I can agree that it's ****** however I think you're missing something. You shouldn't prevent firing under any circumstances, however certain times it shouldn't be rewarded. I've been advocating for 0 passive SP, no kills and no WP while in the redline.
Solves every problem and quite honestly, if you're in the redline for any reason you don't deserve ****.

Explosive damage is only +20% to armor, and -20% to shields. not 30%.

Rails are overpowered still. The range wasn't as big of a problem as the damage

While you would be right if CCP were competent, they're not so you're wrong.
Missiles still have the old damage profile of 135/70.
(Rails also deal blaster damage, for the record. CCP apparently forgot about vehicles when they changed profiles. I don't mind though, they've been forgetting about vehicles for a year now, except for that rebalance which was so poorly balanced as to not even count)

Well large missiles are the best weapon system to take down armor tanks. They just vanish when you use a damage mod. However the reload time is painfully long and if you miss you are most likely screwed.

missiles needs it's name changed to rockets, nerfed damage wise, reload shortened, and splash made bigger. maybe (probably) a higher tracking as well.
Then missiles that are semi auto (with a slower ROF than the rockets), with a higher missile speed and damage, with also passive tracking needs to be added.

How about we fix the hit detection on these turrets before we talk about nerfing or buffing. If you got killed by a missile tank it was because of your bad judgement. I'm dead set on the idea that missile tanks are by a wide margin the weakest tanks in the game. Simply because half of the time they fire incorrectly andmissle tanks are better at being a sentry type vehicle that aids other tanks in battle. |

For the range they have to be in to actually do damage to you, it deserves the King of CQC status. If anything, I'd say it needs a buff by fixing the fall-off damage and changing reload mechanics to work like SGs. For once I'm in agreement
@the OP: dude, don't cry that your Incubus got shot down by a missile launcher. For one, their burst damage is only good at CQC (I'd say less than 50 meters) so you should have been well aware of that tank and know the potential risk it poses. Also, have you not any idea how good of an aim you must have to hit and down moving dropship at anything beyond 100 meters? You have to be able to predict flight path, compensate for missile velocity, then adjust your aim as soon as the pilot reacts to the first few missiles (because at such range you're only shooting two or three missiles per second).
Missiles are by far the most balanced large turret, except that it's UP due to the OP-ness of railguns and blasters performing better than they should.
