I think there should be ways to play Dust that don't involve shooting everything on sight, like there is in EVE. Mining, exploration, manufacturing, etc. Dust should be equal parts FPS and RPG.

That would affect our ability to snipe vehicles at long range. The best solution that I can think of is to only make the reticule turn red when vehicles are in the crosshairs. EDIT: Installations too.

Aiming with an assault forge gun is anything but easy, at least not at long ranges. And yes, I have encountered Heavenly Daughter before. I distinctly remember crashing into her (him?) with a dropship while she was trying to snipe. :)
