It does mean that someone who can only play at the beginning of the reset gets less sp than someone who plays later on. An all-time accumulating cap with diminishing returns seems the only viable option to me.

When I say I don't see the point, I refer to the fact that this suggestion would just be a heavy sniper rifle, rather than a weapon in its own right. I also don't see how a long range weapon with both AV and AP capabilities is going to be balanced.

They're interesting ideas. I imagine they'll be difficult to implement, and would really only be fitting for low stakes matches. but it would certainly make public skirmishes less likely to become intolerable post-redline.

This is an issue about the visibility of LAVs, not their ability to kill you. Once we can see them on our tacnet easier, and hear them more reliably, avoiding them will be simple work.

Replacing the turret slot with a variety of equipment, including an extra seat option would make sense to me. It would introduce different roles like the infantry repair ability that was supposed to be the attraction for the proto LAVs.

I only ever got it when jumping out just as the LAV struck an obstacle. It would seem to spawn me in the same place as the LAV, only at high speed that would put me behind the LAV in one frame..
