CCP Rattati
I have mailed you in dust. I would very much like to speak with you.
The devs have not seen fit to give mercs forum access from our quarters like they gave the eggers. So i do not feel my voice belongs here, but i do feel that this is important.
a year ago, dust had an economy far too weak for the level of integration advertised between eve and dust. recently, i've tried making a starter dust character and a starter eve character. i found my isk/hr to be very comparable. i'd like to know if this is any indicator that the economy has strengthened even though methods to slide isk from eve to dust have been locked down in that time?
MORE IMPORTANTLY: we NEED the market advertised in the Dust514 manual. bringing a player market to Dust will save the game, save the players, and make CCP money. If for no other reason this would be accomplished through the confidence it would give the players who have been waiting 2 years for a market, but please consider that most players dont understand the payout system well for public matches. the unfortunate result of this is that even playing with veteran players, you often are robbed of isk by your allies in pubs. bringing the player market to dust will allow players to void their unused gear and give veteran players a well understood payout system: when you kill in FW you have a chance to loot. if you can sell loot, you can make FW a viable and sustainable game mode for older players (the ones that SHOULD be living in low-sec already). This would over the course of about a week flush every single person that belongs in low-sec out of pubs except for casual play. Doing so would herald the end of the public protostomp and eliminate almost all advantage of queue synching pubs, but please consider that it would also make HIGH SECURITY NEW PLAYER FRIENDLY IN A MATTER OF DAYS.
i strongly feel that this one change would breathe new life in dust, draw in new players, save old or lost players, and add interest to the gaming experience as a whole.
every single player i have spoken to agrees. Please, it is time for the market. |
