You are walking around the massive corridor encircling the main summit rotunda. Lining the outer wall you see hundreds of doors and entrances, each one leading to the offices and quarters of the attending corporations. Your eyes absentmindedly skim the countless corporation names stenciled above the doors. Suddenly one of the entrances catches your eye. The door, a beautifully etched and inscribed golden portal, obviously imported by whichever corporation had set up there. You stop to examine it. To the right of the door is a similarly adorned plaque reading 'P.I.E.' in elegant Amarrian calligraphy. Above the door way is the inscription 'Semper Pax.'
You decide to enter, golden panels slide aside as you step forth into a brilliantly lit lobby. Its walls are tastefully set with bas relief designs, and all the furniture is of richly colored, exotic wood, upholstered with silver and blue velvet. From behind a nearby desk a uniformed man stands up and bows slightly.
"Welcome to the Emissary Offices of the Praetoria Imperialis Excubitoris. Please take a seat and somebody will see you shortly." |

A lone templar, wearing a full golden medium amarr dropsuit with red stripes, can sometimes be seen standing silently in attention right next to the desk. He has an Amarrian scrambler rifle shouldered on his back along with what looks like a sword with a golden hilt. The only identification to be seen is the number 12, under the PIE insignia, on his left shoulderpad.
Any inquires directed at the templar are forwarded to the uniformed man behind the lobby desk. |

Another Templar enters the golden office, clad in the ornate combat armour of the Pratoriate, winding scrollwork adorns the chest piece where the inscription "The word of the Lord is pure" is written in brilliant calligraphy. He carried with him an Carthum Issue Scrambler Rifle, and takes a place at the side of the desk beside Templar Metsar and opposite Templar 12.
The face plate pulls back to reveal a young man with short cropped brown hair, dark eyes, and an aquiline nose, his expression is impassive, no sign of emotion.
"Is this wise commander?" He says with a refined dignity, his voice holds no compassion for the suspect before him. "This man blooder or not has fought for the Empire before, true he does not subscribe to our philosophies yet but that may come in time. Lord Lok'ri did once say that even sinners may be reclaimed and repent their actions...."
Suddenly a look of horror crossed the Templars face, he drops to a knee before Templar Metsar.
"My Apologies Commander, I spoke out of turn." |

"Commander Metsar" Kador speaks up from his side at the desk " I fear it must be my duty to inform you of certain communique we have received from a cell of so called Matari Freedom fighters operating within the Empire"
The young 3rd Generation Templar pause briefly, breath sucked in hurriedly as if he was unsure what to say.
"This One reports that we have received threats against the Amarrian Citizenry by one immortal mercenary calling himself Kagehoshi Horned Wolf, he threatens to execute a number of Amarrian citizens during his attacks, and commands his men to target public places including women and children.... his threats are vile....and beneath contempt but we must resolve a way to prevent such tragedies from occurring. How shall we respond?"
He turns to Metsar who seem right at home here in the offices of the emissary, he has a peaceful look about him, a certain sense of purpose that Kador wonders if he will find. His own postings have rarely been on civilian stations or security duties, and so his own lack of purpose in such places often troubles him.
The room around him is full of such Templars, of sound purpose and design. He glances at the Templar 12 beside Metsar, then shifts his gaze to Yassivi, then onto Kaldruen, and final back to Metsar. |

A lone Caldari male, just out of his youth, stands looking at the reliefs in amazement and wonder, both impressed by the artistry and disgusted by the opulence of an empire who could raise such beautiful structures.
His hair, while not necessarily long and untidy, is far too unkempt for him to be an average cloner. Rather than encasing himself in his usual combat attire, it appears that he has clothed himself in civilian clothing with modified pockets for repair tools, components, and medical supplies. Various patches from various combat units are all sown into his jacket, which appears to be far older than the man himself. Among them, the crest of Mordu's Legion sits proudly on his right shoulder.
In his hand he is spinning a BetaMax Beta challenge coin as he continues to study the architecture, awaiting his turn to speak to the Emissary.
It is obviously that he feels uncomfortable around so many Imperials. |

Fae rolled the coin in his hand again, attempting to make himself look focused on the artwork.
By the Maker, first gens... Two first gens, he thought to himself, I thought all of them had gone mad or been hunted to extinction by now.
It was unsettling, being so close to them. From what he had heard of first gens... How they would ramble in their sleep and bash there own heads in to silence voices no one else could here... Could they all be true? If they truly were Templars, then they would be a force to be reckoned with. He thought of the reason why he was in the Emissary to begin with as he gazed over the reliefs for what must have been the 16th time.
His mind drifted to the Minmatar children.
I should say something.
But what could he say that would really make a difference? All they would do is throw him out.
He eyed the wall for a seventeenth time.
And those Templars... Just one body could go for millions on any market. True, these may have been Empire loyalists, but he would have no trouble selling a corpse off to some Gurista as a twisted trophy to display in a ship's hull. The suit itself would probably be worth something too with all that gold plating.
Galm thought of the Nova Knife stashed in his boot. It was just a glorified can opener really, used for cutting wires, but he could deputize it as a rirokai if he had to. His taistoiitsu had rusted since his last hand-to-hand fight, but he was sure he could make due. Those Amarr suits made Templars slow and heavy, and the other wasn't even wearing a vest. It would be easy...
Stab the Templar, pull his Scrambler Pistol, drop two shots into the other. Even if I couldn't make off with the body, at least I could get the children out of here and put them to work until they can find themselves a good home. I would be out before they could even spawn and on a shuttle bound for low-sec.
Not that he would consider causing a such a scene. He was here for business, and he wasn't about to let his temper ruin a possible shipment. He thought back to what the Human Resources officer told him.
"You need to be more tolerant. Maybe try curbing that headstrong attitude."
He was right, he should calm himself. He was half Intaki dammit, it shouldn't be that hard. Still, it was nice to know that if worst came to worst he could still hold his own.
He eyed the wall for the 18th time. |

