. No, I don't use the MD on it. Scrambler pistol is all I need, for this role was meant for support.
