What it comes down to is there are losses all around the world either military or not. Even if this game was US only (which it's not) then you would still have a hard case trying to idolize this death in particular. It all comes down to relevance and perceived importance, and after a week no one will really remember this goonie who died save for the ones who knew him, or saw this article. The reason we have monuments is because it was a game related epic achievement, not because someone died (out of millions) and enough people moaned and pleaded to have him idolized in their favorite game.

/hard truth: get over it

CCP could easily and quickly implement a statue in his honor, one that perhaps also honors all the pod pilots and soon to be drop soldiers that have passed on. It would be easier to implement than drop suits. But the drop suits are a really good idea. Not to be off topic but it has already done so once, and rather early on page 2, it has since then been removed. I think a statue and plaza tile building would be more appropriate.
