Update:
I called a second time, go tthe same level 1 rep.. (weird right?), was really cool about it. He transfers me to a different supervisor, and I got the same message. "Because the game will continue to be supported, even without new content, we can't process a refund request." He was also pretty cool about it, but said there was nothing to be done. Also note that they write up the summary of the conversation in your profile, so the next reps see that the last supervisors rejected your requests...
So, yeah, now I have unused Aurum sitting in game and I can only use it there. So I will, what? buy in game boosters to increase SP? For what? A "possible" transfer to Legion? ...
Man, super disappointed...

There's still the option of an actual charge-back, if you are up to it.
Again though, be aware that doing so jeopardizes your business relationship with SONY in the future.
All comes down to how strongly you feel you were swindled, and how strong your desire to un-swindle yourself is.
CALL 1-800-345-SONY. PRESS '2' AND THEN '2' AGAIN. AURUM PURCHASES CAN BE REFUNDED WITHIN 90 DAYS!

In my specific case, I don't think I will go that route. I like Sony products and it really is just CCP being the stereotypical capitalist corporate america role model.
I wonder though.... (and I doubt Rouge would reply to this), if the unused Aurum will also be transferred to Legion. Or if I started on Eve, if my Aurum and equipment would transfer there... |

I plan to spend my remaining Aurum and use up my Aurum gear to actually kick some *** in the remaining time Dust keeps going.
I am still getting the value that I paid for this gear, but now I'm being less stingy about it, and actually having FUN! Isn't that the whole point of this game was to have fun??? Or is everyone too obsessed with winning? I can understand that people who bought the collectors editions and had invested money into BPO, but it's simply just that. An investment (kinda like real life) which you had your time to use it. Nothing last forever, and dust was circling the drain long before the announcement was made.
Grab your weapons, nut up, and go out fighting rather then whining like a bunch of adolescents.
Forge Gunners: Now this is a gun for going out and and making people miserable with.

First off, get bent. I mean that in the nicest way I can, I don't really wish any harm on you and I'm sure you're a wonderful person, please forgive me.
But that condescending last sentence deserved it, get bent.
Now secondly, I didn't ask for a refund for every dime I've ever spent on DUST. I own a ton of BPOs across three accounts, I've bought more boosters than I can count, and hundreds of proto-level weapons and equipment to use while I skilled up from advanced.
I didn't want my money back from any of those purchases, it was cash well spent and I enjoyed the use of those items.
I got the refund for money I spent in the last three months, after the point in time CCP had pulled developer support from the game so that they could work on Legion without informing anyone about it.
Those purchases I would NOT be getting my money's worth out of. There will be no further expansion of the game. No new content, no more striving to reach the goals and keep the promises CCP made (and until yesterday continued to make) about where this game was going.
They changed the terms this game was defined by when they set a functional end-point to progression and content expansion, and they did so without any notice.
I got my money back for my recent purchases as a result, since they plainly no longer carried the value they once had in light of the new information.
I don't see anything wrong with that, and I don't see how it makes me or anyone else who has sought a refund a "whining adolescent". CCP didn't hold up their end of the bargain. So I didn't uphold mine. Quid pro quo.

well, shame on me for being so easily fooled. Guess I'll still play dust until I run out of ISK, but no more Aurum spending for me.

It was yesterday, myself and several others were refunded.
It would appear though, that CCP has had a talk with SONY in the time since and persuaded them to deny refunds.
I don't know what the status of refund potential is right now, but the last few people in here haven't met with any luck.

Hi,
As an afterthought, I replied to their "how did you like our customer support" survey with low scores and the following:
~ The issue is regarding the discontinued product development & enhancements previously advertised for Dust514 as per CCP initial business plan.
As such, my request was to be refunded any unused in game currency purchased through the PSN. The discontinuation of the product development and enhancements is a breach of product advertisement and therefore a breach in promised product delivery.
The announcement by CCP was made within 90 calendar days of my purchase & within the refund period.
~
I would have continued with more, .... but there was a character limit on the field... |

Spent most of the weekend contacting my friends (and enemies) some got refunds, some didn't. Seems to be a mixed bag depending on who you talk to and how you plead your case. Keep trying and remember to be polite. Sony had nothing to do with this.
Call 1-800-345-SONY, press 2, then 2 again to get your money back if you bought AUR in the past 90 days.

CCP probably gave Sony the actual state of affairs, rather than the 'Rage CCP has totally killed Dust right this moment' that a lot of you are on about. The only Solid 'No' CCP have said is to new game modes. They haven't said 'nothing but bug fixes'. That may be the case that it's nothing but bug fixes, but it's not been confirmed this is the case and they very easily could have things like racial HAV's/Heavy Weapons still in the pipe line. Since they aren't game modes & all. Since what they actually spoke about was 'focusing on improving the experience'. |

Seriously? CCP isn't losing more than a couple thousand on this "let's call Sony and complain" crap. They don't care.
And I'm satisfied as long as the server isn't shut down for Dust. You get what you pay for. It's your fault for paying it.
If they were actually shutting it down I would agree with you guys.
