Say goodbye to speed-tanked minjas, because atm it's damp or die for Scouts. Seriously, atm I just feel like I don't want to play anymore. I actually ragequitted. I prefer 1.8. There, I said it. Whether you are wanting to run HP, Speed, etc, if you are running a scout you should have to use Dampeners or be seen on the tacnet like every other suit on the battlefield. My problem isn't with active scanners scaning me, it's that the scanners are team-share now. If you don't run damps, everyone knows where you are. They aren't going to just sit there and do nothing about it, and even if they do, their entire team certainly won't. As for dampening and speed? 2 CPX damps, 1 CPX KC, and ISH CLK. Fast, dampened, and ready to stab some mercs. The only thing to fear is the Focused scanner, in that case, come back in 10 seconds.

I think part of the issue is that many of the scouts previously hadn't been actually dampening. I know I would run many pubs in my undampened Quaffe suit without much problem. Only occasionally running into scouts the enough precision to see me. Now those scouts that didn't hardly dampen before are finding themselves in need to do so. I don't have a problem with the precision level of active scans or team sharing, but I think its too much if its spammed relentlessly. 1.9 Where cloaked scouts give way to tanked scouts. Problem solved?

Well I don't wanna run armor or shield mods on my Logi, but if I don't I can't ***** because I die too quickly because of a lack of HP. All because "you don't wanna" do something, it doesn't mean it isn't viable and a legit balancing system. Personally I LOVED playing today. I still had a few scouts get up on me and instagank without me seeing them, but for the most part I was able to at least have a CHANCE before I was whacked, and even killed a couple back. Thokk Kill. Yes there are a few things that will need to be adjusted a bit (reduce effectiveness of team scans and move current scanners to squad, for example), but the Minja is still functional. You just can't rely on your innate profile as much anymore, as it should be, imo.

I have max Ewar. I run 1 complex damp in pubs, which has always been enough. 2 Kin cats. I was actively scanned 0 times all day. And I saw 1000 Heavy's if I saw 1. Don't give up OP. You will already be a hacking god. Back when min logis had the hacking bonus, I was just lvl 3 hacking and lvl 5 min logi and I could hack like a boss and the base hacking ability of the min logi suit was much worse than the minja is today.

As a minja, you will have to try and target the Logis and other players running scanning equipment. Team Scans + ISK payouts + BETTER BALANCE than EVER before, are really helping the fights out right now. The only way I can think to properly counter Team Scans as a NON-scout is to kill the scanning players as often as possible. I trust Rattati's judgement in bringing Team Scans back, but we need proper counters. Set your goals high, and shoot for the moon; even if you miss you'll land amongst the stars.

You're only getting scanned if the scanner is pointed at you and honestly you don't even need proto damps to evade most scans. Scanners have a narrow angle that they scan at. If you do your job as a scout and flank properly then you won't need to worry about being tagged for 5 seconds. For you to be tagged by an active scanner means you stood in front of the scanner. If you -do- get tagged, you're only tagged for 5 seconds or so. After that there's a recharge time for the scanner to deal with and then they have to find you again to tag you. If they're running a 4 scanner Gallogi then they've specialised so heavily in scanning that I really do have zero sympathy for any complaints that you should be able to evade them with no effort. You have long since made your choice. What you make now is a mistake.

You could always take a break and let your passive SP do its thing. Play some Ambushes in starter fits. I played this afternoon in my Quaffe suit undampened and didn't have many problems today. You kind of need to learn how to get through these periods, because they are going to happen. Perhaps you just have to change something in your fitting to adapt to this new situation, for example after 1.9 i started to play as a scout again and now i'm running boosters to scan radius and precision, 2 reactive armour plates,1 shield extender,CR, Breach SP,links and RE.try it out works great to me. I may have to start using my CR again. 1.9 Where cloaked scouts give way to tanked scouts. Problem solved?
