BPO whiners are extremely obsessively selective of 'violated terms.'
By their logic:
SP Refunds are against Consumer laws as well especially if any of them have been boosted and spent into vehicles or previously before infantry. These are skill point you work just to spend into specific vehicle skills are no longer going to the game as of 1.7.
You should be demanding your real money you paid into boosters for to buy those 'powerups' then compensation for time spent acquiring the sp to buy that skill.
They should also be trying to sue over downtime every day if they have a passive or active booster that runs through that duration.

Seems strange to me.
CCP is taking away modules, even giving you aur for them, which is what you used to buy them in the first place.
Most of these things were useless, trash items. So you drive around in a milita tank bpo, which is kinda bullshit anyways, but you pop in seconds to swarms, so cool. But for items that really held no huge advantage in battle, the hate seems a bit much.
They imbalance the game. Tanking is one of the most expensive roles. Yet if I had me a bpo tank, I could drive them all day without a care for losing them. And I could rack up some wp off turrets and be making bank. So while actually somewhat useless, they can be used to rack up quick WP, not to mention games lacking in AV.
Everyone loves the idea, nothing is free, until they start taking your free stuff away. BPO's were a bad decision on CCP's part and I can't help but feel these people crying bloody murder, have a point. They would expect you to give them new BPOs for the new modules to use. Which seems fair. Yet still, I see these sort of things bad overall for a universe that is all about Nothing being free.
And I think a lot of this may be due to the state of dust, a lot of people are unhappy. Now you are taking their BPOs from them. Now they are super unhappy customers, who feel cheated. They don't want aur, nothing on the market compares to those bpos. It's your customers getting the short end of the stick.
Overall it is necessary, but I don't know if aur really cuts it. Maybe some unique suits or something eh. Or add some customization options for buy on the market. Aur is no doubt useless to the people who own these bpos.

Thank you iron wolf, good to know our CPM isn't as stupid and narrow minded as these poor fools. I'm sorry you had to make a thread of your own, I was hoping my other thread would enlighten these crusaders. Also the game required a download and hardrive space, by their logic we should also be compensated for this. And sending another hardrive won't do,the item must be more than what its worth. |

Unless you had time with the rifles I cannot take your claim seriously. NDA does have its privileges and the community team on cpm urging did wanted to get videos out but marketing wanted something fancy and with the time to patch there wasn't enough for it.
Either way a video itself won't do it justice either we're all gonna have to wait until we get these guns in our hands.

IWS all im trying to do is ensire the community is treated respectfully and can safely spend their cash in this game..
I don't disagree that they can do this... but how is removing items purchased you thought were permanent?
the only reason we thought they were permanent is cause ccp said they were.
just be straight with me here,
should I trust that ccp wont change their minds with how other purchases work leaving my investment worthless?
am I so wrong for wanting to foster a relationship with ccp where they honor their word and in turn I give them all my money?
do you really think my concerns are baseless?
again I get the legal aspect, I don't really own any of this stuff I buy a license to use it. but shouldn't they have been a bit more straight with us?
instead of posting we would keep them and then removing them without an acknowledgement they went back on their word?
hell I may have said I support you take them! but they were sneaky.
cant you see that?
well regardless I cant buy anything from them anymore because I don't trust them, and ive been very supportive.

Maybe you should look at a interview i watch about CCP on BPOGǪ
They said i quote " BPO are not working because they don't help the economy because players are not spending their ISK"
It's a joke because BPO are standard gear and everyone is advance or proto. I really don't get CCP logic, Or i do and they don't want player framing ISK because then players won't be spending real money on items.

