How many of you would use an XBow if there was one?

I am thinking about something like a sniper rifle but at closer range. It would be cool if we had an XBow that we could retrive the ammo back once we kill the enemy.

Not sure about the long term uses of it but it would sure be a fun thing to have!

i think a bow would be awesome,bring some old tech into the new tech,maybe have a support bow to disable "electronics"to do dmg or to stun something( for a sec or two.have it be able to be long distaant.maybe a artilery bow?like a grenade end tip that can be shot in a distance.or just a reguler arrow to kill,it would bring silence to the stealthy.t would be kool to have

Why would I want to use a crossbow ?

Listen we got plasma guns,smg's, Hmg's forge guns, shotguns, laser guns soon, massdrivers, sniper rifles that can kill from half way across the map, swarm launchers.

to snipe with style ;) plus sniper rifles have a high sig if you were to snipe with a crossbow or regular bow you would have a very low sig

Arrows don't travel as far as bullets

correction, with the right skills, they can kill from almost all the way across the map

I don't think some kind of energy melee weapon would be out of the question like a sword, but a bow is just silly. There is a reason army's stopped using them for projectile weapons when guns got made. Swords and nova knifes makes since because guns are less effective at melee. At range guns always wins vs bows and arrows.

And as for the silent argument there are quiet guns too.

lets see.you are thinking like robin hood bow right well i was thinking bout a high tech bow made of "super awesome future space metal" that has a stupidly high pull back and with the speed and the arrow thing made of metal with a bomb at the end.i think it would go through your shield(disrupt it if it was a support arrow like a emp arrow?)or atleast dmg your shield

irl a person can kill someone just as easy with a bow as a gun,maybe more wexscruciating to the victim lol but none the less more stealthier.besides if you read you can see ways it can be used

only if it's minmatar and it's arrows with mini nuke tips. At least lore wise :P

That isn't necessarily a point for bows. The energy of the bullet being transferred to the sand would mean a more severe wound. Punching a neat hole through the target -- which broadhead arrows don't exactly do, but I'm guessing you weren't using those -- isn't as potentially lethal.

Just so you know a hunting tip arrow or any combat knife can easily penentrate a ballistic armor which stops FMJs or Hollow Points! So lets not try to downplay anything just because someone is ignorant! Muaaaahhhhh!

These bows your suggesting would be incredibly OP. Arrows that can wipeout someone's shield and then another one to drill into his armour? Doesn't sound fair to me. AV bows and arrows are just plain stupid IMO. If they can survive hits from a FORGE GUN a bow will do **** all. And even if they weren't over powered they still don't fit into the lore of the EVE universe.

I did not join Internet spaceships warfare and supersoldier immortal killers on a dynamic battlefield with superweapons and orbital strikes to enjoy the awesome power of a weapon that was considered overpowered in the freaking dark ages.

I don't even understand why the hell crossbows show up in MODERN warfare games.

At no point is a crossbow even marginally better than a sniper rifle of any kind.
