The arrow from the circle is succesfully expired, but there is still the inverted arrow type, which may not appear as often but it still makes you perfectly know where the red dot is watching.

I would lower dampeners to -20% or buff enhancers to -25%.
Also I would buff scan range by 5 to 10 meters for all suits.
I would reduce assault suit precision or dampening -5 db. Preferably precision as scouts are the dampeners.
EWAR is way more balanced but the game still favors dampening over scanning.

Fantastic Job here guys, we really appreciate the effort.
However i'm very disappointed as in this release there are still not fixes or improvements for the Dropship vehicles (you already know what the problems are, there been lots of closed threads about them) and i was really hoping for them to come in the last two upgrades.
You keep ignoring feedback from those players that are getting really frustrated with the Dropship's game experience.
You even made it even weaker reducing the fire rate/ modules recharging time etcc.
Me as many other players have invested 12 months of gameplay and more than 20 Millions SP to be able to flight, and nothing it's been done so fare to improve it (apart from the small shield buffer that doesn't make much difference)
Now, If i want to recover all the unuseful SP that i've invested into the dropship / pilot role i also need to pay real money for a respec.
You Keep adding features to the game without fixing what it's not working first.
Shame.

It's honestly something that i expect to be at the top of the fix list for every patch but it never is - was hoping that since this is the first update since the new maps released it might make it into 1.10.
What are the technical issues standing in the way of fixing this immersion-breaking and frustrating problem that truly sullies the player experience? My belief is that when new players who are giving DUST a try encounter problems like this it magnifies any other smaller issues they might have with the game and pushes them towards ultimately rejecting DUST.

Daily rewards are a good addition, i suspect DUST will see more hours logged.
Would be tempted to bonus wins over WP a bit more in the payout structure, just enough to educate/remind new & vet mercs what they're getting paid for.

Also, this is THE most annoying bug, from first death all I see is constant OB messages all the way through the game, even though none have been earned. Once, when my squad finally had 4K WP, I opened menu to find all were red and could not be selected.

I find the automatic deployment of inertial dampeners a bad idea. Sometimes I don't want them to activate, and sometimes I want to activate them at a later time.
Would it be possible to change them to allow you to activate them(not auto activate) if the fall height is anything over 10m? |

Also, the next time you're tinkering with the cloak could you set it to have 2 different equipment switch speeds - one for an active cloak and one for an inactive cloak?

I must politely rage for a short while. I think the Mb relay is a decent idea however there are some changes that need to be made. Logistics suits need a higher Mb relay than say... every other suit in the game(including heavies). I'm sure you didn't mean to do this. I really hope you didn't.
Every droplink is a 4 Mb relay. No matter how certed you are you get 2. The only bonus for those extra levels is the spawn count? That is horrible. No variance in the uplinks is just terrible. A scout or assault or even a commando can place as much equipment as a prototype logistics. I'll be surprised if I'm alone in thinking that is a terrible oversight.
I'm also not sure how I feel about the explosives being 2 Mb. I think 0.75 or 1 would be better. I'm not sure what nanohives were running but if you've been that far off with everything else they should probably take a lookesy.
Before I always enjoyed equipment because it wasn't hard to throw out a few uplinks and set up a tank/jeep trap. I really wouldn't have done the Mb system because it severely limits a players ability to be creative in the fight and set up solid staging areas.
You put the "max active" modifier on all this equipment for a reason!
I have uplinks at 4, its about the perfect level. Now a militia drop uplink and a drop uplink is pretty much just as effective as any other of the 6 more expensive models that I have access to. This saddens me tremendously.
I really hope you've fully considered how very badly you've hamstringed that system.
Also would it be too hard to set up dim yellow flash around your armor bar when you're getting repaired? That would help out heavies to no end. |

Echoing what others have said, the Inertial Dampener change was unnecessary, and stamps out some emergent gameplay.
What if I want to drop fast and immediately start shooting? What if I'm a scout and don't want to notify everyone around me as to where I am?
Hitting X is not a hard skill to learn, and taking away the option to press it removes a feature from the game, rather than improving it.
Playing for Gallente is like killing kittens. There's no honor in it.

