From the video it looks like the scrambler rifle is has terrible spread but has a cool hold down the triggers for an effective blast/beam shot.
Suit could be a gallente heavy, but is moving a little too fast for a heavy. |

Since this Gallente suit is clearly a medium frame suit, and the Gallente scout is a small frame suit, I'm guessing the upcoming Gallente pilot suit is the large frame suit. Looks like its a very armor-based suit from the shield and armor meter. |

'Frame' Size is a generalized description.
These will be aysemetrical in population just that suits in those frame sizes will have general expectancies and dont expect them to be even all the time.
Heavy Frames High HP low mobilitiy Medium Frames Average HP and mobility Light frames Low HP high mobility
What will be attempted to keep symetrical is the specific class of suits. While dust 514 is suffering from art bottleneck on this issue so expect every race to get
Assault Scout Heavy Pilot Command Crusader Logistics Atlas Covert and many many more types of suits.
Hell it will not surprise me in the future if they make it so that the type 2 suits have different models. So a caldari assault type 1 suit looks entirely different from the type 2 suit, even possibly get unique names like Aegis and Claymore. |

Back in the old days, gallente had armor tank repair rate with the best shield regeneration (but certainly not the thickest of shields) thus it was safe to say they where regenerative tankers, vs the amarrian doctine of just having thick armor. |

My observations in the trailer: -plasma cannon on the killfeed at the beginning of the vid (blows up a tank) -scrambler rifle has 2 firemodes, charge up with increased damage or fully auto with overheat function -2 districts on 1 loaded map (plateu and the orbital canon map you can see that at 0:57) - new "hacking arm module" - new dropsuit (probably gallante) - the kills from the OB where in a green colour (probs the colour of the eve pilot) - orbital canon map after titan crashed (this map variation was not in the rotation which is stupid) |

The enemy dropsuits were militia according to the Eve side kill feed so it may have been a militia only test match. If not then yeah, that suit had better have some way of compensating for its awful stats.

In eve we have tech 1 and tech 2 sort of things
Tech 1 - Generalist Tech 2 - Specialists
So instead of a suit that can do just about anything, you now have a suit that is far more niche in its role. Right now Amarr heavy suits for example quite able to roam around and do things from killing AV to killing infantry. A specialist suit could be like a mobile pillbox. while not all that fast you're not killing him anytime soon. Or there could be one that is more focused on the use of heavy weapons, maybe have higher reserve amount of ammo and more damage and mobility. it wont be able to tank like the other one but it can certainly kill more. |

I like the fact it's armor tank over shields, fits the lore and it would be interesting how can that suit can have high HP while moving fast and equip damage mods on the high slots at the same time. My LR will have a hard time killing these types of suits...

Here are my observations regarding the new footage;
The Plasma Cannon is visible @ 1m10s, where the person on the right is using it. It's obviously a rocket launcher weapon of some sort. Everything else you see is using the Scrambler Rifle, which appears to be semi-automatic have a click/hold mechanic. You can click as much as you like to fire until overheating OR you can click/hold to charge until overheating. A clear example of charging the SR is visible @ 1m20s, and its semi-auto nature @ 2m4s.
Pretty awesome if you ask me.
The green name in the killfeed is very obviously squad related. Also the Gallente Assault-looking suit has 250 armor, which wouldn't be a stretch considering that the Caldari *shield suits* have 220 shields. |

noticed the plasma cannon shot with a pretty steep drop to the projectile requiring you to gauge your shot based on distance im sure. hopefully the fact that this weapon is much more skill based in comparison to the swarm launcher it has a better payoff. |

There are adding districts, the first step in getting the RTS game down. So expect to see many many new gun game items coming as I am sure they have massive numbers on where they want all the current and future weapons/dropsuits to be. Its just a matter of patching them in, I would assume they are already ready and they were just waiting for the go ahead. They just wanted fewer variables to deal with while they fixed and tuned the system.
Now, once we get the next big patch, we get to bang on districts for a good long while before they start adding more customization with buildings and installations. Once they are happy with the way district combat is working, I would guess the other features of districts that don't deal with combat directly will come rather fast. |

You have to imagine that anything they have spoken about with any real type of discription has at least a working model built in their DEV platform. Beyond that, there is still a ton of testing and adjustments that need to be made before launching it. It could be a shield bubble but just an early proto of it. |

By this logic they have semi-working versions of all that stuff.
I think they've got more than enough work to do implementing things we first saw a year a ago (drones for example) to be more than one build ahead on comparatively recent ideas.
I could be wrong, maybe that module is easier to program and is somewhere in the work the devs are doing now but to see it in a test of next build sufficiently advanced to be hooked up to the live event (assuming that wasn't all smoke and mirrors) seems far fetched to me.