The heathen played you. Dammit not the voice, Metsar thought. The voice was always there, his true self, but it usually didn't bother him outside of combat. In combat it was a godsend, a sixth sense. Here it was a liability. He knew this wasn't the right office... He's not buying rifles... Then what? Why's he here. Metsar looked around the room. What did he do? Waited. Stared at the reliefs. Shipment story. Children. He didn't even ask for directions. He went straight for them. I see that now, shut up. He doesn't approve of our ways, burn the infidel. This a summit, I can't. Metsar takes a deep breathe, attempting to clear his head. He recites a prayer of solace three times in his mind. The voice quells. Must be the children, he thinks to himself. Not much I can do but observe.
*He moves closer to the engagement, hand stroking the nova knife at his waist. Memories flash of a desert citadel. A sandy courtyard. Dozens of young men sparring with blades. A man watching them. Metsar shakes the thought. Focus.* |

ReGnYuM's smile disappears as though it had never existed. He snaps his fingers twice in rapid succession. The Minmatar youth on the left grabs ReGnYuM's dagger and points it directly at his own Gut.
"They're not for sale nor slaves. What you see before you is something worth more than you could ever possibly imagine. I have trained, raised, and broken many slaves and all of them share one key characteristic. Their need for self preservation. These two our slaves to no one.
ReGnYuM snaps his fingers again. The youth plunges the dagger into his Gut. The child visibly shakes and then collapses on the floor. ReGnYuM then offers quick set of commands and the other youth dashes away.
"They say that a great shield can be molded into the finest weapon...
ReGnYums datapad beeps. Instantly a small twitch of frustration appears on his face.
" I must take my leave, and immediately return to Molden Heath. Metsar I apologies for the disturbance and disruption I have caused. Message me for the bill of this youth's... mess... House DEI will pay in full. Lastly Metsar, my brother ReGnUM DEI will coming by. Please relay this message to him.

"What are y-- NO, WAIT!"
Confusion boils over to rage as he watches ReGnYuM take the child with him. Galm digs through his pockets furiously as he searches for a nanite injector, but his hands shake far too much for him to be able to pull it out. By the time he has a grasp on his medical supplies, the Templar has already left. Galm throws the supplies into the air as he violent bashes against his own head with his fists in a fit of anger.
Before he knows it he it spewing a maelstrom of Napanii that he hasn't let slip sense he was a child. If the Amarr in the building could understand what he was saying, it would make the air turn blue.

He thought back to the Seituoda... What they turned him into... What he had become. He would never make up for that... but....
If I could do something... Anything to make things right. Anything to wash it all away... Maybe I can change what I have become.
He turns over to Metsar, discovering that the Templar had been watching him this whole time. With a defeated look he imitates the motion of slicing his own throat with a slight chuckle before speaking.
"Taat laani tiroktikunssan orjat hijen useuu... but hey... What can I do? And now I will have to move that shipment all by my lonesome. Oh well. Have a nice day sir." |

Ah, but we have surpassed the limitations that God has put on us. Our bodies may remain mortal, but our minds have been made eternal. I am aware though that this has come at a terrible cost: the scarring of our souls. Very few mortals ever experience death more than once. For us, the trauma of dying thousands upon thousands of death fractures us and has driven some of us (the weaker minded) mad. I consider the cost of this "immortality" to be justified in my own mind, but this eternal life is not for everyone. Those that join our ranks and would call us brother or sister should be fully educated on the price of our immortality. As for me I look forward to living on each and every planet in New Eden. |

