The problem NOW is that 2-3 people working toghether can't kill a tank because of the ridiculous speed boost from overdrives, once your health is low activate the overdrive and enter the plaid zone, no brain required. That's what pisses off people.
I want tanks and infantry to be balanced and FUN, i joined Dust514 on 25/5/2012 and played since then. I played a both a Blaster Surya (when missiles were so op that they oneshotted infantry with SPALSH) and proto forgeguns.
and I WANT THIS GAME TO BE FUN AND BALANCED, fotm chasers can go **** themselves. |

Just that it seems a Sica is as good as my Madrugar with a PRO rail at destroying other tanks. Makes my blood boil to see some slob in a MLT tank nearly destroy me in as many shots as I'm throwing at him.

Oh, and missiles haven't been OP since before Chrome. I think even the build before that one. So we're talking about well over a year ago.

How many people are driving and operating that tank? 1 How many people bought and paid for that tank? 1 How many people skilled into using the tank? 1
How many people should it take to kill 1 Scout? 1 How many people should it take to kill 1 Assault? 1 How many people should it take to kill 1 Sentinel? 1
How many people should it take to dispose of a LAV? 1 How many people should it take to disposs of a DS? 1 How many people should it take to dispose of a HAV? 3? And you don't see the mathematical conundrum that arises from that?

I would be happy if a the recall would deny ordering a new vehicle for a longer time. I can live with the recall itself but what bugs me is that you can recall you damaged vehicle and call in a fresh one short after that should not be possible. |

The final fix for the tank problem
This is a long term plan but will fix most of the issues:
Make a medium class vehicle (between the light and the heavy):
- This vehicle would have no spare sits, the pilot will also be the gunner;
- It would works similar to the tank now, but with 1/3 of the EHP;
- Same price as the tanks are now;
- Guns will have smaller size than current (same tracking, 1/3 of the damage from now);
- Speed should be the same as now;
Make the HAV role different:
- Change it so it needs AT LEAST 2 guys to make it effective: 1 driver, 1 gunner at the heavy gun, 2 gunners at the light gun;
- Same EHP as now;
- Same DPS as now;
- Slower tracking (1/2 of what it is now) so it have hard time killing light infantry (there is just no way a tank should be able to kill a scout or a fast medium suit);
This changes will end the issue of the 1 man army that is currently the main problem of the HAV QQ. |

Then switching suits needs to take a lot longer too, and you need to be killable the whole time. You don't realize that some people are actually using it how it's meant to be used, adapting to the current situation on the battlefield. Your suggestion makes it a lot harder to use it for the intended use. It would not affect those wishing to recall damaged vehicles as they have no desire of calling in a new one in the heat of battle. Instead recall time should be linked to armor % lost on the vehicle. And recall should have a cooldown of 1-2 mins to stop people avoiding cooldowns on rail tanks.

Are you addressing the issue that vehicle users are receiving war points for vehicle damage. This creates a payout disparity which enourages greater tank spam. Can a Dev please comment on this? It's already becoming a frequent issue. I went into 5 matches and watched tanks trade fire the entire match earning 5k+ wp. The payout for that amount of wp only will encourage greater abuse by players |

Hey judge...iI respect you and your opinion more than anyone in the game...but I have a question for you....your Ok with the fact that CCP ignored the community and your videos for months without even commenting? I just find it convenient that hat after the 3rd worst patch in the history of gaming all of a sudden they have something to say. That's all...thanks for the videos judge...they are the thing that convinced me that even when shown flaws within the game..they are not a dressed.
When you dropped the video about the swarms...There should have been an Immediate response. When they did not it showed me that perhaps it was time for me to move on cut the players care about the game then they do.

Make all tanks slower (like much slower even with injectors) and swarm missiles faster like 2x than the fastest possible dropship.
I bet CCP will do nothing of this. They will just make militia tanks more expensive to keep tankers with high SP happy and make them even more OP. |

The people that took time to care about the game are not treated well. When an issue is negatively impacting large numbers of players, and they take the time to use the tools CCP put in place to express this, then it is a poor reaction to not even respond with the simplest acknowledgement.
If you have a community team then they should be here for their community when it cries out. Their lack of response was a black mark against them.
My strongest worded opinions on the matter hit their inboxes, not the forums.

Yes the big problem of vehicle vs av is when someone is recalling it... /sarcasm.
If you were going to blow up the tank, then when the person gets out you're still going to blow it up... Failing that you could just shoot the guy who's recalling it.
The problems are mostly module stacking, hardeners need to have their active time halved when more than 1 is equipped... Armour rep needs a severe stacking nerf since it doesn't stop repairing when being shot... Damage mods should just be removed because the damage output from even small turrets is fine, large turrets just get stupid.
The other thing is large turrets, need to deal a lot less dps... slow the fire rate &/ refire rate of them add some real recoil to the rails and make missiles viable rather than a "haha I got close to you and mashed the fire button so you died, but if I wasn't next to you I wouldn't deal any damage" make it actually usable at range where it should be getting use from. |

The only thing Dev's need to do with tanks is increase the price tag. Militia tank frames should be 250,000 ISK. Standard should be 500,000 ISK. advanced should be 1,000,000, and proto should be 1.5 mill. That would stop spam. Also reduce the number of tanks able to be placed to 2. Also I don't agree with getting 2 AV or flux grenades. Locus grenades were okay with than nerf. Any other type of AV should be buffed as well. I hope you guys take thes into consideration. From a players perspective I think veryone would agree. Tanks aren't over powered AV is under powered. |
