I think that if they are going to keep the delay, they need to make the cloak truly invisible so you can't be seen while running or anything else.
I do think it is BS that we can still be spotted while cloaked, and have to wait several seconds before we can retaliate, all the while at a significant HP disadvantage.
I also stopped running cloak. Its just not worth it anymore.

That is a lot of talk for someone that I haven't heard of before under this name.
Perhaps you have a better known moniker?

Decloak delay is a pain, but it (1) prevents fire from cloak, (2) encourages planning in advance and (3) discourages use in hamfisted frontal assault and (4) penalizes gettng caught in the open. These are all good things. The delay mechanics could be improved upon, as could other aspects of cloak (namely shimmer, uselessness in dark moods, etc), but the delay should remain. Disagree with 4.
When you are redlined, and the reds know where you are coming from, and all you want to do is get past the front lines and do something/anything. Its quite frustrating to be actually making an effort with so many things working against you.
The whole point of the cloak as it is now is to cross open spaces. If it can't even do that, its worthless.

Larkson Crazy Eye wrote:Not sure if this been brought up already but the new FoTM for cloaking seems to be punching people in the face. the Melee attack breaks you cloak but far as I can tell it does not have the delay readying a weapon would. So people run the jumpy scout fit and end up punching for 700+ dmg. Pretty much the same dmg of a lot of shot guns or the weaker knives. Yes, but so many mercs out there, especially now that they have all those slots, can HP tank to no end, and that same scout, will likely not have much HP itself, because they are using their resources for the Melee.
Plus, melee has basically 0 range, and if you have any precision at all, whether Medium or Light framed, you will pick them up on tacnet before they hit you. It is a VERY niche style, and has lots of easy counters.
This can only be done on a Minmatar Scout, and even if they stack Complex Dampeners AND wear a Pro Cloak for the dampening, just wearing 2 precision enhancers will mean that even cloaked they will show up on your inner tacnet ring. And then you can just jump, turn mid air, and kill the 200 HP crazy person.
It really isn't the monster that you are making it out to be. If it is, or stays FotM, I will be VERY surprised.

Any double entendre is unintended I assure you.