((Can't tell who stabbed who here, we all kind of reacted differently. I am just assuming both for story purposes.))
Going into that Emissary was a mistake in itself you damned fool.
Father, spare me.
What did you even expect to do?
Not really sure. Something productive.
You can't keep secrets from me Galm.
It happens every once and a while. Of course the voice wasn't real. At least, he never let himself believe it. It only came out when he needed it to. It was an escapism trick from his youth. More often than not, it was also a huge thorn in his side too. He could pretend for a moment that his ancestors were still on his side, guiding him along. The Way dictated that his father would always walk with him... But it was doubtful that he would still be on his side.
As a matter of fact, I am. I am not giving up on you. Now stop being stubborn, you know I am here for you.
I must be losing a lot of blood, I am believing my own trick.
What, you don't believe in The Way? What about the time you took a pilgrimage to the Landfall Shrine. Your mother and I taught you how valuable your faith is, Intaki and Caldari both. What happened to that lost child who prayed for hours for to hear words of wisdom from his dear father?
You didn't speak to me. You never did. Not until I had already killed off all I am.
You weren't ready, but I see now that I should have guided you more than I had.
Maybe his implant was reacting strangely, unable to determine if Galm was alive or dead. In a blurred state he could vaguely hear the Templar say something about his own voices. These blasted implants will drive us all mad. If he had gone in with his suit on he would have a terminate button and just jump out of this clone instead of bleeding out on some (admittedly comfortable) piece of Amarr furniture.
Are you even paying attention right now boy!?
Nah, the knife in my gut makes things a bit hard to focus on. I think he might have cut something important.
Everything went by in flashes. One moment he was clutching a pistol. He felt the cold metal on his trigger finger. The next instant, he was sprawled, looking out at a group of Caldari gathering in the Emissary. He took note of them. They were... Looking for him? What spirit had thought this up and put it into motion? He convulsed a few more times, and found himself alone for some time, slowly fading out.
There are better ways to reclame your honor.
Tano haki fuzasen.
Stop using that filthy language, you are better educated than that. Leave that tongue to steelworkers and farmers.
Galm had a lengthy talk with his father, attempting to sort out the riddles of the universe, convening on what he had done with his life and playing simple work games silently in his head as the nanites worked their way through his veins. They began to recollect together what the Amarr had said to him
Don't be so eager to die. The new wars are for hearts and minds.
Right... Right... Okay, not dying here. Not yet. I like this clone's hair, and I am not leaving your jacket here.
Comically, Galm rolls himself onto his feet. He presses his finders to his own chest. The bleeding had ruined his shirt, but the nanites had kept him alive. Instantly he turned to the Templar, stumbling over himself with more energy than he should be expending right now.
"Caldari. Soldiers. Came in here? Where go?... Actually, no, glass of water, then tell me? Oh... Sorry I made a mess of your floor...."
Or am I? Were these the guys that stabbed me?

After fully assessing that it was in fact empty, he places the cool glass to his forehead and shuts his eyes as he tries to calm his thinking.
No, the other Templar left. This one... He helped me. Why did he help me?
Eventually he sets down his glass and faces the soldier, rubbing his should awkwardly, taking care not to ruin his Legion patch.
"I can pay for that sofa by the way. I'll make sure to wire you the ISK..."
All of a sudden he felt ashamed and humbled to be before the man. He had just saved his life... Granted, that didn't mean much to us mercenaries. But still... What if it did? Even if he were mortal, this Amarr would have worked to save his life.
"You... You saved me. You and the other Templar. Why did you do that? What do you want from me? What, were you going to torture me? Not every day you catch a cloner without his armor. You could have kept me alive just to make my suffering last."
His breathing increases heavily as a mix of confusion, panic, and an odd sense of gratefulness washes over him.

Many emperors wrote of it, and Jamyl has decreed the sin of such actions. This is a universe of of order and hierarchy, we all do our part to strive toward Semper Pax, eternal peace. Slave, serf, commoner, holder, and emperor; all are necessary in the Almighty's plan. Each serves His will, and together we shine the Light of the universe."
*He puts the light and stethoscope away and hands the box to the slave, who takes it back behind the main desk.*
"As to why I saved you, you had done no wrong in my office. I am both a healer and a destroyer. In battle I shall show no mercy for my enemy, be they heathen and heretic, or simply mercenaries. And here I shall not suffer or tolerate heresies and debaucheries with impunity. However, all men are created by the grace of God, even if they choose to deny that God. And because of that fact that I show mercy on those who have yet to anger me. As for why I saved a clone, that is a tad longer, but in simple terms I have little faith in our 'immortality.' Each life is a gift from God that we should not squander, for the day will come when we re-awake no longer. And then we shall stand before judgement. My 'kind' are not the monsters the Empires make us out to be. We are human, just as you are human."
*He looks over the wound to make sure it's sealed.*

"Hello! Building maintenance, I just need to check the pipes in your washroom. The offices downstairs are gettin' rained out and they aint none too happy about it let me tell yas."
Walking over to the office restroom the man enters and latches the door behind him. Quickly getting to work he takes all the paper towels and toilet paper and drops it all into the bowl. Using a nearby can of air freshener he packs it all into the base of the toilet while quietly giggling to himself. After looking over his handiwork he nods and flushes the toilet, then he calmly walks out of the restroom.
"Aight I think the problem is in the next office over so I'll get out of your hair and let yous fellas get back to work. If this visit impeded your ability to conduct business feel free to contact the maintenance department and we'll get yous guys a credit on your rent for the day."
As suddenly as he appeared he walks back out humming a little tune to himself, somewhere in the distance water can be heard softly running. |

For the first time, Galm finds himself speaking not to an Amarr, an Intaki, or a Caldari... He is speaking to a fellow human. The concept, while self-evident, seems alien and unsettling to him. The man before him was no drone to an Empress, but a proud individual who chose his own way of life and would not wish to see it any different.
Galm and Maikyl... They weren't so different.
We are both soldiers. We are both human. We are fundamentally the same.
The thought sat in Galm's stomach like a block of ice.
"I appreciate all of your help. Really, I do."
He checks his own wounds over again. If he could make it back to his quarters, he could access his logistical supplies and try to make things seal up a bit... Smoother? No, that wasn't quite the term he was looking for. He pats himself down as he addresses Maikyl.
"Look, frankly I doubt that your god would even want to speak with me. If we really are to be judged, spare me the wait. I am already damned."
He sniffles again before looking at his boots. For a moment or two, he ponders the prospect.
The Winds have always guided me. With that, what else am I to do but just... Go where the wind takes me?
"However," he begins begrudgingly, "If it will fulfill the debt I owe you in any way, then please, lead the way Templar."

