CCP didn't lie to you by showing concepts for Amarr and Minmatar vehicles. They showed you a roadmap, and that roadmap didn't happen. You decided it was a promise, but it never was. There was never any assurance that was made that specific things would be delivered within a specific timeframe.
So what exactly are you expecting CCP to be accountable to? For saying sh*t will happen and never following through with it. Mistakes can be made and changed. But way before Dust was even released i was thinking "well from all i'm reading we are not even getting half the things that were on the road map during beta." And then the EP kept promising more and more. Yet half the things CCP was boasting and trying to get never even made it into the full game.
Then what is the purpose of a road map if it's not being followed through with. Why should i think this road map is any better than the old one. How do i know they will follow through here when they did not with the old one.
You say all this sh*t you want to do then do nothing. The EP is doing this under the charge of CCP. Why should i have faith in CCP when they let people do whatever they want with no check and balances when there EP says things should be done but it is not.
I'm saying i remember the old EP and i remember the thing him and CCP said they are wanting to do. I don't feel like i should have faith in CCP right off the bat just because they say "New EP"

So what do you expect them to do about it, Viktor? Or is this whole tirade you saying you're bitter, intend to keep being bitter, and will continue reminding people of it on a regular basis? Are you saying CCP should give up trying to make you happy, because you'll hold every past mistake from former employees over them in perpetuity?
I mean, there's like nothing to work with in your post here.

Soraya Xel wrote:Also, actually, nobody at CCP ever said "I promise", "we promise", or the word "promise" either. So in addition to your poor expectations that the new EP should be forced to follow the old EP's path to run the game into the ground, you've decided that a tentative plan, which did not to fruition, now amounts to a "promise".
The phrase used at fanfest by laurino at his keynote which was 2012 I think as I recall regarding pve, drones, vehicles, frames and weapons was '... And it's all coming in 2013.' This sounds like a promise to me , and is therefore the mistake mentioned.
I really hope dust 2.0 in Feb isn't just some fluff squeezed into existing mechanics. I know we have the roadmap and Ratatis statements about it but people we be very disappointed if warbarges are simply an isk sink and there isn't some extra gameplay about them. For example will we see them on the map, will we have to move them about to avoid being attacked ourselves? Or will it just be a screen that says 'well done you bought a warbarge...'.
Again simple trading does not mean a market it more than likely means you will be able to pass thing around players hopefully not restricted to your own characters.
Anyone getting annoyed by reading of the above post should consider the following.

I'm going to play the Robot Devil's Advocate here for a moment on behalf of Viktor.
Technically Viktor does have a point that CCP needs to be held accountable for its lack of maintaining its promises. Even if the promise was a very loose promise like "we hope to implement [insert feature here] by this time" or "we hope to fix [insert broken mechanic here] by this time" or whatever. A promise is a promise.
What I think Viktor is simply asking for here is not to force CCP to keep those old promises but to at least have CCP finally admit to the mistake of never being able to deliver. Remember the 750,000 SP screwup that CCP Rattati did not too long ago? He managed to get off Scott Free by the community because he admitted to his **** ups. He has the balls to come forward and say "Oops! I done goofed! Sorry, I won't let this happen again." But he didn't even stop there. Rattati even went as far as making amends with the players who felt slighted by at least trying to keep to his word saying "Ok, we'll let you have the 750,000 SP Cap for 30 days and see how it goes from there."
So far, we still have 750,000 SP weekly cap even when we are way past the 30 day mark. I guess it hasn't caused problems so far.

Not likely.
If there are going to be fees imposed, those fees will likely be that of Eve Online's broker fees and sales taxes which take off only a small percentage of the value of the sale.
It will be absolutely stupid for CCP to require AUR payment just to sell a junk item. I don't see that ever happening.

Actually, this is already happening in Eve Online with the Trade Window. Of course, new players in Eve already know what they're getting themselves into when they join. New players for Dust on the other hand might not know about this.

You don't need Jara Kumora to sell anything. She's just there to boost the sell back. Also, I can grind Daily Missions for those keys without having to pay AUR in any way. Of course, this means I have 200+ boxes and only earned 6 free keys.

The trade window in Eve lists the items being traded very clearly and requires both parties to hit accept.
Soraya's post at least seems to imply it will merely be the ability to send items at the promise of sending ISK later or vice versa. I do not think we have gotten one single COMPLETED and WELL FUNCTIONING mechanic in this game so why would trading be any different.
Bonus points and possibly even ISK if you can name anything that is as stated above one single COMPLETED and WELL FUNCTIONING mechanic. Before you say it, inertia dampeners and "give money" do not count. |

As far as Jara goes you are correct getting more isk is not required but neither is trading anything higher than militia gear.
I have seen 2 missions for keys that require no AUR while I have seen like 8 missions that require AUR in some form.

My point here is that I don't need to spend AUR for those. It's a hell of a grind, sure, but my point is clear.

He may have been wrong, but there's a far stretch between an announcement and a 'promise'. Plans change, and unless someone made a blood pact or a contract with you, or at least said "let's pinky swear on it", no, you weren't promised crud.

There should be some new gameplay for sure, but bear in mind that this is an iterative project. It's a big project for a pretty small dev team. Not everything will exist in February, but hopefully over the cycle of patches in the new release, it will end up a robust system.
