You can get mad, or turn this around on me, but I personally don't like Goons. The only time I have ever seen any of them in a match for the last several months was to watch them boosting in match (opposite sides, hunting a solo blue to kill/rev. couldn't help b/c was across map) and generally making sure that anyone engaging their corpmates on the opposit team were distracted by fire from behind. Then they went into the local chat (specifically 2 of them from a previous match doing the majority of the boosting) and proceeded to gloat about the boosting and recruiting others to join their corp so they could "show them the ropes" of boosting (their words, not mine). Seemed pretty low-class, but to each his own, as it served no purpose than to show others how to run off the new playerbase.
I know it doesn't matter. I know you will likely take this as an attack on the corp as I only have limited interaction, all negative. Regardless, most everyone I know has little to no opinion of Goons, as we are mostly dusters exclusively. I just felt the Goon-lovefest should have someone throw in some reality as well. Several ways to increase stats without resorting to boosting, and any corp which supports these particular methods is not one I think can effectively have any serious Dust-side impact. That is unless they are carried by corps with players who earned their stats. In which case, GL with that.
P.S. Not in Eve. Don't plan to go into Eve. Only care about Dust. |

P.S. Not in Eve. Don't plan to go into Eve. Only care about Dust. No one is going to get mad at you but I have 2 notes about this post. 1. We don't "boost" as you call it to pad our stats, too much attention gets paid to individual stats in this team game. We do that to have fun and troll, we don't actually care about our KDR. 2. We don't recruit among the public so anyone claiming to be recruiting for the purpose of teaching anybody anything is likely only trying to scam isk or annoy someone. I fail to understand how crashing some prototype lone wolf sniper's KDR in a FW is running off new players but then again I doubt you do, I suspect your just repeating something you've heard someone else who doesn't like us say because it reinforces your own opinion. told you, he is in my local chat and was in match with me. 2 in a row, bragging after each. Doing the same with same 1-2 goons. You don't have to believe me, I even called him on it in the local chat. He stated you all were down with it and I believed him. Just stating FIRST HAND EXPERIENCE, and inferring only based on what he told me.
Saw him in local chat just 2 days ago, haven't for awhile, and he is still a goon. So no passing it as someone who you guys booted. Not saying it isn't your right to do it, I just think it it low-class. Nothing more, nothing less. If the corp supports it, then you have actually confirmed what I suspected in the first place.
P.S. When someone gets on local chat bragging about boosting, using the term boosting, and I also witnessed said boosting in match....it is boosting. |

What's his name? As the COO of Goonfeet I can make sure he gets exactly what he deserves. If you have proof. Screenshots? Don't care, honestly. I could name if he is back in local, but not worth effort. I don't want him punished over it, been too long ago and since he's been in corp for at least 6-7 months you would already know his habits and passively condone them. Just about the only impression I have of your group, and it is negative. Not the only one to have this impression, and thought you should know, since you plan to rule us when the game gets good. |

I'm confused. Do you think Dust is a democracy where the most popular win? Nope. But if enough people actively oppose anyone's influences, it would be tough to maintain any semblance of control. While Eve/Dust merged economies could allow some large Eve entity a certain influence in Dust, the actual Dust corp would have to be strong on its own or it would be useless. Enough opposition could make pretty much any corp falter. Just a thought.
EDIT: just added that I actually didn't have to do any looking up because the individual in question already posted in this thread. Musta missed it in a reply sometime, but no need to "reprimand" anyone. I know the "punishment" would be "swift" and "difficult" to be metered out SoonGäó. |

Nowhere in my posts do I mention the words kill or death other than to state exactly how they were boosting. I also agree k/d means nothing in this game, which is why I never mentioned it or "getting into a corp". I was specifically referring to using some poor sap who likely had no idea what was going on, and may likely never attempt this game again, to WP/SP farm the **** outta the poor bastard. Just doing that is a part of dust, and isn't anything I hadn't seen before. It was the jackassishness (yeah, not a real word) to brag in local about it that bothered me. I've yet to see or hear from a goon that didn't share this individual's view. That is fine as well, as I would hope you would all generally be of like mind.
So I just personally don't like anyone I've met from your corp. You guys generally put words in people's mouths, abuse noobs in unnatural ways, brag about it, and expect everyone to share your sentiment. While I find every bit of that hilarious, I just can't get past the fact that it reeks of elitism, which is something I can't stand.
So push on, continue to do what it is you all do, and good luck with that world domination thing. I happen to think you might need it. |
