When the PS3 restores the file system, it's more of a fail safe to prevent the HDD from becoming corrupted after an unexpected crash. It doesn't really have an affect on DUST or other games.

I think it needs some refinement, specifically in navigating the UI, Overview map and other menus along with adjusting the mouse speed. Switching weapons by tapping Caps Lock is still unresponsive similar to the DS3 as well. Besides that, I like it.

When in-game while using the keyboard and mouse, sometimes when holding the shift key, my character is stuck moving in one direction along the X-axis. Using the analog stick or trying to move elsewhere using W,A,S,D does not do anything to correct...
