I know everyone has there role, but you might as well call them Idiot Points, because there is no skill/talent in obtaining them in high results anymore...

They can throw their Uplinks, revive, and heal people all day long, and they get rewarded for it more than the people who are on the ground doing the fighting and taking the objectives. I logi myself, its an easy way to farm WP without having to really do anything, especially anything that takes even a minute of skill

I am not liking the new WP mechanic of dropping the entire field so full of hives, my FPS takes a dive and my gun starts having troubles shooting because the game engine cannot keep up with all the objects taking up calculations. The last 3 games yesterday featured locations full of equipment, there should be a check in place or something for excesive stuff littering.

And lastly, for you idiots (in particular the guy who started this senseless QQ post) please keep driving your cars so we can continue to swarm and forge you down for being MORE than useless. You're not scanning anything. You're not killing anything (anymore), you're simply DRIVING around annoying EVERYONE that you run into. Stop that. Be productive and stop complaining about others that are earning war points.

Those scanned ARE VISIBLE TO EVERYONE ON THE MAP EVEN IF THEY ARE NOT IN YOUR SQUAD. I thank all you blueberries that scan continuously for letting me see who is around me.

Most logis I know earn their points by keeping their team in the fight, but there's no denying that there are people who drop all their stuff at the supply depot then switch to a cheap suit. So instead of just complaining, let's come up with some fair solutions. For drop uplinks, make it so they will not activate within x meters of each other. If you place your uplink down too close to an active uplink, yours will remain inactive until the other uplink is destroyed. For nanohives, make it so their distribution fields cannot overlap (supply depots included), with a possible exception for an ammo only /armor only combination. Most good logis do this anyway, because if you pile everything in one spot all it takes is one Precision Strike or a couple of flux grenades to clear your team's equipment. As for useless gunners, I've been saying since closed beta that we need ejector seats.

Colloquial use of the term braindead may differ from area to area, but I took it as pertaining to non-usage of the brain. The items I listed don't really require much use of the brain in order to use them to earn WP, just like (soon to be) Active scanners.

A good squad in dom can save up 2-3 orbitals and with only one hackable point controls the rest of the match just try to hack it back and see what happens.

I don't get those points for free, someone has to spawn on my uplink, or refill on my ammo, or take damage to their armor for me to GET the points.

Now I have hylighted the bitchyest part of your argument/statement here. Do not hate on the logis when im running heavy and have my dedicated logibro (Markofdeath) behund me I ralrly loose a suit even if im going 20/20 (exagerated score). And he will often run with a verry negative kd but will often top the leaderboards in wp because he is a dam good logi who will drop ammo/triage hives and drop uplinks at all engagement points also he will die 90% of the time with either a nanite injector or repair tool in hand . Thus rant of mine is the product of all the reacent logi hate from tryhards who get but hurt becuse they think that going 23/0 is more importent than keeping team mates in the fight. This rant is a counter but hurt rant and a massive thanks to our dedicated logibros not murderlogis . Our dedicated logibros keep my clones in action save me suits and keep plenty of ammmo at my side without them ..... as a heavy its not worth fighting. Peace out and keep up the good work logibros.

I do agree that there needs to be a limit to the uplinks though. As to how to do that, I have no idea.

Many times I've joined a battle on a team that is about to get redlined in skirmish with hardly any shields left on our MCC. I pull out my uplink logi fit, sneak around the enemy team (solo, not in a squad) and put down 3 to 4 uplinks in concealed / hard to get to spots. Then I switch to a medic / ammo fit as the enemy team suddenly finds that my blueberries are spawning behind them and taking all the points. Because I placed my uplinks carefully they don't get destroyed, and the enemy focuses on hacking the control points back. But they can't stop us from spawning and rehacking. Next thing you know it's their team that is getting redlined. It wasn't my GEK that made this happen, it was the uplinks. *This is really just a pub match thing, PC is fast and brutal enough that you don't really have time to get clever with placing links.

The fact that few people do just goes to show that despite the WP rewards, many people do not want to invest effort into skilling up a support role character.

(Which my ego can handle) I drop uplinks at the beginning of each skirm or dom for many reasons: #1 help the team(hopefully those poor heavies) #2 in case I die hacking. #3 points. Takes the sting out of the whooping I just got. Also will drop them after getting redlined. So you stompers don't get bored. (For me that's worse than getting stomped. I would rather have guys spamming uplinks then thinking about creative ways to afk.

That also means looking at game mechanics in new ways and figuring out how to use them to your advantage. This implies you take it seriously. This also implies that you join a serious corporation; a corporation that wants to compete.