First and foremost, I may have to point out the following in case some people don't know me or may have already forgotten what my specialty is in this game.
Introduction
Hello,
I'm a dedicated nova knifer since the days of old who enjoying wearing that duct tape of a suit called the Minmatar scout. You know, the suit that has a Nintendo Wii strapped to the chest and somehow relies heavily on a pair of Caldari knives. I am what you would call "that scout who has been a scout when scouts were strictly hard-mode only".
Now for my critique.
First off, I'm finally glad that the cloak has been balanced. As you as you deactivate the cloak or swap to something else, you instantly decloak while still having to deal with the firing delay. No more being able to shotgun me while still in cloak. Of course, this affects me as a knifer as well as I now have to be careful on when to decloak before I attack with my Ishukone nova knives. I have been doing just fine without the cloak, but in light of recent changes to EWAR mechanics especially with the strong precision that every suit now has at close range (remember Rattati's concentric circles?) I'm now finding myself in a situation where I have no choice but to utilize the cloak far more often than usual. Especially since the Minmatar scout is not really EWAR-centric at all outside of just hacking fast. I also find myself have to fit a complex dampener on top of that for good measure. I lose my 11.11m/s sprint speed I always enjoyed but I have adapted to do just fine with 10m/s.
Second, I am enjoying the new daily missions. In just a span of a few hours, I was able to complete all 10 of the daily missions. Some of which I managed to achieve in just one match. I have yet to encounter the infamous 12,000 SP prerequisite but I'll be ready for it with my 1-Day Active Omega Booster, which is what I have earned as a reward for completing all 10 daily missions today. I guess I got lucky.

I must say that earning an Omega Booster was not what I expected as part of the rewards. Thank you, CCP.
Third, I was kind of irked by the automatic inertia dampening. Although from what I see it seems to engage automatically when I reach a certain speed while falling and when I'm at a certain height above the ground while at said speed. I guess this is a safety measure for situations in which some players reported they were unable to engage inertia dampening while falling, correct? Unfortunately, this has created the unintended side effect of no longer being able to kill an AFK player who is spinning around in the MCC by nudging them slowly to the hole in the floor. Of course, this is no problem in faction warfare since all you have to do is shoot them in the face and not worry about being punished because they are not there to press the PUNISH button when they die. XD
Fourth, the strong boxes have added a level of mystique to the game but I seem to be having a slight difficulty in salvaging encryption keys to break them open. I have player a few faction warfare matches where I earned a crap-ton of salvage but no key in sight. I have also played a bunch of pub matches to finish the daily missions but I have yet to get much salvage there at all let alone an encryption key. I don't want to spend AUR for a key so I'll keep on grinding FW until I find one. Wish me luck.
Fifth, I was surprised to see that the minor flux strikes were not as annoying as I predicted them to be despite them being very easy to earn. They seem to be just right in both bombardment duration and blast radius. I was expecting to experience frame rate issues with these being so common but so far that hasn't happened to me.
Sixth, I am sexy.
Seventh, that new SALVAGE section in the assets window is neat to have. Unfortunately it's not much useful since it only displays the strong boxes I earned. None of the other salvage I get like suits, weapons, and modules appear within this section. I still have to browse through every other section and subsection to find the salvage and then sell them from there. It would be most convenient if we were at least able to see all of the day's salvage posted in that section for easy selling.

As a cal logi I need my >30 mb/s not 9 mb/s. I can throw only 2 ishu hives at once. (not enough WP for dailymission SP) I almost completed daily missions... 7/10 I didn't manage to gain 8.999,9.999 and 14.999 SP in one battle If I have had any boosters it could be done... (7.999 SP in one battle = cleared) I like these new missions.