As Kador exits the cavernous Cathedral of the Stayed Sword in the long winding corridors of the Emmisary he has time to mull over the Priestesses words.
It truly was a joy to serve the Empire, he had no other calling truth be told but it was a noble calling none the less and he would not complain.
On a whim he thought he would check in with Paladin Metsar. The Paladin was a man of intese faith and unwavering bravery and skill at arms, numerous tours of the Devoid region with the warrior had taught Kador much about the men and women of the Praetoriate, especially those of his fellow Templars. He hoped the blonde commandant of the Praetoriate ground forces would be in the golden emissary, no doubt immersed in some form of scripture or checking on troop dispositions on some barren frontier world in the Bleaks.
He could almost see the ornate desk, smell the musty notes of ancient texts, and hear the infrequent tones of a neocom....
To his surprise as he entered the room he saw a man clad in a lavish crimson robe, its features trimmed with golden lining, knelt in prayer.
"In the beginning all things were as one. God parted them and breathed life into his creation Divided the parts and gave each its place And unto each, bestowed purpose"
He knew that line, it was from the Scriptures, from the first book if he wasn't mistaken. A truly devout soul is this one he thought to himself silently. In anycase he felt compelled to reach out the the man.
Very much so aware of Templar 12's eyes on him he reached out touching the silky fabric of the robes, noting the fine stiching and lamenting that his own bland roughspun tunic and breaches were not more appropriate for pleasantaries.
"Brother you need not pray here, though your devotion to the Scriptures and the Faith is admirable. Where do you come from to visit us here at the Praetoriate Emissaries simply to pray here, Surely you must have seen the grand cathedral of the stayed sword?" |

"Then be welcome here son of God" came Kador's jovial reply. He did so enjoy conversation with those true sons and daughters of the Amarr, ushering the robed man into the emissary he indicated to him to take a seat if that was to his pleasure.
For himself he busied himself straightening the brown woollen tunic and crimson sash, trying to not hesitate over the medal pinned to his chest he turned away hurriedly polishing it with a sleeve.
"I shall see if Paladin Metsar is present..." He disappears for a few minutes into the rear offices of the Emmisary, nodding his respects to the stoic Templar that still stood to attention beside the Paladin's desk, retuning with a frustrated look upon his face.
He moves to take a seat on one of the sofa's nearby but decides it would be better to stand once he notices the blood stains that coat the piece. He glances over to Templar 12 who merely shrugs his indifference and returns to his duties. Instead he pulls up one of the polished chairs and offers it to the crimson robed man.
"I am sorry brother but...... the Paladin is not here. Perhaps in time he shall return though I know he has not strayed far from the offices. Perhaps while he is gone we may speak. is their anything This One can do for you? A drink perhaps? Quafe? Or something else?" |

"As you wish honoured one."
He notices the Paladin has returned to the Emmisary but the line that are carved into his face give the man a grim and tired appearance. With that in mind Kador thinks it better to leave Metsar alone until he is ready to address the guest.
"It would seem the Paladin has returned though I think it best to leave the poor fellow until he has had his rest. Running and Emmisary like this is surely draining upon oneself..... oh the Spiced Wine..."
Kador ambles through into the back of the offices sweeping aside the gleaming doors and entering the Spartan rooms beyond. Within minutes he has found a pitcher of wine and two cups. Very quickly he pours a sliver of the liquid into his cup, brings it to his lips, and savours the taste as the rich liquid runs down his throat.
He returns to the main forum with a contented look of his face.
"I hope you don't think less of me but I can safely say this vintage is certainly a miracle of God." He says pouring a full cup for his guest, then another for himself. When this is done he raises the glass.
"To the Empire" he toasts, then drains a quarter of the cup.
"As for your earlier question...." He hesitates, fidgeting with the cup in his hands in an awkward manner, bringing to bear the full stare of his dark brown eyes on the man opposite him, subtly puffing his chest out the accentuate the golden medal of St Agleroth upon his breast.
"...I am but a Templar Crusader of the Praetoriate who minister these halls. If it is my attire that gives the impression of civilian status perhaps it is due to my teachings. We were always instructed to be humble before the eyes of God, I have just returned from the Catherdral and had not time to change into a more formal dress.... This One humbly asks for your forgiveness."
Kador takes another sip of the wine, he can feel the warmth spread through his chest. He never much liked being station side, it was always cold to him not matter how much he turned up his cells internal thermogenerators.
Perhaps, He thought, it was time he retuned to the front...
Dismissing the notion, he returned his attentions to he crimson clad guest.

Turning to appraise Metsar he agrees with the attendants statement, he thinks that man looks strung out he needs the solace of being on the front lines.
Taking the cup gingerly in one hand bringing it to his lips he smells the delicious scent and he thinks of the history and work to bring that wine to this moment, "for the Empire" he replies mind alight with the memories then without a further thought he drains half in one gulp. "a good vintage indeed" he murmurs beneath his breath.
Turning eyes upward again to look at the man as he announces who he his, his eyes flickering to the now clearly visible Medal, Wolverine smiles"a pleasure to meet a fellow warrior who's seen true action", he stands up "my presence here good Kador is to simply say your work has not gone unnoticed and i and others like me would be proud to support the Empire." Reaching for a datapad hidden in another pocket within his robe "if i may leave this with you" he gives the cheap data pad to Kador, "to contact me if any of our holy forces require assistance, my gun, suit and soul are always primed for action".