Definitely. Anything right now is pure speculation. I am just going by general ideas of development time and such. Usually, a company would only hint towards something if they have a general idea of how it would work and have at least sketched it out with the understanding of how it would work in a game.
I think thats why they have been somewhat mum about any type of attack or speed aircraft. Could you imagine something like a 'jet' or gunship in the game with the HARD (ie deadly) flight ceilings, limited map size and ninja ADV's?
Alot is going to change with bigger maps. I think this is where Tanks become a little less of a factor as speed will become a big point in getting to objectives and tanks would be subject to more open terrain that they would have to cross which in turn would lead to being more of a target with less cover to repair/recharge. |

Yeah but there's time missing from that sequence.
1.32 : Klystron kills Silviu with a GEK. 1.36 : Zevulun kills Kaioku with a Freedom Mass Driver.
1.43 : Wipe to Space.
1.48 : Cut back.
sometime between 1.43 and 1.48 : Klystron has killed Silviu with a Gek and the message is fading from feed.
The other killfeed entries fade in about eight seconds, putting time of death at about 1.41 when we know he wasn't on feed.
Unless re-spawn time was changed (OB with no points hacked, therefore devhax) Silviu had to have spawned sometime during the space sequence. Also if death to kill feed notice fadeout is eight seconds more time passed in the ground battle than during the space sequence and was edited out. |

That's the Gallente Assault.
First Pilot suit is Gallente but they're small framed (similar to how LAVs are light vehicles would be the better analogy)
The firs Crusader (NOT COMMANDER) suit is amarrian.
Commander suits are for controlling the MCC.

Commander suits are for controlling the MCC. Do you have a source that confirms the Pilot is a small frame?
Do you have a source that confirms the suit in the video isn't a Pilot suit?
It clearly looks Gallente, and it clearly looks like a Medium Frame, but that's all we can say with 100% certainty. It's possible it's a Pilot suit, or that it's something else other than an Assault-equivalent. We didn't see evidence that it's anything other than a presumed-Gallente Medium Frame suit in that video.
If you have more information and it's definitive, please share? Thanks.

Sources are diverged from drop hints and inadvertent answers.
Pilot suit is likely not going to have a light arm (thus have a side arm only) accessible and makes up for it with modules that is supposed to improve vehicle Performance significantly.
As for race I can confirm you its is Gallente and none else. You can recolor the suit to the various other races' normal themes and it would not look right. Archtypical designs, Aethetics, design theory and approach to solutions all indicate Gallente thinking went into that suit. As an eve online pilot and with 100s of other sources to look up for Gallente design styles it is very hard to argue anything else.
As for who has what suit.. Sever Data dump says Pilot suit was Gallente and Amarrian has the crusader. This brings the total classes per weight size to 2 a piece, Scout and Pilot Lights, Assault and Logistics Medium, Crusader and Heavy, Heavy. However frame sizes I do expect not to remain even. In the further future medium and small frames are likely to be dominate in number.
In the further future as well pilot suits and crusader suits will be made in all races as well as well as vehicles and the sorts.
As for new tidbits of dev information.
Missile turrets will be getting lock (and not homing) on features in the future. |

Looking at the Battleclinic data dump, I get:
Atlas (Gallente Heavy?) Avenger (Spectre) - Tech 2? Beholder (Titan) - Tech 2? Berserker (Spectre) - Tech 2? Breach (Amarr Scout?) Cypher (Sigma) - Tech 2? Gallente Pilot (?) Hunter (Spec Ops) - Tech 2? Infiltrator (Shock) - Tech 2? Insurgent (Breach) - Tech 2? Mauler (Breach) - Tech 2? Omen (Amarr Logi?) Operator (Omen) - Tech 2? Raider (Spec Ops) - Tech 2? Savior (Omen) - Tech 2? Shock (Minmatar Assault?) Shrike (Atlas) - Tech 2? Sigma (Caldari Logistics?) Spec Ops (Caldari Scout?) Spectre (Minmatar Heavy?) Stormguard (Shock) - Tech 2? Titan (Caldari Heavy?) Trojan (Sigma) - Tech 2? Vorguardian (Titan) - Tech 2? Vorwraith (Atlas) - Tech 2?
I am ignoring, for this, the existing types we already know and their variations. |

I'm going to bet the pilot suit is large framed, since we already have a Gallente small frame, and we just saw a Gallente medium frame (the Gallente "assault"). |

Tbh, I hadn't noticed that there was no map sequence and the reason I went super nerd about the whole thing was because I was checking carefully in the hope that you're right. For all I know that OB was triggered by the player hitting R1 and the delay was just the pilot connecting to the district. I personally don't mind that OBs can be dropped from anywhere but I do think that they need to streamline both the designation mechanic and the way Eve players respond to our requests. |

As Amarr the scrambler rifle looks awesome! Though what I'm most excited for is how it appears they finally linked Skim Junction and Manus Peak. It's already been known for awhile that the two were right next to eachother, but expanding the red lines to include them both is awesome! Didn't they say the new update will have 48 players for public matches? That might explain that. I know they said PC will only be 32, which I guess is still an improvement from 16 in current corp battles. |
