With the internet it's actually not that you're being "immature" as much as you aren't filtering your actions based on your cultural and social norms. This "immaturity" is actually a closer representation of what we are actually like than how we act in the "real world". |

I too am 35 and yes, E.T. on the 2600 was one of my firsts as well. Very first was actually some tank game called Blasto on a Texas Instruments computer. Having grown up alongside the evolution of video games is something I find very interesting and hold dear. Despite its flaws, Dust 514 is a culmination of many of the things I and people of my generation have always wanted out of games and I am excited about the next 25 years of games to come. Started gaming on my pops old '86 Macintosh. Had a game on there called Exile, an old DnD style RPG game where it had this fun little gameplay element that when you died, you were sent to hell and you had to fight and find your way out to get back to the game.
Aside from that was the Sega Genesis with Sonic, NBA Jam, and Mortal Kombat 2. Good times were had. |

If not I am really keeping quiet about my age. I remember playing Defender down at my local swimming pool (it had a cafe with a small but cool arcarde). I was 6.
When I was about 8 I played Pac-Man when it was first released at a local pizza restaurant. Before that it was just Space Invaders. Across the street at the mall there were pinball machines and early vector graphic based games like Tempest.
Frogger, Donkey Kong and Pole Position blew my mind!
The Atari to me looked like this game would to an 8 year old now.
Now guess about how old I am. |

If we're all in our mid to late 20's, why are we all so immature on here? It is because people think they can act how they truly want to on the internet with no real repercussions for themselves, whereas in real life, you have to hold your tongue sometimes. 26, btw. FYP

Kids are still kids until they are 22-23 if you ask me. Unless you've had a horrible childhood, you still haven't matured until then and even then it is a stretch, you may have had a childhood that stunted your maturation (more common than many would want to admit). |

Agreed. I haven't led a terribly sheltered life, but I still feel like I'm maturing at age 22. |

Age is inconsequential. What really matters is the size of your muscles. I've got really large, powerful glutes. Anyone care to take me on? I thought so. |
