Hey guys,
As promised to some of you on twitter, here are some screenshots from the new Market in-game (which is the reason why I did not have the time to get back to the Progression Discussion for quite a while).
What's to know?
As CCP Rouge presented during Fanfest, we want to create a player driven Economy in Legion. No more Secondary Market with NPC selling at a given price whatever quantity you would dream of.
Now people have to loot gear and sell it on this Market.
Basic functionalities will be:
- Sort
- Search per name, or category
- Create a Sell Order
- Purchase a Sell Order
This feature will come with a set of sorting/filtering options:
- Price
- Name
- Metalevel
- Quantity
- Rarity
- Duration
I can answer some questions on functionality and future development of this feature, but remember, it is only a 1st iteration ;)

So this is what you guys have been busy working on ;D
My initial reaction when I saw this was "Woah, look at all the pretty colors!"
Seriously, in the current Dust market it's very blue...and more blue
I know that a lot of other players really like the idea of a player-market, but it's one of the things that has kept me away from playing EVE. FPS players want to spend more time shooting people in the face than managing their assets in a market hub. I really hope that even though we won't be able to buy thousands of weapons from a NPC market, there will still be a simplistic way to restock items (like you currently can on the fitting screen) without having to go into the market to buy and sell.
That said, this is great stuff and I seriously can't wait to see more of it in the future.

Can't even articulate a wall of text. Such a vast improvement on anything we have... and, truthfully, even better displayed than EVE.
Keep it up and we'll make EVE jealous!

Quick answers:
- Of course the weapons were just put there for the purpose of the screenshot
- We want to make it even easier to restock your fittings, so no back and forth between fitting and Market
- Regarding the skill missing: imagine now clicking on it and it opens up your skill tree so you know what to upgrade to get it

Awesome.
So I take it that along the top we have Mail, Progression, Map, Market, Dropsuit Fittings, Vehicle Fittings, Settings, SP, ISK and AUR.
chat windows along the bottom as in Eve is nice. I take it that the chat windows can be moved and pinned to be visible in combat too? That would be very helpful.
Scan for the salvage?
I'd be very interested in how the transition between menus is handled and if information between them is highlighted and linked.

The design is very nice!
I am also curious if there will be any subtly moving parts in the background as well, just like in the station dock.

Neat! This has been one of the big things that was missing to me. That and AV that works (WP for damage is a huge improvement!).
I realize that this is a first pass. I think it can filter by item. Is it just a drop-down? That's kinda cool.
Ending soon? Is it eBay? I realize that sell orders typically have an expiration date, is the default going to be long? Or is the Dust market going to default to something short like a few days?
Overall, first pass looks awesome!
So, are we going to be boarding ships next?

sure you could buy everything the simple way... blindy buying from the "lowest" seller. theres an option for that. problem for you is you dont know if the seller is marking up his prices. 10k isk for a rail rifle from a guy in some station, in a solar system, in a particular region sounds great. but theres a guy in a different station in another region selling the same item for 100 isk.
people get ripped off every day in eve. |

I was about to make a big angry rant on how the comms had stopped and then ccp Z did this. Well god dam legion might be worth investing in.
Btw by sell orders, does that mean if ones inclined we could snap up all items of a type of rifle and then relist them?
and or go im buying 100 rare sniper rifles at 1isk and wait for the order to complete?

Will a compare feature be coming? will the weapon show how your skills effect it? Those 2 questions were the biggest thing missing from 514. The ability to quickly see how your skills effect an item and how it compares to what you have equipped on a suit. I should not have to buy it to have to compare it.

I do have a question regarding buy and sell orders. Are those being physically delivered by Eve bros or assembled at our location in space? I see a timer widget next to some of those ISK figures.

I'm Captain Crutches and I approve this message.
Loving the mockup, it really looks great and much more functional than the current Dust market. I especially like the location display in the top left - as much as you guys (understandably) don't want Legion to be Eve, the added immersion from having at least some things like that be similar or identical is really great IMO. We want to feel like we're part of New Eden, both in terms of gameplay and interface... but that doesn't mean we can't have some improvements~
Z's progression is the only thing about Legion that gives me doubts. The rest has me totally stoked!
