Dear players
We would like to request your feedback in this thread regarding pet peeves, bugs, small balance tweaks, small quality of life improvements etc. Please keep in mind that server side changes will be prioritized and that weGÇÿre not looking for massive sweeping changes in this thread. Try to keep discussion to a minimum: if you want to discuss a point, make a new thread in the Features and Ideas forum or use an existing one.
We will collect the feedback over the next days but this particular thread will have an expiration date. We will then remove the thread, harvest all unique ideas, evaluate them and inform you. The CPM will be heavily involved in this process. If you miss out this time, donGÇÿt worry; we will make a new thread at a later date if/when necessary. So get your feedback in as soon as possible!
Please limit each post to a maximum of 5 points, preferably with bullet points and keep it short. This thread will be heavily moderated if these simple rules are not being followed accordingly.

- Improve plasma cannon. Not just in balance, but in bugs as well - there are a number of bugs (excessive time before weapon switch not found on any other weapon, reload glitches, ghost projectiles) that have been floating around for a very long time.
- Improve assault class. Bonuses like on the Caldari/Gallente assaults don't really encourage use of them over Commandos or scouts. I would suggest an emphasis on regeneration speed - allowing constant aggression and assaults.
- Remove slowdown effect on being hit.
- Tone down HMG. That might be controversial but at the moment it basically instagibs any non-heavy, and while some believe 'It's meant to be this way' it was unaffected by the TTK changes which leaves it at a power extreme that I don't think should exist.
- Fix firing from cloak in some fashion. Instant decloak shotgun attacks aren't really very balanced.
I tried not to include things you'd touched on in other threads with the exception of the slowdown effect, because that's a disgusting mechanic.
You have long since made your choice. What you make now is a mistake.

An option for players according to their preference that means they can choose to cycle through weapons only by tapping the cycle button, or weapon and equipment. Everyone wins. |

It's been a while since I last played but invisible swarms have made a reappearance. Also, it'd be great to have some tracers on forge and railgun shots because as I remember when I get hit by those, I only see a flash of blue on some part of my vehicle and I'm left guessing as to where it came from.
Something that's rather annoying: framerate drops when hit by swarms in first person. The blinding particle effects severely reduce my framerate (and it's the only thing I've noticed to slowdown my framerate in battle), which makes them last for too long of a time (I feel) which allows the swarm user to lock and fire another volley of swarms before the last particle effects clear up and I'm still disoriented and unable to gain my bearings in time before they jump back into cover.

Hello there,
Not sure if any of this is at all possible and prob won' t prove very popular in any case but would you be able to.....
- have a look at hit detection with sniper rifles
- Increase sniper rifle scope magnification at higher tier models (damage is fine imo)
- Stop the sniper scope targeting system from saying you can hit someone when they're behind a wall/terrain (is this maybe to do with rendering? I'm not really sure. Increased zoom might solve this)
- assign a cycle through equipment button (if there's not one already). The wheel thing can be a bit tricky at times.

#1 Remove/tone down snare effect when being hit (Especially for heavier frames with a larger hitbox).
#2 Buff assaults HP in order to close the HP gap between medium and heavy frames.
#3 Close down ISK gains in PC, change match set-up time to 15-20 minutes.
#4 Refund all SP for mercs on a weekly basis, since experimenting with builds is fun.

- Increase either AV grenade damage or increase the amount of AV grenades, having a close range counter to super high rep tanks is having something that can deal high damage up close, AV nades fit that category perfectly
- Give a minor damage buff to swarms, this is coming from a pilot, don't make the mistake of increasing a bunch of things at once, just one thing, small damage increase
- If there is only one thing you can do for dropship pilots, please reduce the collision damage with RDVs, at least give pilots a chance to recover instead of an instant death, this has been a common rage for pilots for over a year, it happen a lot with friendly RDVs when starting a match.

Equalize LP store costs. A module, when purchased from the LP store, equates to 'saving' 53 (on average) isk per LP spent over buying it from the normal Marketplace. Suits, on the other hand, 'save' you 73 isk per LP for Basic, 153 isk per LP for Advanced, and 316 isk per LP for Proto.
Also, simple payout increases in FW. At level 10, using those numbers, you max out making (without a booster) somewhere around 240,000 isk in LP, which is okay, but, I can make more isk in a pub rather easily.
I think I'm over Dust now...

Combine the ammo pool of a weapon if the player is using two of the same weapons.
For example, if I had two Mass Drivers, the max ammo pool would be 24 as opposed to 12.

