I rather have a statue in a courtyard of a building or something. |

Why?
Does grandma jones get a piece in the newspaper and a statue in her honour when she dies? No... But i bet you when your presidents pop their clogs that you make the effort for them. |

I dont think a suit of armor would be fitting though, the guy was after all a diplomat first.

Considering the work he did both IN and out of EVE, yes it is. Go **** up another thread if you want to be a ****. Calm down, I know what it feels like to lose someone close to you but he has a point, there's no logical reason to honor one without honoring all. That would make you feel better but for all other friends of deceased Eve players it would become an outrage of a jita-burning proportion. At that point no one would truly be happy and honestly tell me you're so self centered that you'll ignore others to make yourself feel better. How many of those other players did as much for EVE as VR did though? He helped forge the game into what it is today. I very, very much doubt even 1% of those other players have any impact on EVE in any significant way, let alone the level of impact VR had, he was also on the CSM and got to know the DEV's etc personally, no matter how you look at it, nobody did as much for the game as he did and died in the way he did or did as much for your country as he did. That's the why something should be done, his EVE work, his real live work and the impact he had on New Eden.
Technically their have been thousands of people who have died and done more for their country. Maybe not for Eve, but for their country. I can see them doing something in Eve for him, and that would make sense for his role in Eve. That shouldn't carry over to Dust, and what he did for his country shouldn't play a part in that. Seeing has he died for his country, while respectable and worthy of rememberance, so have hundreds of thousands of other soldiers, and they all have a day for remembering them already.
