Cool. Now, how cheaply can you make a Minmatar Scout fit that handles all of that except for 3 equipment plus can still carry a light weapon? I've said it before but the real beauty of this game is being able make suits do things they were never intended to do. You can make this fit that is fast, more durable than a scout and carries more equipment. The downside is that its expensive and doesn't have a second weapon.

You could also blame the lack of scout-focused gear.
We only have cloaks, shotguns, and nova knives. Sniper Rifle doesn't count because it's better off in other suits right now.
They have to focus around that for now. Maybe in the future we'll get Scan Jammers, Trackers, decoy equipment, Jetpacks, and more scout oriented weapons(silenced pistols, miasma(smoke) grenades, Electronic Attack grenades, Anti-Personnel mines, etc).

You're Proto fit doesn't have three Equipment. What is your fit anyway?
I should be able to stitch together an Assault suit with a Primary + Knife Later(TM)
But for now, I'm off to enjoy my cookies.
(Also, suit cost shouldn't matter in competitive gamemodes like PC)

Which means the Minmatar Scout wont get a true role. If they really want to Minmatar to remain relevant with its current bonus the layout for Primary / Sidearm / Equipment needs to be 1 / 1 / 2.
So basically make the Minmatar the Amarr Logi of the Scout class.

Me when my R1 bugs out and it melees instead of knifes...
But really though I think they're trying to make it so if you equip a different side arm meleeing would still be useful but... lets be honest are you going to punch someone if you have a scrambler pistol instead of a knife? I know I won't.
Unless that melee is going to buffed so I can one hit kill MLT, STD, and some ADV suits that melee bonus is absolutely worthless in a realistic combat scenario.

my point is that the changes involve CCP chaning the number of slots, DB values and potentially alot of other numbers for scouts, we have literally no idea what they will look like other then cloaks and some varients may have no sidearm or have an extra equipment slot. we dont even know what verients it applys to and wich ones it doesnt.

They said it'll most likely be raised to 120, which is 150 at lvl 5.
Its still going to be useless. Needs to be atleast 200 when added all up, but even then it still sucks.

Same could be said for Scouts, Logis are going to become true support classes, they'll get bonuses to support equipment, and their passive repping is finally being removed.
On top of that, CCP will hopefully do the smart thing of making Logi Slot layout mirror that of the Assault class'.
Its been said before, Scouts should be the anti-logi, using EWAR to their advantage to disrupt the advance of the enemy team, using items like Webifiers, Cloaks, and REs.
If I wanted a class centred around frontline combat, I would've went for the Assault Suit, which is why I think Min Scouts becoming a 'Combat Scout' is just absolutely ridiculous.

Chromosone Scouts were good, but they were not what Scouts are suppoused to be.
If CCP give Scouts a huge boost to EWAR technology when it arrives, they can become some of the more useful classes in the game.
Could you imagine a Scout that could use Jammers to scramble the Radars of enemies, a Scout that can near insta-hack objectives, a Scout that can cause enemies within a certain radius to slow down temporarily, and maybe even a Scout that can cause the weapons of enemies to jam.
I want Scouts to be Scouts, not low HP version of an assault suit.

Of course its a made up number but sure, cost may not be important now but eventually the cost of wars/fights will be important. The cost of your fitting will be important.
There's a reason why people in eve don't fly the most expensive ships around all the time and use them for everything all willy nilly.
