This is all I see from people who want tanks nerfed or think they are fine the way they are. I never see any facts from them and statistics. They never take the time to test things. All they do is attack tank drivers personally for their excuses.
Yet because there is many CCP walks over to them and coddles them even though they give no support.
Tanks drivers.
We talk about tanks are becoming glass cannons. We show the facts aka look at my rail threads. We say they are going in the wrong direction. We again go over the facts with them. We talk about Forges. AV grenades. Flux. And swarms and go over the problems with them.
We talk about how match making is what makes us seem OP. Because proto tanks end up in matches with militant geared players. And newer players that do not know much. So we gain this look of power. But once you are put in a match with a squad at your lvl a proto tank turns to dust against proto AV set ups. So the stats get skewed horrible that CCP is looking at. It does not take in account the times tanks are actually thrown in against even playing field and they become candy.
Anti-tank kids come in use attack tactics with no support to their reasons.

Just going to throw out an Av infantry's opinion. While I cant speak about marauder tanks (never saw them in a match) I personally think current chromosome standard tanks are fine. If it's badly fit, one guy is going to take it down. Reasonable. if the driver makes bad decisions, one guy again will probably take it down. Also seems reasonable. However, if the tank is well fit and the driver is skilled at driving it, the most an av guy can do is make it back up a bit, 2 can pin it down and it generally takes at least 3 to fully destroy it. All of these points seem reasonable to me, a swarm launcher is the rock to our scissors, and the other infantry are the paper. You smash the paper, and we distress your scissors or, destroy it outright. To my knowledge, standard tanks are going to be relatively the same in Uprising. (Could be wrong, correct me if I am) |

... We say they are but we actually go over the facts. We do not just ***** because our AR does not kill tanks. We go through things and back up why we say these things.
I have never seen one post showing the facts that on the reverse side. Have you ever studied AV against vehicles. Created a private CB and test these things. Nope you just cry wolf.

There may be some tweaking needed but still....
I get my 753k tank blown up,I don't rage over it, people that do are simply the type of people who are psychotic enough to yell and scream at the tv and complain on a forum later. Stupid but it how it works??? |

99% percent of tanks should have to have support to survive. Just because it is a tank doesn't mean it is forever. Tanks need support to live.

99% percent of tanks should have to have support to survive. Just because it is a tank doesn't mean it is forever. Tanks need support to live.
Do you really think Tankers don't know this? We die without support unless we're against a **** team, we get it, but how can you have "support" when you have swarms hitting you from a massive distance and Forge Guns 4 shotting you before your infantry can react?
Go look at the stats of the new "Enforcer" tank, it's effectively a militia tank with more slots, I find it a struggle to fit a capable tank as it is. We've been reduced to oversized snipers and you Infantry players are going to see what happens when you can't hit us anymore with your AV nades and forges because we've been forced to sit on an unreachable mountain in the red line, I look forward to the immense QQ and mails about being a "coward" and not coming out to fight.

lets look at this from cost to success ratio, a proto FG with proto gear is 400k ISK tops, and a proto tank with proto gear would be 3 mill right? ok who will win the most out of 100 matches? for the cost it would be logical to have... so 3,000,000 divided by 400,000 is 7.5 , with that ratio compared to your personal WLR does that make sense? |

This is the real problem. The difference between a legit corp battle and a pub match.
And the only way i can see fixing this is to make come of the tanks cheaper and crappier, but then have some better tanks which can hold up in a corp battle.... but also be expensive enough to not want to lose it in a pub match.
Or, let CCP do what they are doing and feel around with the changes so they can actually figure out what the best course would be. If they went solely went off the forum, the changes would be too erratic. |

I hope CCP isn't just looking at the raw stats from matches, when you consider that a lot of tanks in ambush are dropped after the enemy team has lost the footwar it would make the tanks look very overpowered, but if that is the case hopefully the amount of militia tanks that get pwned by AV grenades balances it out a little. |

So they look at a sagaris if they have been dropped in a ton of ambush maps with newer players what happens most of the time the stats are going to make sagaris look like gods of the battle field.
Yet in reality we are just getting thrown in with people that are very new to the game and do not have much past militant AV. Super unbalanced match making. The few times it is balanced the sagaris never survives even with the top tank players it does not make it. |

Edit: Yet Proto AV is able to run around solo hide on roof tops solo and beat on tanks all day long. They have no reason to run around with a group. They talk about tanks needing full squads running with them. But they barely run with one other person unless it is a few of them running AV.

I was considering the use of tanks again for uprising but then I saw this:
Enforcer Falchion shield 2k armor 770 shield recharge 22/2 CPU 320 PG 1805
Enforcer Vayu shield 690 armor 2230 shield recharge 8/s CPU 210 PG 2490
For 1 mil ISK and a lot of SP requirements this is now a complete waste effort as I get frequently blow up sturdy tanks with my Forge Gun. Most dropships only requires 1-2 shots of my Forge to destroy and requires little to no risk. So far the only AV weapon that doesn't ruin vehicle gameplay is the plasma cannon as it has low damage, clip size, and slow projectile speed. These new tanks can't even be called Enforcer as it clearly can't stay in the map for long, either get someone with a forge to blow it up in 3-4 shots or get one guy to sit on a nanohive and spam AV grenades.
I really had hopes to see tanks making a comeback but now I'll just have to stay focused on infantry battles. |

1 question to the underline, the DS has little to no risk (or ISK if tis a typo) or the FG load-out?
well.... I guess there's a reason why the tank skill is inside LAV operation HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA (sorry, found it funny yet VERY SAD). Tanks need to get a comeback next build (as in, next next build... the build after they did the killing blow...which is this build...as in this upcoming build... CCP you still following?).
but also on a sad note, I can say my DS has more HP then a tank and I won`t need to show the modules and skills behind it to prove it (note I`m NOT SAYING DS NEED A NERF but saying tanks need a buff). |

Better get to work on my rail skills, I remember you coming after me after I hit your dropships on Manus (I am sorry :( If CCP would nerf the damn rails, it'd be nice), you were very persistent with that AV. |

As I've said before in any HAV vs AV topic: I was under the impression that this game was supposed to reward players for specializing in a specific role. Tankers did exactly that and became the best pilots they could be. Their effective counter AV was left behind and neglected by AR purists, CoD casuals, or people too ignorant to realize that militia AV isn't supposed to kill a prototype tank. The word nerf got thrown around more than a NERF corporate TPS report from crybabies because they couldn't blow up an HAV with an assault rifle. Instead of CCP replying with a smile and a HTFU, tankers got nerfed. For what? They were the only players in this game playing it correctly. They specialized in their role and because it wasn't infantry shield tanking caldari assault with an AR, they got burned. Heavies suffered a similar fate at the beginning of every build. We need to face facts here, this isn't Dust 514 anymore, it's AR 514, the futuristic version of CoD, fluffed up with a sat sheet that doesn't matter because you still die to 3 bullets. They sure put the CoD in Codex on this build.
Will any of this change on May 6-14th? Only time will tell. But at the rate things are going and the direction this game is going. Variety will truly be dead if they stick to this path. |

This **** won't change, CCP wants easy cash and obviously players couldn't handle the fact they had to specialize, they wanted to be the jack of all trades and master of everything, so they began leaving, more players leaving = less cash for CCP, so it looks like they're going for a model that works, ARs wooh. |
