Somebody just needs to learn how to fly. ADSs are the kings of hit and run vehicles, if you're flying too lethargically (a common side effect of relying on hardeners) then just stick an M-CRU on and stay at the height ceiling. You're flying an airborne medium vehicle, not a tank, if you're still dying to rails after their nerf as much as you make it sound like then you're not adapting like a good pilot should. |

A hardened vehicle with above 2k hp shoukd not be instakilled I used an incubus ao yea Also I have this gun that instakills you anywhere on the map if you stop sprinting to shoot -1,800 Base Damage for a Particle canon +58% damage for dual damage mods (pretty common for an experience railer) +10% damage bonus to armor +30% damage if shot in the thrusters (easy on an Incubus) -25% damage from hardeners I come up with roughly 3,100 damage per shot, which sounds about right seeing as they have to get within 300 meters of you and only get to aim up at 40 degrees.
Incubuses are designed to soak up forge and swarm damage and keep chugging along, while Pythons are designed to be glass canons with short engagement windows. Personally I've never had the patience to run slow RoF Incubuses, but I can tell you that if you're running less armor than I am shield then you're running a build similar to the Gorgons I 1-clip with my Python's XT-1s. |

Balance that then Atm rails are unbalance at cqc Missiles have too much alpha Putting a railgun on a tank should reduce it's speed and torque by 2/3 and should not be allowed to discharge in the redline if less than 7 members of your team are behind the line. Bam, balance. |

Soooo, 1800 * 1.639 * [1.10 * .75 = .825] * 1.30 = 3164.0895 dmg / shot So, two shots with double mods -450 base damage +30% armor damage +30% modded damage +10% lv.5 ADS skill bonus damage x 8 shots in the clip / 4.8 seconds to dump it = 1,400 DPS = dead tank in roughly 5-8 seconds, depending on if I have to reload. I usually receive more hate mail from rail tanks than I send to them, you just have to know how to counter them. |

I've never used large missiles myself, but I can tell by the sound of this thread that you're one of those newbs who got killed by one of us real ADS pilots then skilled halfway into them thinking they were easy to use. Missiles are fine, your fitting and piloting is what needs modification. |

550,000 ISK for a glass cannon that has more bugs than any other vehicle and explodes instanty to the first obstacle you inevitably touch in maps that lag horridly is a bit uncalled for, but the price is appropriate of the damage they cause. CCP just needs to fix all of the issues around collision, lag and rendering before they touch the stats of the ADS. Anyone who has the balls to fly one will tell you that they are the most challenging vehicles to operate and whiteness the most frustrating of bugs and glitches in the game. |
