I thought that CCP might have an agenda behind this. Since they are not commenting in any threads about TTK.
Maybe this is their way of balancing standard vs proto gear?
Maybe they want to increase the risk vs reward of running proto?
Or maybe they just want to **** people off and steal our ISK?

Could also be that they are ignoring the forums until they have fixed the problem, I just hope they will present a plan for a solution (or that they have a patch ready) at the same time as they officially announce this is a problem.

I have been using only militia and standard gear since I started 9 months ago. it's only fair and I can wreck newbs enough with that stuff. We need to self-regulate here until we have high/low/null sec areas. I will make an exception for the rewards week where they are giving quafe suits for every 10 kills with a proto weapon, though. Sorry newbros!

CCP is monitoring the TTK apparently. Collecting statistics. CPM has brought this issue up with CCP. Lets just wait and see what happens.

My childhood friend had brothers who at the time were studying to become engineers. We would join them and play HeXeN deathmatch against each other for hours... awesome times.
LOL @ strafing being first done in HALO and COD. Some people just need to learn gaming history.
The high HP strafing shooter we had previously, seemed very much like EVE (where you orbit your targets instead of strafe them). It was one thing that made this game unique if you compare it to other games. Also the skill tree and soon to be economy of course. But the high HP strafing gameplay really was something fresh for me.

Dust needs to get back the unique TTK that characterized the game and distinguished it from other shooters such as COD/CS/BF where you die from one bullet.
We are not soldiers of the 21st century. This game takes place faaar into the future, where you have protective shield and nanofibres in your clothes. It should take some time to rip through all that HP.
Also. Now that dust is a twitch game, it is even more noticeable how bad performance this game actually has. The higher TTK compensates lag and poor framerate.