As I usually wear Militia suits I can confirm everything still kills me equally as quickly as before.
I too dislike the auto activating inertia dampeners.
and I three think that, although it's a minor thing, the new daily missions button is really out ok keeping with the rest of the UI in the quarters.
Looking forwards to having a good play over the weekend though, so thanks again everybody for all the work so far. |

In Eve missions were optional .You go to a Agent accept or decline the mission. These missions are mandatory more like a trophy than a mission. Agent Mission fight for Cal FW for one week 3 battles a day = x amount of LP and Isk .Fight for opposing side during this time X amount of Isk /LP or how about this one skill level drop Or Faction Embargo of certain equipment. It looks mechanically different in 1.10 than it did in 1.9. Let me elaborate in simple steps.
1.9
1. Equip cloaking retina (that display you see on your left wrist). 2. Cloak by hitting the trigger. 3. Decloak by either hitting the trigger again or swap to a weapon. 4. Still cloaked but hands are slowly receding. 5. Weapon appears and you are finally visible and ready to fire.
1.10
1. Same as above. 2. Same as above. 3. Same as above. 4. You are instantly decloaked and fully visible. 5. Hand slowly receding. 6. Weapon appears and you are ready to fire.
The difference is major. In 1.9 all you had to do to compensate for the decloak delay is hit the decloak trigger ahead of time so by the time you get your target you are ready to kill by the time you are visible. This is no longer the case in 1.10 since now you have to decloak somewhere further away otherwise you are vulnerable for about a second which is enough time to get yourself killed if you're in a scout suit. This forces cloakers to actually think strategically this time. The days when shotgun cloaky scouts would kill you by the time they are done decloaking are finally gone. Good riddance. Those people gave cloaking a bad name.
But as I said before in my previous post, I'm finding myself having to rely on the cloak more often as a Minmatar scout as a result of the recent overhaul of the EWAR mechanics.

I'm sorry, but the "Private", "Major", Sargent" stuff seems so backwater and CoD corny, for a game that has impressed me so far for having cool "innovative, even if it kills us" stones between its legs. (... I can say "stones", right?)
To shorten the text line (and tone down the earth-combat reference), may I suggest just an "R-04" for 4th Rank, and "R-09" for 9th, etc.?
Those players interested in the competitiveness that "killed by higher rank number" represents should be happy....
And those players who don't care much about "your rank" and only care about your name should be happy too...

The daily mission variety is lacking, keys are way too rare and should also come up as salvage from regular battles, and too many boxes are given as rewards.
I would really like it if 1 key was the default reward for completing 5 missions.

I don't like the equipment bandwidth. I usually spam uplinks in pub matches because i am not sure if anyone else is capable or willing to put links out. So if I do put links out I will just sit in the red line now because if I switch to my heavy to help the team my links disappear. this equipment bandwidth just gives the proto sqauds more of an advantage because they can redline the weaker team I have been on both sides of it and I feel bad for the side that's getting stomped. I run by myself some times because I don't have time to find a sqaud. I understand why you put the equipment bandwidth in the game it's to prevent some lag. Maybe if CCP would play the game with us they would understand how to balance the game better. I feel like I have been ripped off I put money in this game and I can't use all the stuff I am skilled in without getting penalized. |

Some new feedback from me regarding Daily Missions and Strongboxes.
Daily Missions
I don't think it's a good idea to have Daily Missions include tasks involving AUR spending. For example I saw a Daily Mission that would reward me with a new Passive or Active Booster if I used the EOM Instant Boost feature 3 or 4 times. That's not exactly the kind of thing I wanted to see in Dust. CCP, it kind of feels like your pressuring us to spend AUR since the only way to get the reward is to actually spend money. I know there is a way to get a booster for free as part of completing all 10 Daily Missions, but that is not very common to see from what I can tell. Of course, it's only been 3 days since Daily Missions were introduced so I'll wait another week or two to see how common the free ones are compared to the AUR equivalent missions. Overall, the Daily Missions could do without the constant AUR reminders.
Strongboxes and Keys
During these past 3 days of running Skirmish, Ambush, and Domination, I have acquired over 30 units of these Strongboxes. But so far I have not managed to salvage a single Hacked Encryption Key. I know you can get it as part of a Daily Mission and as salvage from a match, but those seem so rare that I think I will find Jesus on a piece of toast by the time I get a Hacked Encryption Key. In the meantime, I'm seeing the market constantly telling me that I can buy 10 of these keys with AUR in a bundle and I find that annoying. This is making me feel as if I am being pressured into spending AUR even more. CCP, those advertisements need to be toned down at the very least. I'm also not in the mood to spend anymore AUR re-rolling leftover Daily Missions just to get a mission that might reward me with a key.

