I have mailed you in dust. I would very much like to speak with you.
The devs have not seen fit to give mercs forum access from our quarters like they gave the eggers. So i do not feel my voice belongs here, but i do feel that this is important.
a year ago, dust had an economy far too weak for the level of integration advertised between eve and dust. recently, i've tried making a starter dust character and a starter eve character. i found my isk/hr to be very comparable. i'd like to know if this is any indicator that the economy has strengthened even though methods to slide isk from eve to dust have been locked down in that time?
MORE IMPORTANTLY: we NEED the market advertised in the Dust514 manual. bringing a player market to Dust will save the game, save the players, and make CCP money. If for no other reason this would be accomplished through the confidence it would give the players who have been waiting 2 years for a market, but please consider that most players dont understand the payout system well for public matches. the unfortunate result of this is that even playing with veteran players, you often are robbed of isk by your allies in pubs. bringing the player market to dust will allow players to void their unused gear and give veteran players a well understood payout system: when you kill in FW you have a chance to loot. if you can sell loot, you can make FW a viable and sustainable game mode for older players (the ones that SHOULD be living in low-sec already). This would over the course of about a week flush every single person that belongs in low-sec out of pubs except for casual play. Doing so would herald the end of the public protostomp and eliminate almost all advantage of queue synching pubs, but please consider that it would also make HIGH SECURITY NEW PLAYER FRIENDLY IN A MATTER OF DAYS.
i strongly feel that this one change would breathe new life in dust, draw in new players, save old or lost players, and add interest to the gaming experience as a whole.
every single player i have spoken to agrees. Please, it is time for the market. |

so, as i have been defending ccp from the onslaught of disgruntled dust514 players raving that dust is dead and you might as well give up as project legion will take too much attention from dust514, i'm here 'till the srvrs are yanked, myself. i (we)am(are) wondering if and when more balance will come to the game, though. scouts stacking mobility modules and skilling out so they move so fast that they literally 'walk' between bullets. additionally, scout cloaking with shotguns that takeout proto-sentinels with a single shot. the heavy suits having NOTHING to defend themselves against this super fast, super armed scouts is just an example of how this game has lost some fun value and spiked the stress factor that makes this game so much fun and makes it so addictive. this is the first game i have been able to play where mature players can group together and commradery actually has a meaning in the immersion. we players are ALWAYS complaining on the battle field about this particular imbalance, as we see it. one cloaked scout, with tweaked skills and bought guns that move so fast you can hardly see them as they step casually between bullets from pretty much any arm offered, regardless of what i costs. if you are in the game you would know exactly what i am talking about. we just would like to know when, if at all, this particular issue will come to pass, or just be addressed. come what may, we are in it to win it. thanks for the endless hours of addictive fun that is sure to be a very useful tool for PTSD. see you on the battle field, clones. Il Tempo Passa
p.s. wil we ever be able to have ote pasds like our eve counterparts?

Griev is completely right if we want to keep the game from being shut down its important to first of all give us a player market and allow us to begin trading like in eve. And getting the vets out of highsec and into low sec, Faction Warfare, Make the game more enjoyable for new players. Ive only been playing for about 5 months and i gotta say that its just infuriating as to how so much proto gear is allowed in Public battles!. There are times where you cant even spawn in because you justt get shot and not allowed to leave. Times when you cant even leave your MCC spawn area or your ground spawn!

