the changes they are making in 1.5 are minimal and not enough to pull any of the playerbase back
ccp's epic fail continues in uprising 1.5
you cannot blame the vehicle specs of dust for being this worn out, and fed up with dust ccp has never done anything for them..i am an ex tanker and current aver. my aspect of this game is broken. it is no fun insta popping vehicles ccp no serious gamer could specc up av and enjoy this game. it's boringly easy and has only gotten easier the more you nerf tanks. |

Apparently if a turret was removed so was the seat, so the Vehicle Lock didn't bother me as I never call a vehicle in/get out near blue/green dots, so much can go wrong. I can't even say I'm mad, just disappointed in CCP's ability to make promises and then not keep to them, we ask for this, they say yes, then they give us something we begged for months ago and we still can't use it because we cannot kick people from the vehicle, even if we come to a full stop and try and recall.
**** is ridiculous.

Meh ISK isn't important but you'd save a minimum of 160PG (Which is a lot on a Gunnlogi), but the main reason it's wanted is because it apparently removes the seat, meaning you could role up as a SUPPORT HAV, moving with blue dots rather than having them all scramble to get in.
Blue dots are bad :( They're more effective as AR players than using my Missile Turrets, and if I need to run away I'm taking an additional 2 players out of the fight, and even bad players can turn the table when it comes to zerging someone, so by letting us remove the seats, we'll be able to roll up next to them and even roll in front of them to stop them being hit by small arms fire (I try this so many times, yet the squad of Blue dots I'm trying to cover, they stop firing and all turn to try and get in my tank, and when they can't they just fire at the tank and get themselves kill.)

Us vehicle operatives have been playing this game through several nerfs and many many broken promises.
How hard would it have been to even implament this simple function as a wee gesture of faith that you are acctually doing something to balance vehicles?
How hard would it have been to give us our pg skill back? Something ALL vehicle ooeratives want.
How hard would it have been to apply wp for vehicle scanners ?
Ccp you have done nothing but pander to cod boys and whiners when folks like us vet pilots stick arround long after these folks have gone, even after all the nerfs you put us through we still stay and hold on to the thought of you balancing vehicles. You still disappoint and let down some of your most hardcore playerbase and wont even give us a morsel of balance. |

Appreciate the honesty, but really, what the hell is going on that yo can't even produce some small help for vehicles in the waiting period until you finally get the vehicle balance pass ready?
Right now, I would put the odds of vehicle balance getting done in 1.6 at less than 20%.
Don't worry CCP, feel free to take your time, not like there is no competition out there or anything. |

Does this mean that the new infantry weapons (and their balance) is 1.6? Or is that even later? It seems odd to release vehicle notes ahead of weapon notes for input if the former is releasing after the latter. |

Maybe for Dropships.. for Tanks they shoot at the MCC and the sky constantly, I quite liked the thought of it removing the seat.

Is 1.6 going to turn into another light weight patch? I'm not complaining, just managing my own expectations.

This is just pathetic, quit worrying about your ******* AUR items getting integrated and get us a base game. (They managed to get AUR versions of every weapon added in very easily)
1.5 SHOULD HAVE:
- Reduced vehicle/turret/module prices by half in many case enforcers reduced by 1million ISK.
- Swarmer fix, 1.4 buff is ********, you can get hit by 3 proto swarm volleys before reps activate.
- Increase price fore forge guns, 610 ISK gets you a MLT forge fun that does more nearly 400 more direct damage, and 75(ish) more splash than a 16k rail gun.
- PG skill fixed from giving a cpu reduction to PG modules, to actually GIVING PG.
- Rail turrets should have the same rendering range as rail turret installation, same goes for missiles.
- Increase drophip hp.
None of this is hard to do. pricing requires some numbers being changed, swarmer, revert to 1.3, PG skill, copy the drop suit engineering and manipulate the code a little. Turret installations, revert their setting to 1.2, reduce missile range to 400m. Dropship hp change the numbers.
We'll test the changes for you, we always do, even if you say you've already tested them. We need some small tie overs, at this rate, you are screwing yourself.

Is this is the official position on new things for 1.6? What specifically fails to integrate? Would a temporary work-around be possible? Ex: If it is too hard to add a new gun, then re-use existing graphical models, or if it is too hard to remove turrets, then release a cheap 'offline' turret that doesn't do anything and costs 0cpu and 0pg? |

I did that, but game design is exceptionally difficult! Ended up going back to school for my PhD in astrophysics. It turns out much easier than game design.
Though I give much respect to CCP, you guys need to manage your public relations much better than you are now. You can't constantly disappoint like you have been. You're killing your player base.

You (CCP) just screwed yourself with this; If it was in 1.6, fine... but now that it isn't in either 1.5 or 1.6, that means we won't see it until December at the earliest.

Just rage quit and play GTA online once the online kicks up. Im a heavy and I support tankers,scouts, and heavy's. Most of the changes have messed up these classes.
Tanks are so very weak against anything AV. Its AV for a reason but it should be FAR superior. Scouts are useless(not bagging on you) but you can get a logy suit and make it a scout with all the lows. Heavys with the aim assist and are huge fat heads. The HP we have is cut down very easily.
Get used to SOONtm in dust 514 with broken promises. If you enjoy waiting then Dust 514 is for you!

After I read that the vehicle update got delayed again (for the 3rd or 4th time. Can't remember because I lost count) I was stunned and speechless. That being said, I know exactly what I will and won't be playing when (or if) the vehicle update drops.(Hint: Its not Dust) And that is assuming they don't screw up vehicles again.....Damn, I'm glad I preordered a PS4 launch edition months ago.
