It's to easy to kill a person if you spot them cloaked now. It takes to long to pull your gun out to defend you self & it's not fair to anybody that likes to cloak. I think the time needs to be cut in half so you have more time to defend your self. I think I speak for all scouts that like to cloak please change that so CPP. |

Last I checked we use them in combat so, yeah they are combat cloaks. Cloak delay was only added because everyone has been beating around the bush because the issue is the shotgun. Funny how all the other weapons took the delay hit yet the shotgun can still get two salvos off before the suit comes out of cloak. Go be irrelevant somewhere else IWS.

I actually like it. It does mean that the Cloak is not just a free lunch anymore. Before you were nigh-invisible and could fight just as fast as anyone else. I haven't found it to be too detrimental when I am playing Scout, though I do use the Assault Rail Rifle and have a tendency to fight at range.

Umm.. I typically only use my cloak for long-distance running between objectives. If you're being spotted too many times, it means that you aren't taking a Scout approach to your play style and are also relying on the cloak too much for assaulting purposes.
If you're cloaked and being shot at, disengage and run for it. Don't even attempt to fight back unless you can secure the kill with one-hit from either a knife or shotgun. Attack from the flanks or from behind, and do so when your enemies have their attention on someone else.
Nova knives become a hassle to use with a cloak, so I make sure to use my suit's inherent speed and low scan profile bonuses to traverse ground away from direct combat: always taking the paths that are unoccupied. |

I think that if they are going to keep the delay, they need to make the cloak truly invisible so you can't be seen while running or anything else.
I do think it is BS that we can still be spotted while cloaked, and have to wait several seconds before we can retaliate, all the while at a significant HP disadvantage.
I also stopped running cloak. Its just not worth it anymore.

Allows you to come out of cloak at your opponent flank to charged Nova Knife slash.
Its a move you have to do in one fluid motion then recloaking and running of cause the heavy immediately realized his Logis
been ganked.
But, usually best to use when hunting snipers/open terrian and if you like the sound reduction (my favorite)
Sudes nothing cooler then coming out of cloak, slowly pulling out your TY-5, headshoting a guy, then walk away badassly
while cloaking up.
Not a combat cloak, but can be for targets who've wondered of or that guy trailing behind the pack.
I run cloak in PC and to test if its really useful for X fitting. Relying on it will get you consistently ganked.
Wish i could play, PS3 acting up this is not cool! So actually completing other games story.

Decloak delay is a pain, but it (1) prevents fire from cloak, (2) encourages planning in advance and (3) discourages use in hamfisted frontal assault and (4) penalizes gettng caught in the open. These are all good things.
