You are walking around the massive corridor encircling the main summit rotunda. Lining the outer wall you see hundreds of doors and entrances, each one leading to the offices and quarters of the attending corporations. Your eyes absentmindedly skim the countless corporation names stenciled above the doors. Suddenly one of the entrances catches your eye. The door, a beautifully etched and inscribed golden portal, obviously imported by whichever corporation had set up there. You stop to examine it. To the right of the door is a similarly adorned plaque reading 'P.I.E.' in elegant Amarrian calligraphy. Above the door way is the inscription 'Semper Pax.'
You decide to enter, golden panels slide aside as you step forth into a brilliantly lit lobby. Its walls are tastefully set with bas relief designs, and all the furniture is of richly colored, exotic wood, upholstered with silver and blue velvet. From behind a nearby desk a uniformed man stands up and bows slightly.
"Welcome to the Emissary Offices of the Praetoria Imperialis Excubitoris. Please take a seat and somebody will see you shortly." |

"Let me, and I can't empathise it enough, make it abundantly clear to you that PIE Inc does not tolerate or deal with blooders. Not now, not ever. However for some reason known only to the almighty, blooders constantly show up on our doorstep seeking redemption or acceptance. Now by the regulations of this summit I have to peacefully ask you to leave. And upon contemplating your impending actions be aware that my combat clone is very near." |

Templar Twelve wrote:A lone templar, wearing a full golden medium amarr dropsuit with red stripes, can sometimes be seen standing silently in attention right next to the desk. He has an Amarrian scrambler rifle shouldered on his back along with what looks like a sword with a golden hilt. The only identification to be seen is the number 12, under the PIE insignia, on his left shoulderpad.
Any inquires directed at the templar are forwarded to the uniformed man behind the lobby desk.
Another common sight in the emissary is Maikyl Metsar, an officer who frequently makes use of non-combat clones in full dress uniform. He appears as a young man, early twenties, his blonde hair slicked sharply to the left and cut short on the sides. He has bright green eyes and the gaunt face of the True Amarr. When at the summit he can be seen darting from office to office, filling out datapads of requisition forms and logistical spreadsheets. |

*Metsar looks over at Adamance with piqued interest. He checks his datapad and pulls up the communication, and begins reading. The silence becomes almost awkward as he studies the report. He finishes it with a "Hmph" and thinks for a moment.*
"Seems a wolf has decided to howl. At the moment however we do not know how loud. Quite frankly I doubt there is much to worry about. This has many signs of a bluff. Their open announcement and giving forth details on their plans are not something a terrorist hoping for success would do. I also find it funny that he expects to egress his agents out of Amarr space on cloaked dropships. If such a claim is true I motion we immediately purchase some of these warp-drive capable dropships. But I suppose we must have some contingency in place in case of the unlikely. For now monitor the situation and send me updates. Perhaps see if he has any capsuleer support, I doubt he'll get far without it." |

Every so often a blue spark leaps from the system. Metsar gets up and approaches, his wry smile back.*
"Ashaltiasten, sir. Unfortunately due to recent Matari terrorist threats we are on alert, and quite frankly your appearance does not bode well at the moment. So we are taking some additional precautions. I advice you not to touch the stasis webifier, it hurts. Each serves one higher and none is higher than He. For He is the one true might of the universe... And all shall worship him. The Matari forsook the gift that is service. Abandoned the great light shining as a beacon to all corners of the cosmos. Instead they chose to scurry off into darkness..."
*Attempts to regain composure, takes a breathe and combs fingers through his hair.*
"Now I do have an associate interested in running an Amarr history class at this summit, perhaps your inquiries would be better suited there when and if he opens it. For now I have business to attend to."

*Metsar looks curiously at the coin, then sets it on a nearby table. He felt off about the current situation.*
The heathen played you. Dammit not the voice, Metsar thought. The voice was always there, his true self, but it usually didn't bother him outside of combat. In combat it was a godsend, a sixth sense. Here it was a liability. He knew this wasn't the right office... He's not buying rifles... Then what? Why's he here. Metsar looked around the room. What did he do? Waited. Stared at the reliefs. Shipment story. Children. He didn't even ask for directions. He went straight for them. I see that now, shut up. He doesn't approve of our ways, burn the infidel. This a summit, I can't. Metsar takes a deep breathe, attempting to clear his head. He recites a prayer of solace three times in his mind. The voice quells. Must be the children, he thinks to himself. Not much I can do but observe.
*He moves closer to the engagement, hand stroking the nova knife at his waist. Memories flash of a desert citadel. A sandy courtyard. Dozens of young men sparring with blades. A man watching them. Metsar shakes the thought. Focus.* |

*The slave, with his Ealurian brawn, lifts the dying clone and places him on a sofa by the far wall. Then resumes cleaning the bloodied marble floor. Metsar stands and faces Steady.*
"Do not be so eager to die. I know what you're thinking. Your immortality gives you no fear of death, and you think this makes you strong? Such is folly. How can one fight fiercer than others, go farther than others, defeat others, if they lack the greatest instrument God gave our spirits; the fear of dying. Despite what other empires think of us, we do not hate or harbor ill-will toward even our slaves. For we all serve God. Men who abuse their slaves like that templar are wrong. Many emperors wrote of it, and Jamyl has decreed the sin of such actions. This is a universe of of order and hierarchy, we all do our part to strive toward Semper Pax, eternal peace. Slave, serf, commoner, holder, and emperor; all are necessary in the Almighty's plan. Each serves His will, and together we shine the Light of the universe."