From today, I will be working closely with CCP Rouge to ensure the continued development and support of DUST 514, and will try to serve as your main point of contact for all matters DUST. In case youGÇÿre interested, my Dev Spotlight can be found here. I want to begin by establishing the two main themes that will guide our development and improvement of the DUST 514 experience. TransparencyGÇóDUST 514 is my favorite shooter on the PS3 and we can and will make it even better. GÇóPersistance is the key factor, more so in DUST 514 than any other fps. There is plenty of fun to be had by squadding up with friends, skilling into various roles or specializing in a single role, and ultimately killing, winning and reaping the rewards in ISK and SP, even if Project Legion is developed on PC. GÇóPlease do not biomass your characters, it breaks my heart. GÇóAs CCP Rouge said at Fanfest, we will do everything we can to take care of our players. If Project Legion is green lit, we intend to migrate your character over if you wish and our goal is to preserve as much of your emotional, financial and time investment as possible. GÇóI want you to understand that right now you have a choice of maximizing your SP by using boosters, or saving your AUR/boosters, whatever makes the most sense to you as a player. GÇôkeep playing using boosters and increase your SP GÇôkeep playing and donGÇÿt spend your AUR on boosters GÇóOur new processes will ensure that we are fixing and improving the right things in DUST 514 at the right time GÇóI want to work with the community. I admit that I donGÇÿt know everything and I expect you to understand that we are doing our best. The individuals on the dev team, including me, will not have experienced every single thing you have. On the flipside, we have the design vision and plenty of data. There must be a mutual respect, and criticism is welcomed, if it is based on facts and put forth in a constructive way. Collaboration and DataGÇóCCP Rouge and I are strong believers in crowdsourcing. I have said many times in the past that gamers are the ultimate optimization engine, a huge neural network of smart people from all over the world and from virtually all professions. The time it takes the playerbase to find the debatably GÇ£best fitGÇ£ is measured in hours and days, not weeks. Ultimately, we, the dev team will make the final decision but I consider the community at large, through forums and CRM reps, to be the first pillar, the CPM the second and developers the third. GÇóI also believe in learning from the example of others, most notably our EVE devs, including CCP Rise and CCP Fozzie. You can see them here presenting their EVE balancing philosophy ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EbS8HRHJ4nY). GÇóWe will establish a few precedures and processes that will encourage a functioning feedback loop and verification with data. Next StepsGÇóA clarification on GÇ£server side changesGÇ£ versus GÇ£client updatesGÇ£. Most of the attributes of items can be changed in our backend system, called CATMA. GÇóAdding new weapons and dropsuits with existing functionality, changing weapon damage, dropsuit hp and slots, pg and cpu values, and most of the values needed for balancing items and roles can be changed during server downtime. GÇóThings like terrain, texture, models, animations, functionality, UI and more, cannot be changed server side and need a client update. These changes are unlikely, but theoretically possible. GÇóIn the short to mid term we will exclusively be focusing on server side changes GÇóWe will sort all feedback and ideas into the two categories based on technical evaluation, because it is not always obvious which one it is, and let you know GÇóWe will aim for the first iteration pass as soon as possible. The DUST 514 team already has a sizable list of things we want to improve on. GÇóWe will also be launching an GÇ£All the Small ThingsGÇ£ thread in General Discussions to crowdsource ideas in the next few days and gather for the next pass, again, with focus on small and quick server side updates we can get out the door as soon as possible. GÇóAs part of the process, we will sticky specific topics under Features and Ideas and harvest feedback from those threads. Finally, to those who want to continue our DUST 514 journey together I welcome and invite you to have your say. To the others, I truly wish all the best, and hope to see you again in the future. Sincerely, CCP Rattati Are you guys atleast gonna put it on ps4 your loosing all your console players to planetside 2 and forgods sake planetside 2 is running at ultra pc settings and 1080p 60 fps and its bigger than it so theres no reson you cant do so, im done with dust till i see happen, many players from dust are already on ps4 using warframe as a place holder and waiting for planetside 2 i know we have about 400 waiting and more, im waiting for planetside 2 and i realy want project legion. Are yall scared to do so against planetside 2? If not you better anouce soon for ps4 |

Hi, I just got CCP's latest newsletter and I get that your a sort of new liaison between the players and your company. After 8 months of playing, I rage-quit DUST a couple of months ago in the great respecfuck. Basically, I just got fed up with getting all my weapons (Swarm Launcher, etc.) nerfed to uselessness after months of hard grinding (and months of spending real money). Is there any chance CCP will be changing the respec policy to include a respec on weapons skill points? If so, I'll be coming back to the game. If not, well, to be honest, I'm having no problem finding plenty of great games to play. Cheers, Eberk |

okay bro i like some of the things your sayin but really what does it matter.... im not gonna play legion so what are yall gonna do about all my time, fiances and emotions put into this game? ive spent well over 200 hundred dollars on this game, that includes the collectors set i bought just for the dust side codes. and after over a year of playing and never complaining about all the stuff thats been done i wrote my first ticket. i wanted a refund on my amarr assault suit skill points because it is so broken, i only skilled into it because of the scram rifle. i cant play pc with it it pointless unless i wanna get griped at for dying so often i can go 30-10 with 3000 wp in any pub with any of my other advanced suit but i was laughed at by a dev basically for askin for a respec when i have never asked for anything. so tell me bro whats my reason for staying i cant help my corp with pc and pubs are boring as hell after 2 years of the same stuff everyday. if it wasn't for my friends in corp id allready be gone! so really man give me five minutes of your time since no other dev on this game thinks im important enough and tell me what your gonna do for people like me in this game....

I wanted to see a player market, PvE, corp battles, new vehicles and so much more. Damn all this makes me sad.