Actually your prattle is disenfranchising the most of us who want to see this game in a far better place where we'd be more willing to throw money at the game then, most of the folks are okay with getting the aurum refund at the last available market price. They already knew factors of this where coming with the removal of all bpo sources underway was a signal to most of us that BPOs was a design mistake that should have never been introduced and CCP is doing this as fair they're legally allowed to.
Save the rage for times when it serious matters because the thing is this complaint has nearly popped up with EVERY type of refund so far, including the SP argument I brought up here was complained about in the past as well when they redid the infantry and entire skill tree just about. Wasting the protests over the smaller and trivial things is going to start pushing ccp into a corner where they just start ignoring us as a whole.
Dust has gone through quite a bit amount of painful growing since its start, CCP has learned a crap ton of lessons since starting development and its costing them arm and limb to get dust 514 fixed. Where most other companies would have shut down games three of four times as more polished as Dust but CCP is still very committed to make this work and getting it to work.
Where would MAG be if it had monthly updates that added to the game and changed it up? We won't ever know because the company gave up on it.
I am very damn sure had you not wasted your energy on your BPO crusade and spent all that energy into getting the Boosters prices lowered instead you'd be praised hero instead of labeled as a general annoyance.
There are always bigger fish to fry and that's why I don't seem to care at times when it comes to smaller things like these, there are better fights to be found at times, better energy to be spent and only so much time.

I'm not done with you.
In the 9 short threads you have posted you have consistently proved unworkable. Unreasonable is too kind of a descriptor for you as you come off as a self entitled child unable to live out in a world where people are going to step on you when you like it or not and are left wondering why its your fault it happens.
I've been to places where people have no rights to anything.
I've been apart of a group of people who gave up many of the most basic rights the rest of my country enjoys.
I know what it is like to have nothing but yourself and your trust on hand. To be dependent on others and understand how stupid things work and how most of my own biggest problems in my life are at all times been my own fault; and to that my own ability to fix as well.
I also have gone through the legal process before against a software company, its not fun going against companies like Sony or Apple and for my troubles 25 cents. Was the entire worth of my 180 hour music collection that was unfortunately unrecoverable as the songs of free distribution (as in the artist/publisher did not sell the music) destroyed are not sold no are they kept hosted back in those days. I am sure I spent over 40 bucks in additional internet fees acquiring the songs back then when internet companies charged you for over downloading.
I have no pity for you.
I have no mercy for you.

Slow clap...
Congratulations on entirely misrepresenting the point, you'll do well.
Just for the cheap seats, let me define the actual problem.
Here's what it's not: 1. It's not that 4 limited value soon to be obsolete BPO's are being removed
2. It's not that everyone complaining is an entitled cry-baby who can't read a contract
Here's what it is: 3. It is that CCP advertised to the player base that they should spend money to get AUR, to purchase BPO before they went off the market
4. It is that CCP made a representation that BPO's in inventory would be safe
5. It is that it is now evident that BPO's in inventory are not safe
6. It is that customers purchased AUR based on the above representation by CCP, and feel they have been misled by points 3, 4, and 5
7. It is that AUR refund that would only allow customers to purchase limited use items, as there is no longer the option of purchasing BPOs within the Dust ecosystem
8. It is that a number of customers are seeking a refund outside of the offered AUR, as the Dust ecosystem holds less value to them with the removal of BPOs
Let me know if I need to dumb it down for you a bit more, and maybe think twice before you post hyperbole when representing of someone else's viewpoint. |

Saving the community from itself. saving the community Your dividing the community. people are scared of losing their BPO and your calling them idiots. These players are not idiots, Just ill informed.
All I ask is for people to step back and look at the much more massive picture at hand here.
To not pre-label CCP as a money grubbing thief
and try to see the situation play out entirely from start to finish as a passive observer.
You can see why the bpo whining has nearly no traction then.
Quality, all I ask for. I got nothing to show from any of the BPO whiners that's worthwhile fighting with.
For example lets say you did spend 5 usd to buying these blueprints.
How much of that 5 usd made it to ccp after sony, and other local governments got down with it?
If CCP had to refund what's left to you guys how much would be left then? There had been other cases in the past where people got billed for money earned back from a class action lawsuit most not at fault of the company but that of government's that hosted the legal actions.
Ultimately the noise overall is harmful. People are getting annoyed by it, the noisemakers are splitting the community just as bad as I ever possibly could and you want to get mad at me for trying to smack some sense into them?
People are entitled to their opinions but it truly upsets me when they just bandwagon and take the ride off the cliff. Get off the bandwagon and speak for yourselves.

All I ask is that Ironwolf kindly shut up and stop attempting diplomacy or trying to 'make people feel better'.
You suck at it, and all you do is offend people on both sides and make bad situations worse.
Thanks.

Diplomacy is a tool to make people feel good.
I had no such intentions.