I theorize maybe it has to do with w/e VoIP setup is used for chats, could that be the issue? Yes, the daily missions are nice on that they add rewards, silly in that they really don't add a whole lot in additional gameplay content and outright disingenuous in trying to stimulate AUR sales. Yes, the same disingeniuity seems to have driven strongbox design. Yes, the Cocentric Circles thing seems to be working pretty well. I don't know that it warrants the Range Amp nerf but, tbh, I'd prefer to playtest more before finalizing a verdict. Yes, I Thank You, Rattati and Team, for continuing to at least try. o7

I have about 56 Strongboxes. Today's Daily Missions will reward me with only 1 Hacked Encryption Key if I complete 8 of the 10 missions. This is after 3 days of constant playing in pub matches.
I just keep getting more and more Strongboxes as salvage but I never get a single key as salvage. I'm sure you can get a key as salvage but that's like trying to look the Leprechaun's pot of gold.
I think I have enough to fill an Orca.

(db of 30) now my ewar caldari proto scout with 2 complex precisions and 2 complex range amps. here are my stats short range - 12db at 12 meters medium range - 20 db at 23 to 25 meters long range - 31 db at 49 meters. so I can not put up an assault suit until he is within 24 meters? less if he comes up from my back, it would be about 15 meters then lol. what good is that? I am dead even with 2 complex shields my max ehp is 395.

Agreed on both points above. Perhaps abbreviations might help to alleviate the clutter, as in: Lieutenant Eristric ---> Lt. Eristic
And expanding minor flux strike radii just a tad would likely help more than it'd hurt. |

how so? by making ewar scouts pointless. besides all of my ewar scouts have less than 400 ehp at the max (most have 300ehp). most assault have 600-800 ehp. oh plus being back slayer logis. throw equipment and crap can not change to my assault so slayer logi it is. put it this way a sentinel with 4 complex precision can pick my ewar caldari scout at medium range?! so logis can have longer range and as almost as strong ewar scans plus higher ehp. plus just about any other suit can pick me up at short - medium range with 1-2 complex precisions with 3 complex they can pick up my 2 complex damps gall or cald scout at short - medium range. what the freak?! so why the heck would anyone run ewar scouts now? so yup only real option left, brick scouts it is then lol. |

Crap I just posted this in the wrong thread, so here I go again:
Missions are great fun for me. Just logging in, doing some missions, dropping out. Its the casual way. Because I couldnt invest more time than 1-2 h per day its a great feature, as long as there is a possibility of doing the missions in this time-frame.
The answer to your complaint is PvE. Always.

First off the ewar nerfs must die I really don't care about the whole strongbox air grab but scouts were made decent stat wise since 1.6 however the cloak was op the cloak has been nerfed to a comfortable place except for range nerf if you are so adamant about breaking ewar with nerfs ( the coercic circles are fine though) just change the name of scout to light assault I mean at this point my gal scouts are being forced into brick tank and my min scout doesn't even come close to being classified as a scout change ewar to 1.6 and make armor plates harder to fit and fix the ewar while cloaked so everything remains the same everyone wants scouts to be an easy to see and squishy target we are squishy but at least allow us to hit them first you are killing the preemptive strike capability native to scouts and forcing us into a light assault role
I am scout and the bane of heavys since 1.6

so anyone notice et that a 4 complex damped gall scout with a proto cloak can not hide from an assault with 3 complex precisions at short range but the scout can NOT see the assault on the tacnet? so here again I say this

An assault with 3 precision enhancers sacrifices a bulk of hp and or damage to he able to see you at approximately 8 meters, If you cannot easily kill this assault when you as a scout have the advantage then you have failed, all you need is one enhancer to scan the assault at all ranges. And with a shotgun even if he sees you at 8m by the time he turn a around you should have killed him.
The purpose of the update is to allow all suits to be able to participate in EWAR and that is exactly what is being done, scouts are still superior in EWAR but they must work a little bit harder for it, is that so much of a problem?

