This would be pretty fitting. Something else to screw over newbs is exactly what this game needs.
Likely to be yet another CCP band aid on a bullet wound. Maybe this one will have little blue duckies on it.

Let us know if you have info. I'll bet that it will require Aurum to use. Calling it right here. Will bring this post back up in February when this happens. Not likely. If there are going to be fees imposed, those fees will likely be that of Eve Online's broker fees and sales taxes which take off only a small percentage of the value of the sale. It will be absolutely stupid for CCP to require AUR payment just to sell a junk item. I don't see that ever happening.
LOL.
Jara the market agent?
How about AUR to open 1 of 1 million boxes in your inventory that will likely result in dressed up starter fits? |

Maybe this one will have little blue duckies on it. Actually, this is already happening in Eve Online with the Trade Window. Of course, new players in Eve already know what they're getting themselves into when they join. New players for Dust on the other hand might not know about this.
The trade window in Eve lists the items being traded very clearly and requires both parties to hit accept.
Soraya's post at least seems to imply it will merely be the ability to send items at the promise of sending ISK later or vice versa. I do not think we have gotten one single COMPLETED and WELL FUNCTIONING mechanic in this game so why would trading be any different.
Bonus points and possibly even ISK if you can name anything that is as stated above one single COMPLETED and WELL FUNCTIONING mechanic. Before you say it, inertia dampeners and "give money" do not count. |

How about AUR to open 1 of 1 million boxes in your inventory that will likely result in dressed up starter fits? You don't need Jara Kumora to sell anything. She's just there to boost the sell back. Also, I can grind Daily Missions for those keys without having to pay AUR in any way. Of course, this means I have 200+ boxes and only earned 6 free keys.
As far as Jara goes you are correct getting more isk is not required but neither is trading anything higher than militia gear.
I have seen 2 missions for keys that require no AUR while I have seen like 8 missions that require AUR in some form.

I see what you mean.
Also, as to your bonus points and ISK offer... Nova Knives.
Well, I have never used Nova Knives but I do not see much bitching about them so I suppose I can accept that.
One question tho: Do Nova Knives fall victim to the glitch where if you are hacking and turn you can not use said weapon? |

I have not had that problem so far and I have been knifing and hacking for 2 years. If they did, it was fixed without me realizing it.
That glitch could be limited to the HMG as I have not had that issue in any other suit.
Bonus points achieved.
I will try to hop online here in a bit and drop you 5 million ISK. If not tonight I will have it to you by tomorrow.

Even if the promise was a very loose promise like "we hope to implement [insert feature here] by this time" or "we hope to fix [insert broken mechanic here] by this time" or whatever. A promise is a promise. "We hope" is now a promise? o_o Wut? So when you look at the current roadmap, if something gets bumped a patch or doesn't happen, we're going to get this whole "but CCP promised me!" thing? That's the sort of attitude that makes CCP hesitant to share their plans. Please do not make my job of getting them to communicate stuff harder by being completely and totally unreasonable.
I can not speak for the others involved but I know the promises I see broken are specifically the "10 year road map" and "laser focused on the PS3". These are things that CCP repeated countless times and then threw them out the window in the blink of an eye. These actions permanently hurt my thinking on anything CCP has to say in the future and while it is not required in any way a simple apology and some actual explanation in to their thought process on these actions would certainly make me more likely to care about this game.
It is to a point where I have moved most of my gaming time to Eve and love it but thanks to their past actions I still refuse to pre pay for more than a month or two at a time. Having a game good enough that I would prepay for a 1 year subscription but a company that does not garner the same trust is not good by any stretch of the imagination. |

So in addition to your poor expectations that the new EP should be forced to follow the old EP's path to run the game into the ground, you've decided that a tentative plan, which did not to fruition, now amounts to a "promise". Was only following in your footsteps when you also claimed that the 2013 fanfest made promises. Soraya Xel wrote:I would highlight two things here:
1. Last Fanfest was a train wreck. (Personal opinion.) The Fanfest before it was a bunch of promises that never happened. (Definite fact.) I, for one, am glad we are not going for round three on this trend.
2. Generally, if you want to get a bunch of big reveals for Fanfest, you have to hold some information back for a bit to get a big announcement together. I, also for one, would rather CCP just tell us what's up. Something the CPM has been actively encouraging. https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=2483144#post2483144But you know whatever try to bash others for claims you made two months ago even going as far as stating that promises were made and it was a "Definite fact". easy to flip back and forth on a topic when it's most beneficial to you. lolCPM
This must be one of the new lava maps because that was quite the burn. |
