I think CCP needs to reevaluate what they want the AR (whole class in general) to be.
I doubt they wanted AR to be the ultimate killing machine, beating niche weapons in their niche environments.
Whether this was caused by hit detection, AA, dispersion skill or whatever the gun has gone a little overboard. |

What is the point of all these shields and armor if only to survive .6 seconds longer. FAIL. This game should promote wearing different Sh*t for different scenarios.
Why wear proto? Two complex damage, an exile AR in covenant blueprint suit is all I use now. Most are dead before I friggin blink. If I die, who cares, costs me only 11K ISK.
I remember in close beta when Fatties were feared and took a team to take out. I remember when wearing proto meant you had a significant advantage over the regular merc cause you spent time into skilling into it. |

Been saying the Time To Kill has been becoming too low since the new accuracy was implemented several months ago....
Basically, the damage per bullet is too high with the new accuracy we have, hence the old damage was based around bullets Missing, and that was a good mix then. Now that we have bullets hitting, we need to reduce the damage in order to make modules and suits worthwhile.

No, don't limit possibilities. However I would agree that stacking HP mods with current ttk is a poor choice over damage mods.
You should be able to' feel' a difference with module stacking whereas ATM you don't get a chance to feel any difference in the suit experience which is wrong |

Maybe this is their way of balancing standard vs proto gear?

Could also be that they are ignoring the forums until they have fixed the problem, I just hope they will present a plan for a solution (or that they have a patch ready) at the same time as they officially announce this is a problem.

I'm in - I liked Dust when it required more skill to aim and strafe, when it required more strategy in terms of how to kill your opponent and stay alive in a sustained fight; that all came with higher time to kill.
Don't get me wrong, the current form requires strategy in terms of positioning, staying unseen etc.... you can't hide behind lots of tank, but proto gear is earned to be FEARED, not earned to be laughed at.
Dust, and New Eden is a harsh place, and they've changed the version of harsh that it has become.... I'm not interested in adapting to this new kind of New Eden - it's too much like the other games.
Something else needs to be done about the newbro experience; the stomping needs to be addressed but not this way - not by making the SP invested by higher level players useless, not by making PROTO suits a joke.

Shield/Armor tanking is pointless in this game now. 140 armor goes just as fast as 500 armor...

Those sum bitches can get 1200 HP. Assaults get 900. Why do they need so much more? Just equalize everything about the two besides the sidearm and equipment slots. Only weirdo is the Amarr Logi, which just needs to have a moderate loss in either speed or health to balance it out.
Because we spend half our time without an offensive weapon in our hands keeping everyone alive/supplied/informed and without that protection we can't even take the slightest risk to help others out. It is pretty much like that now as even a 1000 hp Barely gives you a second of survival time, ridiculous!