Kador accept the data pad with a certain reverence.
Yet another holy warrior of man stood before him, certainly he could not tell just by looking but the soldier before him felt older. A forerunner or progenitor of sorts.
He also notes the look at the medal, With a fierce pride he begins to speak.
"I shall pass this on to the Paladin when he has taken his rest. I thank you sir the Crusade proceeds apace and there are many front the Paretoriate and Imperial forces cannot fight on. We are outnumber surely, but far from outclassed...."
He transfers the necessary information from the data pad to his Neocom, accessing it and making sure it is archived to the correct locations. He offers the data pad back, but when the man shakes his head he simply tucks it into the folds of his tunic.
" If you seek deployment notices our public channel is name PIE Public, you can seek out fellow warriors of god there who are on deployment as well as seek capsuleers as well."
He drains the last of the cup with ease and sighs with a slight sense of sadness as he realises the rich vintage is now gone. Such were all go things he supposed.
"In anycase I suggest you seek out and pray in the grand Cathedral, it truly is a wonder. If ever you are station side that is likely where you shall find me. Ask for the cloister of Prophetess Anoyia. Please do enter silently and in prayer, her statuette is but another wonder to behold."
With that he rose from the chair into a formal military salute, his right hand flex outward in an awkward gesture over his heart, while the left was nestled tightly against the small of his back.

As the crimson clad loyalist departs the emissary Kador finds himself in a certain melancholy. It was a pleasant exchange he was having with Canus, such as it always was to talk with those enlightened children of God, but of course events continued apace in New Eden an the ever present pall of war was never far off and always calling to both mercenaries and Templar alike.
"That was pleasant wasn't it Paladin?" He said cheerily, turning to face Metsar. "Seems like with all the chaos that has gone on in the shortness of time we have been operational that we have had so few cordial encounters..."
He trailed off, hoping not to upset the Paladin.
In any case he considered it may well be time for some relaxation. Pehaps the gymnasium he though to himself. The ritualistic exercises he had be taught on Iesa were still engrained in his mind. And while the gymnasium was no substitute for the planets vast southern deserts when it came to toughening him up he considered that few other places really would.
However he could not go yet. It wouldn't be the Amarrian shift for another few hours and at present he supposed he would be likely to find nothing but Gallenteans making use of the place and he did not want to get into another argument with them.
instead he decided to take a seat on one of the other couches where he opened up his Neocom and too to reading some of the books of Emperor Heideran's histories. |

She continues hopping idly up on her toes as she examines the bas relief designs. She hops restlessly as she finishes examining the reliefs, hops as she casts her ember eye over the furniture, and hops as she glances over the two Amarr clones conversing in the lobby.
Her (single) eye falls on the armed Caldari assault suit, and she stops hopping. He head cants to the side a few degrees, an oddly birdlike motion. After a moment, she pads right over and plunks down on the seat right next to the ominous black armor without so much as a nod of greeting.

Realizing the shortage in time he has to talk he quickly walks to True Adamence. " Hello Adamence I'm here to explain." The young solider stops talking and looks at his neocom and realizes he doesn't have enough time. " I am sorry about saying hello and then leaving so quickly but I have to defend a district for my corporation owns. I hope you understand. I will be back later ,talk to you then." He leaves with quickly through the entrance while looking at his neocom. |

"Uh... okay" says Kador as the armoured man turns to leave.
Somewhat flustered by the brief encounter, and somewhat confused as to the purpose of the visit, he turns to the other figure.
"Was that Nanpali I heard across the translators" he asks in Amarrian.... realising his own stupidity he pulls out the small neocom unit Canus had given him and checks for translation programmes, satisfied with the one he finds he translates his words into the woman's foreign language.
"Welcome honoured guest. What can I do for you?"
Then he hastily adds
"Of which people are you? You garb says Matari, but your tongue says Caldari. Pardon This One but I am a little on edge as of late."

"... Hm," she says, looking after the departing assault suit, then taps her wrist unit; her voice, when she speaks again, comes from her arm, speaking fluent (obviously translated) Amarrian. "For a moment, I thought we might have a problem."
She pops lightly onto her feet, then, incongruously, bows slowly and formally from the shoulders. "Respectfully, templar, and with apologies, neither is wholly accurate," she says as she follows where beckoned. "The suit is my usual equipment because it complements certain Caldari technology; there is sadly no Caldari equivalent on the market. However, the language is also borrowed from others. I am Achur, myself.
"Ms. Ryeon, templar. Ryeon Yun Hee. And I am fine, thank you; I was going to look in on Fae-haan's shrine of three ways and thought I should stop and pay my respects." The suit's single burning eye takes in the new room, its owner resuming her restless, absent-minded hopping.

