Confirmed thats the Gallente Assault. Interestingly the scrambler rifle has two firing modes. |

and the scrambler rifle looks cool too I agree, looks like a gallente assault - armor tanked though so could be amar?
Amarrian art design calls for far different asthetics. its not amarrian. |

'Frame' Size is a generalized description.
These will be aysemetrical in population just that suits in those frame sizes will have general expectancies and dont expect them to be even all the time.
Heavy Frames High HP low mobilitiy Medium Frames Average HP and mobility Light frames Low HP high mobility
What will be attempted to keep symetrical is the specific class of suits. While dust 514 is suffering from art bottleneck on this issue so expect every race to get
Assault Scout Heavy Pilot Command Crusader Logistics Atlas Covert and many many more types of suits.
Hell it will not surprise me in the future if they make it so that the type 2 suits have different models. So a caldari assault type 1 suit looks entirely different from the type 2 suit, even possibly get unique names like Aegis and Claymore. |

Back in the old days, gallente had armor tank repair rate with the best shield regeneration (but certainly not the thickest of shields) thus it was safe to say they where regenerative tankers, vs the amarrian doctine of just having thick armor. |

I was under the impression these were more likely to be pre-fits like the raider, etc. Cat Merc wrote: Either that dropsuit is heavily underpowered against the Caldari assault dropsuit, or it has no modules for tanking. And unlike the devs that have all the skills, I don't even have max shield control and whatever the name of the armor bonus.
The enemy dropsuits were militia according to the Eve side kill feed so it may have been a militia only test match. If not then yeah, that suit had better have some way of compensating for its awful stats. Plasma Cannon
In eve we have tech 1 and tech 2 sort of things
Tech 1 - Generalist Tech 2 - Specialists
So instead of a suit that can do just about anything, you now have a suit that is far more niche in its role. Right now Amarr heavy suits for example quite able to roam around and do things from killing AV to killing infantry. A specialist suit could be like a mobile pillbox. while not all that fast you're not killing him anytime soon. Or there could be one that is more focused on the use of heavy weapons, maybe have higher reserve amount of ammo and more damage and mobility. it wont be able to tank like the other one but it can certainly kill more. |

Um no, the type 2 suits are getting removed. There will be 4 types of each suit. 4 scouts 4 heavies. The type 2 shield tanked heavy for instance will be instead the caldari heavy with a new model
Source? last time I asked the type 2 s where staying in as suit variants similar to how weapon variatns are staying in. |

That's the Gallente Assault.
First Pilot suit is Gallente but they're small framed (similar to how LAVs are light vehicles would be the better analogy)
The firs Crusader (NOT COMMANDER) suit is amarrian.
Commander suits are for controlling the MCC.

Commander suits are for controlling the MCC. Do you have a source that confirms the Pilot is a small frame? Do you have a source that confirms the suit in the video isn't a Pilot suit? It clearly looks Gallente, and it clearly looks like a Medium Frame, but that's all we can say with 100% certainty. It's possible it's a Pilot suit, or that it's something else other than an Assault-equivalent. We didn't see evidence that it's anything other than a presumed-Gallente Medium Frame suit in that video. If you have more information and it's definitive, please share? Thanks. NOTE: I'm not saying you're wrong, just hoping you'll share your sources)
Sources are diverged from drop hints and inadvertent answers.
Pilot suit is likely not going to have a light arm (thus have a side arm only) accessible and makes up for it with modules that is supposed to improve vehicle Performance significantly.
As for race I can confirm you its is Gallente and none else. You can recolor the suit to the various other races' normal themes and it would not look right. Archtypical designs, Aethetics, design theory and approach to solutions all indicate Gallente thinking went into that suit. As an eve online pilot and with 100s of other sources to look up for Gallente design styles it is very hard to argue anything else.
As for who has what suit.. Sever Data dump says Pilot suit was Gallente and Amarrian has the crusader. This brings the total classes per weight size to 2 a piece, Scout and Pilot Lights, Assault and Logistics Medium, Crusader and Heavy, Heavy. However frame sizes I do expect not to remain even. In the further future medium and small frames are likely to be dominate in number.
In the further future as well pilot suits and crusader suits will be made in all races as well as well as vehicles and the sorts.
As for new tidbits of dev information.
Missile turrets will be getting lock (and not homing) on features in the future. |
