They want to do what they've been doing, and they expect to get the kill. Well, it won't work. Make new tactics, and you might kill them. Hint, hit them while the hardeners are down.
Note: Not everybody uses those cheap ass MLT nitro's. I sure don't. Complex nitro for me, as I'd rather run longer than faster.

godin makes a fair and substantial point, a lot of AV users don't seem to want to adapt to the new mechanics.

Message from Godin: I was armed nothing but wiki swarms, a Toxin, a nanohive (quantum), some fluxes, and a Methana. In one match, I slain 8 vehicles all by myself. over half (5) were HAV's. Get good, AV's easy. just got to have skill and luck, just like in EVE. |

REs and mines could use some work and LAVs are near pointless, but vehicle vs AV is about as good as it's going to get right now.
I tried to put a level into Amarr Commando once, but got a server notification saying "Why?"

That two shots from a railgun is a lie . No offence ... but it took me four shots to kill the tanks that I murdered . You MUST be talking about a proto railgun .

You MUST be talking about a proto railgun . or damage mods. i blew up tanks in 2 shots with ADV rail.
takes 3 to kill gunnlogi no mods on without damage mod on. with damage 2 shots and with their resisit on. it takes me like 15 years to get through it. XD.
Tank driver. 10 mil SP in tanks 8 mil into infantry.

Rendering for HAV's are still horrible. I literally drove up on a HAV I didn't know was there. I was about a good 20 meters away before it rendered. It was just....sitting there. Anyways, rail vs. Forge does need some looking at. |

and ur holding a weapon. and ur comparing it to a huge tank turret. if anything the forge should hurt the user for the recoil it would have. O_o

You people are talking like these mods are new or something . They might work better than the previous ones and with the extra shields and armor boost plus the supposed damage resistance these tanks should be better .
That's all they had to do to the previous tanks but the prototypes would have had too many mods because of the slots so they chopped the slots in half and so when your driving your prototype tanks ( who knows when that will be ) you will really be driving the old Gunnlogi's and Madrugar's but with different names .
I want to know , where were all of you current tank drivers in the last patch . There use to be six or seven LAV's and that's on one team and now it's five tanks on a team and sometimes more .
Sure wish it was like that during the last patch , I wouldn't have been alone most of the time fighting three tanks by myself .
Wish you would say that tanking was bad then because you would have been telling a lie . You had more slots to customize but you didn't have the advantage of having the shield and armor buff on top of the anti-vehicle nerf as well , so of course you think it's better .

this makes them weaker.. although theres really no major need for em any way other than to survive a volley of missiles from a large missile turret. or multiple railgun rounds.
what would u rather see.. tanks running around with more than 5k possibly 6k armor. or cycling active armor resistance modules? |

You can ask Pearson. He was with me. He got pissed as I stole one of his kills, and drove off in my LAV, and he chased after he. Something about squishing me. I think it was a Sica. a little bit after, I saved his life by switching to a Scout Shotty, and killing a forge for him, so it was all good . As for the Map dependent, this was the vehicle god map since ever, Manus Peaks, and it's FW, so I would assume that my team is doing something. Plus, if your team is getting stomped on both fronts, and you're still trying to do your job and expect to win:

Rendering is a separate issue.
While I do understand rendering may sometimes be a problem, it doesn't seem to be a problem when I get hit by a Railtank that is a good 300m past the Redline which I had no idea was even there. The farthest I have been hit by these is about 460m. That is 160m farther away than the FG is capable of dealing damage, with 3x the rate of fire...
Well, like you said, Rail vs FG needs to be looked at, especially considering the FG is a Railgun. Thanks for acknowledging that, most HAV drivers would just spout some stupid recycled catchphrase.

How long does it take to kill a Heavy with an infantry Rifle again? What about other infantry weapons: Mass Driver, SMG, Shotgun, et al? What about a Blaster Turret? Missile Turret? Rail Turret?
Yes 2 shots would be more than balanced.

While I do understand rendering may sometimes be a problem, it doesn't seem to be a problem when I get hit by a Railtank that is a good 300m past the Redline which I had no idea was even there. The farthest I have been hit by these is about 460m. That is 160m farther away than the FG is capable of dealing damage, with 3x the rate of fire... Well, like you said, Rail vs FG needs to be looked at, especially considering the FG is a Railgun. Thanks for acknowledging that, most HAV drivers would just spout some stupid recycled catchphrase.
Message from Godin: I'm not a complete idiot. And yes, I know Rails have better rendering. But it's still as weird as it. I was with this guy earlier, and he didn't see a HAV drive right at him util it literally crashed into him. other times, he can see 450+m out lol. |