"Hm ... perhaps.... Well, as you wish. In that case, it would be a privilege to join you for tea." She raises her hands to unfasten helm and cowl, shaking her head a little as she pulls the protective gear away as though to loosen long hair that no longer exists.
The female clone beneath is utterly normal, for a stock clone. That is to say, of course, hairless, but also so pale as to be colorless, with colorless lips and colorless eyes that, somehow, despite being fully functional and easily as expressive as their owner desires, lack anything that could be described as "lustre." It's not quite corpse-like; adult corpses aren't this smooth. It's not quite like the corpse of a child, either; children aren't this large, and their bone structures aren't so well developed.
The overall effect lies right at the bottom of the "uncanny valley," giving the vague impression that this creature ought to return to the specimen jar from whence it came.
"A little bit of Khanid green would suit very well," the wrist unit translates from the abomination's softly-spoken Achuran. |

Our empires squabble and fight when we should turn our blades to those abominations. They are our greatest threat." "Respectfully, Paladin, there is no shortage of opinions on whom the 'greatest threat' against whom we must all unite might be. The Minmatar, the Gallente, and their sympathizers have been trying to unite us all against your Empire for years. Most of those who have worked strongly against Sansha's Nation consider it an existential threat worthy of unity. And then there are the Sleepers, and the rogue drones, either of which has the potential to become a true nightmare if it seemed to have the inclination. Happily, neither seem to be trying to turn entire solar systems into masses of self-replicating war machines.
"And you would have us turn our weapons on a power that rarely reaches outside of its own borders, not on the basis of what they have done to others, but on the basis of what they are? It is rumored that they are dead already. Of course, half of those rumors seem to be spread by pilots of Sansha's Nation, who seem to be afraid of them.
"It must be difficult for a conquering power when it encounters a more potent force, something that may not easily be subsumed, even if all else falls, something with thousands of years of technological advantage, with treasure houses of secrets we cannot guess at and that it may not even have employed within living memory. It must be terrifying for Sansha Kuvakei, knowing that among his enemies is one whose power cannot be measured with certainty, but is probably vaster than any other foe he faces.
"How do you plan for such a thing? Is it even possible to properly prepare? Probably, you just proceed, and hope that either their power has greatly weakened or that you will be able to figure something out when the time comes."
Her tone remains calm, thoughtful, musing; if she intends her remarks to sting, she gives no hint of it in her voice.
"The Jove have been friends to both the Matari and the Caldari, Paladin, likely because we possess no great truths of heaven that we must spread. Their power holds little terror for us, though their gifts have been, in some senses, disturbing. The hydrostatic capsule is not an unmixed blessing.
"Regardless, the cluster is full of would-be genocides. I wonder what it says that nobody can persuade the necessary numbers to agree that their own particular foe must be swiftly and decisively dealt with. Conversely, most of us are somebody or other's great enemy, whether we think we should be or not." |

We hold territory in the Ouryon 'fight club,' and our battles there have been broadly successful. Our circle of allies has expanded.
"Sadly, we seem to be more of a classic mercenary organization than the State-loyal circle of defenders that Shyeer Alvarin originally envisioned. We take on contracts and pursue them, usually successfully. It is profitable work, but our involvement in the Empyrean War has been limited, in part because the soldiers and allies we have collected have varying, if not necessarily very strong, personal loyalties." |

Kador and Satja enter the emissary, neither look fresh, both wear dishevelled clothing, wrinkles lined their clothers, and Satja's vermillion dress is stained with dark blotches of drying blood that match the crimson Sash about Kador's chest.
As he enters, the other Templars can see the dark rings below Kador's eyes.
"Ave Brothers" He says as he passes them.
The Emissary looks exactly as how he had remembered it. The ornate desk, the Amarrian heraldry, neocom units sprawled acorss desks.
He needs a drink, wine perhaps he thinks to himself.
Behind him Satja trails closely, shifting uncomfortably under the gazes of the other Templars. He leads her to one of the couches, sits her down. She asks for water. He walks out into the back of the Emmisary, and returns minutes later with two full pitchers of water and several glasses on a tray. Two for them, and another three for the other Praetorians.
The pair sit in quiet silence for the next few minutes sipping at the water.
Kador beckons for the others to take some, if it pleases them. |

Noticing the reticence of his guest he decides not to push conversation. Though his thoughts meandered somewhere between curiosity and suspicion on the matters between Denak and Kador. Not that he particularly distrusted or sensed ill will from either, he just has a cautious mind in all situations. That much he had retained from his days in the fraternity's shadowy halls. Maikyl soon abandoned such thoughts and returned them to his meal. The paladin allowed himself two pleasures in his (rather extended) life, well deserved after many decades of asceticism and harsh piety. Those were games and food. On the former he was fond of many kinds of card and board games, especially ancient ones that he felt reflected important life lessons. On the later he was by no means a glutton, but he did take joy in teas and well prepared meals.* |

The Crusader sits quickly. Faster than that he draws himself a modest portion of the fish, taking a large chunk of the flat bread, and begins to assemble a small pile of the tomatoes, cucumber.
"Lord the almighty, we pledge to repay the debt owed by this our daily bread that we partake." he uttered under his breath, dropping his head, eyes closed in prayer.
Without hesitation he began to wolf the meal down, though not to fast, this was his commanding officer and guest, he was seated with. Manners were a necessity, though even thinking this he could not resist taking large bites of the grilled fish and flat bread.
When he was finished, he looked up from the cleared plate, and uttered another quiet prayer. In his usual manner he completed the obeisance with his favourite passage from the Scriptures.
"The word of the Lord is pure, it is a shield for the faithful. Brought unto men by the Angels, as a guiding light in the darkness."
Observances complete, he glanced up at the Intaki, then back to Maikyl.
"It is good to see you here Denak. I thank you again for the shelter you provided myself and Satja. I only hope I can repay in some way that kindness you showed me." |

With a deep sigh Kador returns his attentions to the seated Intaki, the man had be patient with him, and there was no doubt he wished to finish the conversation they had started in the Intaki Emissary earlier.
He relaxes in his chair, running a hand through the short cropped hair, then back down to the crimson sash across his chest straightening it, meticulously working out the slight imperfections in its glossy and lavish surface.
"Well then Denak, I suppose its time we get back to where we were." He says, turns to Metsar, giving him a strange defeated look.