And here I shall not suffer or tolerate heresies and debaucheries with impunity. However, all men are created by the grace of God, even if they choose to deny that God. And because of that fact that I show mercy on those who have yet to anger me. As for why I saved a clone, that is a tad longer, but in simple terms I have little faith in our 'immortality.' Each life is a gift from God that we should not squander, for the day will come when we re-awake no longer. And then we shall stand before judgement. My 'kind' are not the monsters the Empires make us out to be. We are human, just as you are human."
*He looks over the wound to make sure it's sealed.*

"The Praetoria accepts any and all specializations, and generally categorized along the five current divisions; assault, heavy, logistics, scout, and commando. Though we are currently in need of some more heavy support to bolster our squads. As for requirements of entry I'd say the most important is a record of Amarr loyalism, unmarred by any questionable activities or allegiances. We also require the adherence to only Amarr dropsuits, unless no other alternative is available such as scouts currently. And when an Amarran option becomes available for that suit it is expected to switch to it. You can use any weapons or gear of course. Hmm... This would probably be more helpful."

While those of the 'Republic' cry and detest over it, we see it far differently. To us they are 'our' people in rebellion, not some new nation. This is a civil war in our eyes... You know I've noticed a rather romantic notion among the Republic about their past. They have this nostalgic view of a harmonious tribal society. Little the forget that when the first golden fleet reached them, it found a barbaric society. Tribal wars, genocides, power struggles... They were enslaving each other! And their slavers were far crueler than ours... *ahem* Sorry to burst off on my tangent. Anyways when dealing with the Matari I take the stance that they are impetulant children. And before you retort with 'what of our own cloned bodies' I'll say our changes are far from the scale of theirs. And even these bodies we admit are no longer the sacred flesh of our first lives. But of the deviant Jovians... As far as I'm concerned they are daemons lurking in the darkness of the void... And I would see them cleansed from existence... *Metsar takes the bread and spreads some goat's cheese on it. He then places a tomato or cucumber slice on it every few bites. He sips the tea occasionally, a ni-kunni brew he favoured early in the day. He pulls out his NeoCom and peruses his mails and a few prominent ACN articles. Noticing the reticence of his guest he decides not to push conversation. Though his thoughts meandered somewhere between curiosity and suspicion on the matters between Denak and Kador. Not that he particularly distrusted or sensed ill will from either, he just has a cautious mind in all situations. That much he had retained from his days in the fraternity's shadowy halls. Maikyl soon abandoned such thoughts and returned them to his meal. The paladin allowed himself two pleasures in his (rather extended) life, well deserved after many decades of asceticism and harsh piety. Those were games and food. On the former he was fond of many kinds of card and board games, especially ancient ones that he felt reflected important life lessons. On the later he was by no means a glutton, but he did take joy in teas and well prepared meals.* |

"Of course, Kador. The fish and bread may be cold, but the rest was cold already. Sit and eat, Torsuul could even warm up the fish for you."

*The paladin gives Kador a disapproving look. Thinking back, he now remembers seeing the Matari woman in the rearguard bases of many of their operations. However he had always just assumed she was one of the serfs that often attended to templars before they returned to the front. Such a duty was common for slaves in service to the military. He did not much like the truth of the matter. Such an emotional crutch was dangerous and distracting, especially so near to the battlefield and present danger. What if the enemy decided to strike the rearguard? Would this templar abandon the front to save his precious slave? Such were the thoughts that filled Metsar's mind, though his countenance remained mostly stoic. He stood up and snapped his fingers, signalling for Torsuul to begin clearing the table. He thought on this old slave of his, who Metsar's father had given to him when he was a child. For decades they had survived together in this world, but Torsuul was not his friend. They were servant and master, and both respected this sacred relationship. His father had taught him that much before the end. It was the most important lesson a Holder must learn. Metsar went over to his desk to finish his requisitions work.* |

*The paladin sits at his desk, idly doing paperwork. It feels like forever since he's been in the emissary, even though in truth it was only a few weeks. The deployments were hard... Each inch of ground a struggle. The calmness of the summit was a drastic change of pace. Two newcomers had just arrived and Metsar closed out his files to address them.*

*The paladin gingerly picks up the pistol, inspecting it. He first ejects the clip to ensure it's empty, it was, then he runs a hand along the grip and down the slide. Satisfied he sets it back upon the bundle of packaging.*
"Well I can tell you that its not one of ours. PIE issued weaponry is rather hard to miss, we tend to get them custom-engraved with our emblems, and they are codified to each templar. Also we install a tiny holo-projector in our sidearms that can display religious iconography, making it a battlefield shrine if needed or desired. While I'm not sure what brought you here with it, I can assure you that this is none of our business. I know that there's an Amarran arms dealer at this summit, perhaps you should inquire there?" |

*Pulls out a datapad and taps on it for a bit.*
"Hmmm, the Amarran weapons dealer I was thinking of hasn't been around in quite some time. Perhaps try your search here (https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=118405&find=unread) at the summit market. The Carthum Conglomerate has no official presence here so I don't know about directly tracing the gun, but maybe you can find a lead among the arms dealers at the market. I'm sorry templar, but that is about all the assistance I can be with what I know." |
