The TAR was the most used weapon and was mathematically proven to be on par with PRO blasters. - It rightfully got nerfed, much to the chagrin of the forum. The Caldari Logistic suit was proven to be by far the best suit in the game. - It rightfully is getting nerfed, because there's little reason to use anything else. Many are using the flaylock as the primary weapon, with another one as a secondary, or a mass driver as a secondary. - It too, is rightfully getting nerfed, due to how overused it too is. This is the only reason you all want a respec, so you can quickly skill into the next popular weapon/suit that 95% of the playerbase will start using right away. You don't deserve a respec, nor have you earned one. You act like selfish children.

I don't think anyone was/is expecting that. But I can gaurantee that by 1.7 the dropsuits will be completely different from what we have now... a respec will be necessary at some point... as you just can't make informed and reasonable decisions atm with all of the changes going on right now.

No If they're going to make massive changes to 20% of the skills, then yeah, I'd agree with an optional respec. But why get one just to get the next OP suit/weapon?

Okay so 1.4 will have this, 1.5 will have this, 1.6 should have this and this, and 1.7 will finish it all out with this and is. 1.8 will be balance iteration 1, 1.9 iteration 2... And 1.10... Respec. It's a long ways away but now people know they aren't locked in for life... Can throw away sp testing new suits for CCP and know they'll get it all back eventually.

You should tie in to a role or an aspect of a weapon you enjoy - not because it happens to work better than other equipment at the time. I chose Minmatar because the fluff was interesting and the suits looked totally unique. I like the emphasis on low armour, higher speed and good versatility and chose to be a logi/pilot because I like the role. They can change the game dynamics but the fundamentals never change, so why should I ever ask for a respec? Even if they introduce race specific equipment/vehicles I wouldn't respec. So my Gallente allies have given me access to their motor pool, big whoop.

Especially when you factor in that AIMING IS NOT 100%. There are multiple factors that could result in shots missing, sorry you could survive a TAC user in the open if you knew what you were doing but a PRO blaster turret will shred you especially the scatter blasters. TTK is a better utility of a weapons effectiveness. Moreover the comparison between the PRO Blasters and the TAR was one of the most laughable comparison id seen in gaming. Honestly the spreadsheet crowd are the biggest distraction when it comes to weapon balancing, its almost as bad as that guy who runs around using the number of AR kills he see in the killfeed as the significant data point that ARs are OP based on their utility.

I killed a tank with my AR today, sure it was done for but I did put a clip into it to finish it off.

Respec so I can try new things.

I suppose you believe you know better than everyone else about what would be considered overpowered, and believe your opinion should count for more than any other person's. Attitudes like that are bad, and don't get people to respect you. Everybody using spreadsheets and arithmetic are the best we have right now, because we don't have access to CCP's coding or the formulas they use. If you think you could do better, then by all means, prove it.

So essentially what you're saying is that people should stop playing the game and wait for 6-8 months until all of the dropsuits are out and they can make an informed decision on which progression path they want to go. Sounds like a very healthy mindset to force on your playerbase! CCP: "Hey player base, don't play for the next 6 months while we get our art and balance assets in order!" Playerbase: "kthxbai! Time for BF4"

They said no more respecs. period. But they stated that when situations like racial dropsuits for heavys come into play, they will consider refunding those respective dropsuit skills. And since they already did that once after changing dropsuit command to lvl 3 in order to spec into Role specific suits, I'm very optimistic on them doing it again when the new heavy and scouts suit are released. Edit - but no, you won't get your entire SP reset, because only your dropsuits were changed. asking for a complete respec just seems greedy.