"You brought Satja onto a clone soldier battlefield?" was the first thing that came into Denak's mind, tilting his head in curiosity at Kador. He wasn't sure why he would ever do such a thing, and an explanation on why would certainly sate his curiosity. "I...." The Templar hesitates, as if unsure what to say to justify his actions.
His head slumps defeated.
"I am loathe to part with her. She has been my servant and friend since my...turning... and one of those people who eased my doubts in the early days. I suppose ever since we dragged her out of the downed shuttle on Iesa III, badly burnt and scarred.... I feel.... responsible for her now."
He shrugged, shifted his position, pulling back the cuffs of his doublet to his elbows, then placing one squarely on the table so it would prop his head up. He looks troubled, his expression is distant, the eyes vacant, and dull. Perhaps somethings, he considered, are best left unsaid.
He looked first from Denak, now seemingly curious, his arms extended eagerly across the ornate table, then to Metsar, he wasn't sure if the look itself was disapproving, concerned, or simply indifferent.
All serve the Lord, another reflection, in many ways, is my own so different?
Inside his mind the Templar's Creed screamed at him.
"I will not hesitate when the test of Faith finds me, for only the strongest conviction will open the gates of paradise. My Faith in you is absolute; my sword is Yours, My God, and Your will guides me now and for all eternity."
He discarded the former thought as mere folly.
"In anycase, I found it.... disturbing to have left Satja on her own in combat. She has never seen the front lines of the Crusade, nor been allowed access to certain holy regions of our planets... but for the most part she has been close. A difficult life for a mortal...."
He smiled, as if some thought has given him great joy.
"I swear" you could hear the pride in his voice, it was a nostalgic and warm tone.
"She could have been a Kamiera that one. A better fighter that I was mortal... though I suppose not so learned. Either way she is important to me, like an anchor that keeps me in the present...."
His face felt hot as he said the last part, he sincerely hope the other two men did not see on interpret this change in him.
"Being an immortal soldier, even in the service of the Lord is difficult sometimes...damnation is not an easy prospect to face..... but one worth facing for my people. Surely Denak there must be things that you do that don't often make proper sense, I know this does not justify me risking her...but I.... I am kind of hoping you know how I feel on this." |

He didn't have anyone to rely on, he only had himself for the good part of his entire life. Maybe that was for the better, less heartache for him.

*The paladin gives Kador a disapproving look. Thinking back, he now remembers seeing the Matari woman in the rearguard bases of many of their operations. However he had always just assumed she was one of the serfs that often attended to templars before they returned to the front. Such a duty was common for slaves in service to the military. He did not much like the truth of the matter. Such an emotional crutch was dangerous and distracting, especially so near to the battlefield and present danger. What if the enemy decided to strike the rearguard? Would this templar abandon the front to save his precious slave? Such were the thoughts that filled Metsar's mind, though his countenance remained mostly stoic. He stood up and snapped his fingers, signalling for Torsuul to begin clearing the table. He thought on this old slave of his, who Metsar's father had given to him when he was a child. For decades they had survived together in this world, but Torsuul was not his friend. They were servant and master, and both respected this sacred relationship. His father had taught him that much before the end. It was the most important lesson a Holder must learn. Metsar went over to his desk to finish his requisitions work.* |

Kador could tell almost immediately that Metsar did not approve.
That's fine, he thought, it matters not anyway. As long as I am able to do my duty for God, Empire, and Empress in the way I was taught to such things are not an issue.
Either way Metsar never really approved of his actions, such was unfortunate, it often irked Kador to think is loyalty was in question, or worse, his Faith, so he was not surprised.
"Either way she grounds me. Gives me something more tangible to fight for. Lord knows the Faith is enough."
He turned back to the Intaki, meeting his gaze.

'I suppose that it seems odd for an immortal to place such... dependence on a mortal...My mind would say its folly but for the warning in my heart that tells me otherwise..."
He shrugged again.
"Many people have told me I am foolish over the years.... old friends, officers, and enemies...I suppose I have heard that all my life."
It was not meant as a self pitying thought he supposed, more reflective, his almost glossed over eyes were still wandering beyond the Emmisary, even now he was considering where Satja was. Was she filling out the Paladin's medical forms? At the cathedral in prayer? or elsewhere, lord knew she liked a to spar with the locals if they allowed her.

