*Looks at Cormack with an eyebrow raised in annoyance.*
"We did not 'torture' the Matar, we honored them when we set foot in their system. We enlightened them. We gave their race purpose and meaning in this universe. By placing chains on their bodies, we removed the chains on their spirits. We are all servants of the Almighty, me-you-everyone. This universe is His dominion, and His is a dominion of order. Each serves one higher and none is higher than He. For He is the one true might of the universe... And all shall worship him. The Matari forsook the gift that is service. Abandoned the great light shining as a beacon to all corners of the cosmos. Instead they chose to scurry off into darkness..."
*Attempts to regain composure, takes a breathe and combs fingers through his hair.*
"Now I do have an associate interested in running an Amarr history class at this summit, perhaps your inquiries would be better suited there when and if he opens it. For now I have business to attend to."
*Turns to ReGnYuM.*
"As for you sir, please refrain from making demands of me in my emissary. I invite you to take a seat and we can discuss whatever you've come here for."
*Snaps fingers, door from back offices opens and a finely dressed Ealur slave emerges pushing a cart.*
"Now could I offer you a refreshment? Perhaps even something for your attendents?" |

A lone Caldari male, just out of his youth, stands looking at the reliefs in amazement and wonder, both impressed by the artistry and disgusted by the opulence of an empire who could raise such beautiful structures.
His hair, while not necessarily long and untidy, is far too unkempt for him to be an average cloner. Rather than encasing himself in his usual combat attire, it appears that he has clothed himself in civilian clothing with modified pockets for repair tools, components, and medical supplies. Various patches from various combat units are all sown into his jacket, which appears to be far older than the man himself. Among them, the crest of Mordu's Legion sits proudly on his right shoulder.
In his hand he is spinning a BetaMax Beta challenge coin as he continues to study the architecture, awaiting his turn to speak to the Emissary.
It is obviously that he feels uncomfortable around so many Imperials. |

Fae rolled the coin in his hand again, attempting to make himself look focused on the artwork.
By the Maker, first gens... Two first gens, he thought to himself, I thought all of them had gone mad or been hunted to extinction by now.
It was unsettling, being so close to them. From what he had heard of first gens... How they would ramble in their sleep and bash there own heads in to silence voices no one else could here... Could they all be true? If they truly were Templars, then they would be a force to be reckoned with. He thought of the reason why he was in the Emissary to begin with as he gazed over the reliefs for what must have been the 16th time.
His mind drifted to the Minmatar children.
I should say something.
But what could he say that would really make a difference? All they would do is throw him out.
He eyed the wall for a seventeenth time.
And those Templars... Just one body could go for millions on any market. True, these may have been Empire loyalists, but he would have no trouble selling a corpse off to some Gurista as a twisted trophy to display in a ship's hull. The suit itself would probably be worth something too with all that gold plating.
Galm thought of the Nova Knife stashed in his boot. It was just a glorified can opener really, used for cutting wires, but he could deputize it as a rirokai if he had to. His taistoiitsu had rusted since his last hand-to-hand fight, but he was sure he could make due. Those Amarr suits made Templars slow and heavy, and the other wasn't even wearing a vest. It would be easy...
Stab the Templar, pull his Scrambler Pistol, drop two shots into the other. Even if I couldn't make off with the body, at least I could get the children out of here and put them to work until they can find themselves a good home. I would be out before they could even spawn and on a shuttle bound for low-sec.
Not that he would consider causing a such a scene. He was here for business, and he wasn't about to let his temper ruin a possible shipment. He thought back to what the Human Resources officer told him.
"You need to be more tolerant. Maybe try curbing that headstrong attitude."
He was right, he should calm himself. He was half Intaki dammit, it shouldn't be that hard. Still, it was nice to know that if worst came to worst he could still hold his own.
He eyed the wall for the 18th time. |

Good, I got my foot in the door.
He'd been tracking down whispers of the two Minmatar children in the Summit since he first heard of the aging Templar in a nearby forum. His original intent seemed simple enough: intercept the Templar, make an offer, kill him if he refuses. Of course, that was before he knew that there were two of them under one roof. For all he knew, there could be even more. It was an unsettling business.
Anything to make things right, he thought to himself.
He looks over at the two children, then back to Maikyl.
"Legion? Oh, no. I am not with the Legion, this was my father's jacket. He had a bit of a tradition of keeping every combat patch he served under. I try to keep up the tradition to honor his spirit. Now if you will excuse me."
He flips his coin over to Malkyl.
"Take that as a token of my appreciation for your time."
Fae redirects his attention to ReGnYuM's two children. He gives both a cold and clinical look before turning back to the Templar. Immediatly his mind went back to his Nova Knife.

*Metsar looks curiously at the coin, then sets it on a nearby table. He felt off about the current situation.*
The heathen played you. Dammit not the voice, Metsar thought. The voice was always there, his true self, but it usually didn't bother him outside of combat. In combat it was a godsend, a sixth sense. Here it was a liability. He knew this wasn't the right office... He's not buying rifles... Then what? Why's he here. Metsar looked around the room. What did he do? Waited. Stared at the reliefs. Shipment story. Children. He didn't even ask for directions. He went straight for them. I see that now, shut up. He doesn't approve of our ways, burn the infidel. This a summit, I can't. Metsar takes a deep breathe, attempting to clear his head. He recites a prayer of solace three times in his mind. The voice quells. Must be the children, he thinks to himself. Not much I can do but observe.
*He moves closer to the engagement, hand stroking the nova knife at his waist. Memories flash of a desert citadel. A sandy courtyard. Dozens of young men sparring with blades. A man watching them. Metsar shakes the thought. Focus.* |

Confusion boils over to rage as he watches ReGnYuM take the child with him. By the time he has a grasp on his medical supplies, the Templar has already left. Galm throws the supplies into the air as he violent bashes against his own head with his fists in a fit of anger.
Before he knows it he it spewing a maelstrom of Napanii that he hasn't let slip sense he was a child. If the Amarr in the building could understand what he was saying, it would make the air turn blue.

He thought back to the Seituoda... What they turned him into... What he had become. He would never make up for that... but....
If I could do something... Anything to make things right. Anything to wash it all away... Maybe I can change what I have become.
He turns over to Metsar, discovering that the Templar had been watching him this whole time. With a defeated look he imitates the motion of slicing his own throat with a slight chuckle before speaking.