I see them stack over 700 armor on the adv and stack over 1000 armor on pro. |

lol really? you think not.... yes the assault can with 2 complex precisions at short range oh btw the logi has even better ewar ability that the assault at a greater range than the scouts. here is why... his db at that range long 35db at 35 meters, medium 27db at 15meters and 13 at 6 meters. a gall & cald scout with 2 complex damps while using a proto cloak db is 14. with 4 damps it is 12. while assault db at short with 3 is 12. he can see me. FYI so can a sentinel with 4 complex precision at short. his db is 12 too. btw proto gall assault with 4 complex plates, 1 complex armor repairer, 2 complex precision, 1 complex dam mod, proto ar, smg, grenade and hives will fit, armor of 938. total ehp 1131. the amarr same set up will have 988 armor and ehp total of 1169. |

It seems like every fitting you suggest to be "better" than a scout is sacrificing a lot just to be able to see you at short range, and basically half their slots for above short range. This looks balanced to me...

Ok, I'm open to replies, personally I think this is the most epic update we've ever had, I think the daily missions really spiced things up. And I don't know what anyone is talking about the logo/scout nerfs. I see plenty of scouts still killing the same amount, and I also see plenty of logis as well so quit your whining.

And that's the beauty of the Minmatar Scouts. They don't rely heavily on EWAR. A skilled Minscout can velocipator your ass before you can react and then you're dead.
Though I wonder how many of such players are out there.

Regardless of what little changes happen with a suit/hull or a gun or a module...
It really in the end of being a bitter vet... Doesn't matter... I Love DUST's content.. DUST's content is amazing.. it is what makes me constantly compare other games too..
Eve and DUST both make me do this.
But for me where DUST has fallen short is simply the feel of the game.. Uprising as a Whole patch as i have been here since day one... and every day after patch launch since... Is the game just doesn't feel as good as it did in beta..
The guns had more character and there was only a few to choose from.
The best explanation of how DUST's feel has changed is explained in this Article done by some FPS enthusiasts.

P.S** Also you guys should grab a couple Turbo controllers... spend maybe 100-150 bux and get 5-6 of them, Well, you guys are in China.. Maybe a bit cheaper ;)... and test the statistics of weapons with what is humanly possible with what a repeating macro can influence and nullify for shooting mechanics.
Along with picking up a http://xim4.com/ And really look at balancing peripherals in DUST 514.. Or just get rid of Keyboard and mouse once and for all.. And accept people are going to be using that hardware paired with DS3 tweaks over raw USB input simply because one out performs the other. |

lol sometimes to stealth hack or hide from a group of reds or flank when no cover is around or crossing open ground. most of my scouts have less than 275 shield & 87 armor. |

I would like to report an error that I have found a week ago, I do not know if it is already fixed but I will point it out anyway.
If you go into the loyalty store for the Imperial Guard and you go to the Dropsuits section, you will find that when you press 'show info' on the Imperial 'Dominus' Sentinel it will say the description for the Minmatar sentinel.

I would have thought that one of the niggling issues of the game and probably alot will agree and the scrublets that do this will complain wah wah wah. So when are you guys going to make it that heavy frames and sentinals can only use heavy weapons and makes the fit null and void if a light weapon is fitted on it? The amount of people over the past few days (coalition latino corp) that run amarr sentinal/heavy frames with an ishukone assault rail rifle is becomming rather annoying, especially when they have 3 logis behind them. Sort it out ccp. |