Behind him the door to the emissary open.
Satja walking, now looking a lot less dishevelled that before. Her hair is once again neatly hanging over her right shoulder, concealing the scars, the bags under her eyes gone, they now look about the room with renewed vigour.
She enters wearing her typical servants garb. A rough spun tunic of similar material and weave to Kador's own tunic he wore for less formal occasions, tan leather breeches, with slim knee high boots in a deep mud brown. The silver promise band at her throat was once again glinting with delight, obviously polished that very morning.
In her hands she carried a small neocom unit. She glanced about, noting Kador and Denak she gave the pair a warm smile, followed by a slight bow and a polite nod of the head.
Noting Metsar at the desk she approached tentatively, taking a knee before his desk, head bowed, neocom clutched to her side.
"Ashaltiasten" She says in a reverent tone. " As you have requested I have completed the medical forms. Godsgrace on you this day Paladin."
At the table Kador turns to greet the young woman.
"Ashaltiasten Satja. You look far better this morning than I had anticipated. After the Paladin has registered you files we have business elsewhere. I must look into some armour hardening units for the Armoured Track." |

Satja frowned at the new comer.
For one thing he was young, then their were the scars. Were they mementos of his humanity? Irreconcilable and unchanging or simply for show, his vanity written all over his face.
What irked her though was the look he gave her. Her skin crawled, the smile was recognisable as something between appreciation and disdain. Looking at him she thought he might have been Gallentean, that would have explained the look she supposed.
She glanced over to Kador, who had gone rigid. Had he seen that same look?
I supposed that's mildly flattering, she considered, her train of though broken by Kador's eerily polite tone.
"Aye welcome" He said, "...I suppose the first thing one would need to learn about the Amarr is that we appreciate manners... but I digress. We have a wonderful library dedicated to the preservation and education of Amarrian culture, run by our very own Templar Twelve.... he is very knowledgeable on the subject. He...."
She noted a slight twinge of Kador's dark eyebrows, perhaps annoyance. He never like the Gallente much, and perhaps this mans entrance had ticked him off.
She bowed low. Interjected, drawing the conversation to herself, cutting off a sharp remark she knew he would regret. She gestured to herself.
" Welcome to you. I am Satja. May I fetch you a drink?" She felt dirty saying those words to a non Amarrian, but somehow she figured it was worth it to avoid and incident.
At this Kador shook his head.
"Either way we are out to business" He commented brusquely. " Sir if you wish to discuss anything specifically, we may do it on the way to Demel's for I have business with his. To me Satja. I thank you Paladin Metsar, for accommodating Denak as well for your time."
And with that the pair exited the Emmisary into the halls. |

He barely acknowledged Echo's existence, simply walking past him and exiting the emissary without further words, except one quietly muttered to himself: "Weko." *smirking at denak's response* " I apologize if I seem to be compensating to you, but where im from, a firm posture is require to be taken seriously." Satja frowned at the new comer. For one thing he was young, then their were the scars. Were they mementos of his humanity? Irreconcilable and unchanging or simply for show, his vanity written all over his face. He scared her a little, for his youth coupled with the dark edge his scars gave him made him implacable, as if her were out of place even amongst the room of older men and immortals. My name is Kador Ouryon, Crusader and Templar of the Praetoriate. We have a wonderful library dedicated to the preservation and education of Amarrian culture, run by our very own Templar Twelve.... he is very knowledgeable on the subject. He...." She noted a slight twinge of Kador's dark eyebrows, perhaps annoyance. I thank you Paladin Metsar, for accommodating Denak as well for your time." She internally shrugged, dropped into a formation at his side, and without looking at the scary Gallentean the pair exited the Emmisary into the halls.
*sensing some strain in the peace of the room, trying at all costs to avid physical conflict since this was not the battle field he is used to*
"I apologize if I am intimidating or appear to be a brute in any way, I am from the federation military, however I have left them in order to pursue an understanding of the cultures of this galaxy... could you be so kind as to point me in the direction of who here would show me the ways of your empire ma'am?" |

Behind him the door to the emissary open. Denak nods firmly, brushing over his suit a little while standing up. "Yes, I shouldn't hold you any longer, I appreciate your hospitality. Even as he was leaving the room he saw the Gallentean bow, and the irritation left his body. He had been disrespectful, and had shamed himself.
"This way if it please you" he says mid departure. "The libraries are this way as is the Cathedral, though I can do my best to educated you on the way."
He hoped the man had heard him, but did not stop to look, business was demanding that he visit Demel's offices in the next few hours.

Another clone walks on but something is different about this clone.
He appears normal, he's got his logi ak0 suit on and is holding an imperial scrambler rifle.
He sits down, leaves his helmet on and starts thinking about how he will explain his predicament.

Also we install a tiny holo-projector in our sidearms that can display religious iconography, making it a battlefield shrine if needed or desired. While I'm not sure what brought you here with it, I can assure you that this is none of our business. I know that there's an Amarran arms dealer at this summit, perhaps you should inquire there?" |

"Hmmm, the Amarran weapons dealer I was thinking of hasn't been around in quite some time. Perhaps try your search here (https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=118405&find=unread) at the summit market. The Carthum Conglomerate has no official presence here so I don't know about directly tracing the gun, but maybe you can find a lead among the arms dealers at the market. I'm sorry templar, but that is about all the assistance I can be with what I know." |

Aero walks into the emissary slowly, his eyes fixating on the various artwork and architecture as his hands graze across the walls. He has been gone from the emissary for awhile, and is taking it all back in.
"It is good to be home." He states very simply, and then takes a seat on a chair in the corner of the lobby.
