I would say you sound hurt, but you are complaining about a mechanic in a game that has been around a long time. Blob? This has been cried since eve was created day one. Blame the people, that can gather more people, than their enemies. EVE mechanics are designed around many many different aspects. This "blob" is one of them.
The day that we let more than 16 players into a battle and it be limitless is the day that Goons will blot out the sun with rifters. |

But its true
EVE allows as many numbers as you can bring, even if you are bad you can bring down a target eventually
In DUST you are restricted to 16 atm, now DUST requires you to aim and if you cant you will be dead, now if its limitless you can throw in plenty of bad players but with clone limitations it means you will just lose alot more clones quickly against good players and the match will be over

BTW i've fought against them and with them EVE side, their bomber fleet were some of the best ever, and it was a tactic they used against blob, i was even part of the leadership of TCF, we gave them deklein

We're here, there's just no point to doing anything other than ground work and preparation until this game is complete. Aside from the occasional fun side project like Grief University, we mainly just have a core group of guys who get drunk and sing songs while grinding pubs or trolling FW. We also have a few spies and diplomats working on long term stuff, but it's all a holding pattern until CCP decides to get their rear in gear. |

Don't kid yourself into thinking we're a special case. Beyond the ability to grind SP points and accrue isk with nothing to spend it on, NO ONE has any power here.
If we haven't yet taken anything of yours it's because you have yet to build anything worth taking.

Who says that? I thought we said that Dust is such a terrible, no content game that fails to live up to even the most basic promises set forth by CCP when it was announced that we can't be bothered to put any effort into it. We're actually telling people not to play the game, because we want our player base to be introduced to it once it's not so terrible instead of getting burned out permanently because of how bad it is. |

Killer-12 he said that cfc could destroy any dust/eve alliance eve side( which is true). They are waiting till pc2.0 to attack. I'll find the quote 1 sec.

It was not killer-12. My mistake but it was a person from Top men. Nomed Deeps
Nomed Deeps wrote:Quote:Nomed picked apart most of your post, he missed this one. "True DUST/EVE alliance" I skipped commenting on that because everyone knows there is barely any EVE/DUST integration currently. Give a real reason for an EVE presence with DUST and you'll see one. Until then, you'll mostly see DUSTers playing pilots.
Nomed Deeps wrote:Quote:The corporate raiders seem to be a corp stuck in a canyon. They are stuck between success and failure. Due to one of their directors they are know by big name corps, but they are not strong. PC is currently in a state where it is pointless to take PC seriously (which had already been stated). So to try and judge which corp is strong or weak off of current PC performance is also pointless. .
Truly the argument stated here is ignorance. The idea of not entering pc because it is pointless seems lazy.
It would make sense to say " We tried in pc and lost. After multiple defeats we stopped because it was hurting our moral too much "
Saying pc is pointless is like " I don't want to go to school because i would fail and the teachers hate me. The education system is broken "

We were autonomous even when we were crashing on Top Men's couch. So, Nomed never spoke for Goonfeet (and therefore Goonfleet) in particular. So, I'm at a loss as to what you'd be getting by bringing that up. The best way to make eve players interested in dust is with money. There needs to be a merket in dust that connects to eve. I rant about it in this video. http://youtu.be/Z8jBBFe58Z4 But if you could pay eve players. Or be in an eve alliance and be able to pay the alliance fee there would be a better cohesion between the two games.

I know everyone wants to cling to the narrative that goons are incompetent morons who you would totally show who's the boss if only they would play by the rules you've made up but we actually did alright in PC until burnout killed our interest in it. We are a small corp who doesn't recruit among the player base because we want people who are fun to play with rather than people with "gun game" so we just don't have the numbers to cycle people through PC matches.

You can get mad, or turn this around on me, but I personally don't like Goons. The only time I have ever seen any of them in a match for the last several months was to watch them boosting in match (opposite sides, hunting a solo blue to kill/rev. couldn't help b/c was across map) and generally making sure that anyone engaging their corpmates on the opposit team were distracted by fire from behind. Then they went into the local chat (specifically 2 of them from a previous match doing the majority of the boosting) and proceeded to gloat about the boosting and recruiting others to join their corp so they could "show them the ropes" of boosting (their words, not mine). Seemed pretty low-class, but to each his own, as it served no purpose than to show others how to run off the new playerbase.
I know it doesn't matter. I know you will likely take this as an attack on the corp as I only have limited interaction, all negative. Regardless, most everyone I know has little to no opinion of Goons, as we are mostly dusters exclusively. I just felt the Goon-lovefest should have someone throw in some reality as well. Several ways to increase stats without resorting to boosting, and any corp which supports these particular methods is not one I think can effectively have any serious Dust-side impact. That is unless they are carried by corps with players who earned their stats. In which case, GL with that.
P.S. Not in Eve. Don't plan to go into Eve. Only care about Dust. |
