Is it possible to only restrict certain items from being traded if below Loyalty Rank 4 instead of all trades?
For example: Let's say the exploit it stop Officer Items, Warbarge Components, and BPOs from being traded from new accounts for the purposes of gaming the system.
Just make it so that those items cannot be traded, instead of trading not being allowed at all.
This can be done 2 ways:
1) If you trade one item / quantity at a time, just grey out that Trade option for those items.
2) If you can trade multiple items per single trade action, just filter the list of items the player can choose from to restrict items you wish to prevent. |

1 Aurum awards 1/2 a point
So if you win say you play 2 hours a day. Say you have the Scotty we know and love. Queres take 1 min on average, maybe 2.
So matches are 22 mins long on average for a Skirm or Dom. You play 6 matches a day.
Around 12 points daily from battles if not more, 20 daily. 100 days to get 2000 points. Pretty long grind I believe. Again, these are my numbers, so don't believe them too much... 07

Your numbers are pretty high on the win side. If you play 6 matches a day every day, you should expect 3 wins, so 9 points + 1 from log in = 10 a day. So if you can play every single day for 2 hours (or make up for it on weekends), that's actually 200 days to make 2000 points.
How many points total is Level 4? I can't find it listed anywhere
But basically if you don't pay you had better be a Beta player to have gotten level 4 unlocked, or play 40+ hours a week.
It's way too high a limit and is an obvious cash grab, nothing to do with preventing abuse. Requiring 1 rank would do just fine for stopping all the abuses, since even that requires either a lot of time or serious play. |

My loyalty rank is 2/3 of the way to 13.
As to Rank, age of character has no relationship to rank as far as I know, its based on time spent playing the game, WP earned during that time, number of kills and yes how much money you've spent in the game.
The last time I checked, which you can if you send a support ticket asking for the details, my total game play is close to 1600 hrs since the move to TQ. I've passively boosted throughout most of that time so I've spent a far bit of Aur. But then I've rarely had as much fun or pleasure playing a game than I have with Dust.

Happy, but dissapointed at the same time. My loyalty rank is 5, so Im happy about this, but all of my friends, who started the game like two years after me, what about them? I was really looking forward to trade things with them, giving them the suits I didnt use and receiving those they didnt use.
Besides, as many other said already, its not that easy to "level up" with this loyalty thing. When the loyalty ranks were introduced, I was a 5 (sergeant mayor). Now? Still 5, not even that close to the half to get level 6, I still need 20246 points.

I can say for sure that alts on the same account do not all add towards the same loyalty rank. Aur purchases may add to all of them at once, but the log ins, and matches played/won apply to individual characters, I checked mine as I only run 1 PSN account.
However even if you could, it's still limited 'farming' since you can only use 2 alts to support your main, so that's hardly a significant impact. Though I guess repeated cycling of the alt for it's boosters could be abused if boosters are tradable. Maybe making boosters non tradable is worth it. Or make them only gifted to the first character created on an account, not every alt. |

Really? I've logged in on 2 alts, clicked on 'Loyalty Rank' and it's shown the same as my main? Granted, I buy Aur. Whilst the impact may not be huge, it's 3 times as many components and experimental weapons, if these are tradeable, boosters aside.

However I noticed at the bottom of the devblog it said that player trading will only be allowed between those at loyalty rank 4 and above.
I am at rank 4 (2-3yrs old DUST main character) and have spent $3-$4 on DUST514. (hope that helps players not lose ALL hope)
I do however believe that players at rank 2 or 3 and above should be allowed to trade anything.
If many players are not rank 4 currently, perhaps the rank system has an error in it due to human programming error. (maybe CCP accidentally added an extra 0 to the total amount of points needed for rank 4?) |