Fix the damage scaling across AV weapons.
Swarms do 100%->125%->150%. Forge Guns do 100%->110%->120% Plasma Cannons do 100%->105%->110%
Because of the normal damage values, the non-proto swarms are pretty underwhelming, as are the non-basic PLCs. I made a suggestion on some values that fall in line with the Forge Gun's scaling.
Change projectile weapons so their damage profile isn't -5%/+10%.
Enable 16 man squads to queue for Faction Warfare. Praetorian mentioned this could possibly work during Fanfest.

1 Slow down turret rotations on madrugar a bit so tracking infantry is a bit harder 2 make collision on 3d decor less hurting for python, nimbness is ok but touch anything and instantly die, this is really sad and frustrating. |

If there will be no player market then at least allow trade between players and an option to sell all the junk we don't need (BPO's and officer weapons would be restricted) to the market.

- Please remove the slowdown mechanic for when a player is hit by bullets (Especially effective with high rate of fire weapons like HMG and ACR)
- Decrease Tank acceleration speed a little.
- More randomisation for Ambush 'smart spawns'.

I'm sorry, I know caps mean nothing but there are various bugs that you, I and everyone are aware of that have existed in Dust for years that seems to be mere terrain glitches. We can comprise a list I suppose if it would make it easier to identify and eliminate them? Please let us know

1) missing Breach and Burst Scrambler Pistols at prototype level, despite it being in the SDE and having us look at them for so long just out of reach
2) The IA5 Tactical Scrambler Pistol being removed from the market during Uprising 1.0 yet still remaining a salvageable item: remove completely or add it back to the market. same for the C27-N Specialist Sniper Rifle.
3) Rendering ranges for the Sniper Rifle. Absolute need for your squad to use passive or active scanners before the enemies render.
4) putting SP in to shotguns past Operations (I) is wasteful. Number of shots to kill does not increase, rate of fire does not change. I'd like to have my shotgun's Rate of Fire bonus back instead of damage to shield bonus. (numbers and stuff https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=147892 )
5) Sniper Rifles do not do enough damage to be used as a viable weapon. They cannon be used in Planetary Conquest matches without the Officer variant. No other weapon is as limited in function as this one. Performace took another decrease since change to proficiency and even Thale's TAR-07 Sniper Rifle needs more than 1 headshot to kill a medium frame now. 5a) discussion of Sniper Rifle performance gets no attention from Devs and quickly brings in trolls and flaming when on the DUST514 forums.
6) Swarm Launcher's are out-ranged by a tank's blaster turret.
7) Swarm Launcher's rocket speed is too slow.
8) Passive Scans can see through Surface Installation structures but cannot see through static terrain. (e.g. a 20m thick wall does not inhibit passive scanning, but a small mound of dirt or the spires that shoot out of the ground on manus peak or any small hill completely blocks passive scans). This problem does not exist for Active Scanners
9) vehicle spam on Skirmish and Domination. You guys reduced the quota on Ambush, not tweak it on the other modes too.
10) take away the bleeps from Proximity explosives. They already do too little damage to matter and place more down in the same spot just makes the bleeps louder or more frequent.
11) the turbines that cause heat-damage from the new maps.
12) Assault Dropships' damage resistance to swarm launchers
13) lack of STD, ADV, and PRO Combat Rifles and Forge Guns in the Loyalty Store 13a) Lack of Passive Scanning modules in the Loyalty Store 13b) Lack of 1.8 items in the Loyalty Store
14) Lack of MLT variants of all weapons
15) No 'Templar' Commando A-1 15b) No 'Templar' Scout A-1
16) getting stuck on walls when moving backwards
17) 100% movement speed when going backwards. Please reduce to 80%.
18) Stun lock. high RoF weapons will always be better than breach variants because of the slowdown/seize mechanic tied to weapons.
19) Shield Extenders being less than 60% value of Armor Plates
20) Flaylock pistol explosions no longer affecting Dropship stability

In certain areas of some maps, players cannot walk over small steps ( like the transition from dirt to an installation area) without having to jump. So my merc of the future can run and sprint all over most steep terrain, but has to jump to cross a small step probably no larger than his foot, stupid really |

Already covered but 1. small increase in damage, range, speed of Swarms. 2. Eliminate warning of proxies and improve their reaction time. 3. Slow acceleration of tanks. 4. Lower damage of HMG slightly.
5.As far as swarms, the lock-on range only needs a small increase but they should be able to reach 400 meters if they already have a lock.
6.Sniper rifles could use a little damage increase.
7. The radial wheel is also glitchy when trying to drploy equipment quickly, it sometimes gives you the wrong equipment from what the wheel shows or you have to switch to weapon back and forth several times to deploy equipment.
Because, that's why.

- Fix Rail Turret bug - Rail turret will fire "blanks" and/or freeze during reload cycle rendering it inoperable.
