It's not a very accurate representation unless you use ADS to check efficiencies. Something to do with the crosshair and what not. |

What bothers me is that you have sights on weapons that are used the least. Even the submachine gun, which can't be used at distances has a sight. Can't you guys see the problem???? This is a shooter that is designed to not shoot....aim mwchanics are blown, hip fire is broken, hit detection suffers, no sights, and a dysfunctional iron sight with a barely visible bar to aim with.
Now...what do you think?? Maybe we're playing a different game, but from my experience assault rifle users have been having no problems getting kills with their weapon. We don't need to make changes to weapons that are already more than efficient at their role. |

The AR are already dominating the pack of weapons.
Not saying they are OP, just saying you guys already have it good.
CCP needs to focus on new content rather than trying to make the AR a getaway cruise to the jamaican island |

I know LogicLoop said he wouldn't confirm this, but he did indirectly by stating this is a small socket and in the background is a medium socket. The only map with a small and medium socket is Manus Peak, and the geography is different so it can't be that.
Also as far as how many new sockets we are getting, Uprising 1.4 is coming with the Gallente Research Lab Outpost set which contains:
1 large socket 2 medium sockets 4 small sockets |

Yes!!! Good bye iron sights! thanks for showing us this logibro. i hope this sight has more zoom than the scrambler rifle scope though, this is supposedly a medium long range weapon. Maybe a scope zoom of the tac Ar, just bump the optimal range out even farther, i still get outranged by assault rifles. |

Looking forward to this buff. Scope should have clear tint and red dot though. Yellow gets difficult to aim in the night maps. I'm training lasers rifles as of now and faster ADS is really needed. A bit less overheat would be welcomed as well. Make it like Chromosome overheat, at 20 ammo left for the basic.
Edit: Training into Amarr Assault is the only way to make this weapon any decent. Training into this suit should be a bonus, not a requirement. |

That sight will not be avaible for AR's thats for sure. The AR model has the ACOG scope on it on all variants and the devs made it clear that not every racial weapon will have access to all sights on it. I think this is part of the T3 costumisable weapons. |

The sight is excellent, minimalism = good though the red dot seems hard to see, might just be the screenshots. Now you just need to remove that silly variable damage over range mechanic and make the laser build up heat on its target, not its user and you're good to go.
PS, that sight should be on every weapon as default. |

the damage from laser rifles comes with firing for longer. they each start at teh base damage but teh longer a beam is fired the more powerful it becomes. with reduced heat buildup of proto it can be fired far longer than standard thus building up to a higher damage. add to that amarr assault bonus and a viziam laser rifle is pretty nasty |

CCP didn't have ranges on the AR's & we also had 2 SKILLS called SHARPSHOOTER that extended the ranges (currently that 1 skill now controls dispersion or kick I don't remember right now which one it covers), so with the scope we had prior to its removal, a BREACH variant could have ALMOST the same range as the Tacticals. Now instead of being ready with the new range system CCP decided to gimp the problem by forcing us to use the Iron Sights after taking away the ORIGINAL Sharpshooter skills (note plural) and thus reduce our long range game; this resulted in the tacticals quickly becoming FOTM and with the nerf to them and the amount of ammo in their clip the problem for them was "solved".
The reason why some of us AR users can DEAL with the not having a reflex dot or a acog and is because for 9 months our AR's had a nice scope and we could remember how and from where we could get the same type of kills. Then about 2 -3 months ago ccp worked the ranges into the mix.
The IRON Sights is a P.O.S. and now that LR with its longer range is making a resurgence why can AR's not get at least the same ability to track an enemy or get more than a lucky headshot in. The clip size wasn't the problem. It was the freaking ROF that modded controller took advantage of. |

The reduction in clip size was the solution that ccp came up with, I don't think I explained my thoughts about that well enough to make the point I was trying to make.

2 Things,
1. Why the colour cast that makes aiming difficult depending on what colour your target is?
2. Why no magnification? For a weapon that is useless at close range, magnification is needed, desperately, especially when considering this is a tracking weapon.

TAR and burst AR have scopes, theres no reason for a scope on a full auto short range weapon, why do you want one? lasers optimal range is past AR effective range so they should get a scope.
