Dear CCP, in 1.4 you did a lot of things right (even the AA), and I would like to see progress going in the same direction. It would be exiting to see new Heavy suits as well as a new weapons. So I was wondering, when we can expect to see the whole patch notes about 1.5? Maybe in the 40th week? Or even at the 39th?
Also if it's possible, could you give us a hint about the main theme of 1.6?

CCP has justtaken so much fun out of the game. Agreed they have done some positive stuff too graphics and maps etc. |

The vehicle balance will be an on going process over the next few months so expect to see plenty of vehicle balancing in the next few months. |

I see a lot of Laser, scrambler and assault running around. A few brave souls still use shotguns but not many. |

Because its not finalized.
If the work on patches was done in two weeks, you would get patch notes every two weeks and a new release every two weeks.
But you don't. You are getting them every month. |

I think I remember the situation around 1.3 where CCP had a content stop for this patch one month before the release of 1.3. So all I did here way just asking nicely. |

I have read that we will get weapon(s) in 1.5. Still why not mention it that new weapons and suits are exiting?

Aah, we will get weaponS, I heard the magsec was confirmed! Suits take a lot longer to code, especially on the unreal engine, they aren't likely to be out till the vehicle pass. |

Yes, an explosive projectile shouldn't dissipate in midair at that point if that's what you're getting at, always has and probably always will. Now getting it to hit a person is another story, I've done it, but it isn't easy, need to account for travel time and arc (the latter isn't nearly as difficult as some seem to believe) |

We'd love to provide you with patch notes weeks in advance, but as mentioned elsewhere in this thread quite often features aren't finalized until closer to the release date.
For example, during playtest we didn't feel the Vehicle rebalance and new weapons were quite ready for 1.5 so they've been pushed back, however other features will be seeing full release (squad finder, new WP rewards, updated NPE, bug fixes, etc).

All these different pics of racial weapons (awesome btw) and no visual of Caldari, Amarr, or Minmitar shotgun I understand that the shotgun is all broken and stuff but a pic would be nice.
Also curious how the amarr launcher will look/work. Already got the caldari swarm, Gallente Plasma Cannon, and Minmitar Mass Driver and only one of those is actually an AV weapon (PC is multi purpose while MD is AI).
The sniper in the posted link looks awesome....now how about the other two?
There are 3 other knives that have been seen in pics but my question is what would be the difference other than the appearance? New animation? I suppose on could deal more damage but have a slower charge and another can be the opposite but that still leaves the last... 3 stabs instead of 2 maybe?

Yea looks like it, and it looks badass, I think it might be a combination between a sniper rifle and assault rifle that shoots faster precise long range rounds but with reduced damage. Not talking about the tac assault rifle :P. |

Effective AR range in today's world is out to 300m. Why is it less than 100 on Dust? |

It wasn't a joke.
I'm curious as to why people think the 1.5 patch is going to be a complete vehicle rebalance.
They can't fix a year and half problem in just one month.
They already stated 1.5 was going to be the first of many vehicle / weapon rebalancing patches. that means, many months of patching for vehicles to get where they want.
Now, 1.6 will be the first of many vehicle patches. I assume they pushed it back, because if they released a patch that changed only minor things about vehicles, half the forum goers would cry foul out of ignorance. |

Because the real world is a tad bit larger then the maps we play on?
If i can fly a ship till i reach the upper troposphere, why is the ceiling height so low in Dust?

Ah, yea that's true the barrel is a bit short to have similar capabilities as the caldari sniper rifle, its a bit longer than gallente AR so its gonna be like you said long range weapon. Not as sniper rifle. But thats what I meant kinda :D. ;)

Because in WWII we didn't have teleporting uplinks, dropships that hover on 2 engines, anti-matter weaponry, or F#@&$% SPACESHIPS!!
Rifle can feel like a rifle without the range of one, not to mention plasma thats highly unstable, lasers that we can't even get yet, and railguns that shoot rounds so god damn fast, it would blowyour face of just whizzing past!!

Can we have something concrete about vehicle rebalancing please? A lot of us would like to know what direction you're taking on the matter. We've been asking for some work on dropships since closed beta but they still don't seem to have changed in terms of survivability or usefulness since then. Tanks have received some good work I think. I don't use LAVs anymore because of the ISK cost but the specialisation are an improvement IMO.
I think a lot of people were pretty excited about the prospect of finally seeing some rebalancing work so even if you're not releasing these changes yet can we have some feedback on what issues you faced that prompted the decision to push back the time-frames? This is a unique game in the level of interaction between player and devs and I think most of us would like to to have a bit more of that for this particular topic please. |

So they'll be in 1.6 with possibly other weapons as well (no confirmation). |

Agreed. If this is the best way to make sure the rebalancing is done properly then fantastic but it'd make everyone feel better to be told officially as early as possible.

Now its open to interpretation, but the pod, they are launched from I don't believe is air tight, so in order to survive the dropsuits probably has some rebreather gear, that recycles youf last breath for oxygen. The suits aren't designed for EVA but they can sustain short periods in zero/low atmosphere! |

CCP probably has no idea where they are going, they are constantly changing their minds...that's why you'll never see a detailed post about their near-future plans or answering specific questions from people on these forums. I hope you will take your time in the beta-phase to finally test everything out/adjust things when you do finally become a developer. Good luck with the studies.
Thank you, im might have overreacted, I wouldn't say I was a fan boy but, things like this are incredibly difficult, especially since they are coming from eve to an fps environment. But so many people do think its so easy, I read an article about a dev said COD has ruined a generation of gamers.
And beta-testing is hard on a game where yoj have 1 month cycles and only a few dozen devs to test it!

You know what guys, I'm not even mad or sad. I feel nothing anymore. This massage took me to resignation. No weapons and vehicle updates in 1.5? I'm fine with that. You know guys, I was just hopping to enjoy this game a little longer before the PS4 lunch. I was motivated to play active to farm some SP so I can invest some in the new weapons and my tank. Now I no longer see the need for it. Weapons and vehicles are moved to (may be?) 1.6 and that will be November.
And we all know that the PS4 will arrive in the November. Now that I don't see any sense staying with dust I might as well buy the PS3 edition of BF4 and update it for 10Gé¼ to a PS4 version. Now don't get me wrong, I would like to stay at dust but if stay I will become even more frustrated. 1.4 was very god a real step forward and I would keep playing the game if it has a PS4 client or the PS4 would arrive a lot later.
Well I wish you all luck and I will stay in the forums but you wont see me online until a PS4 client. I hope CCP hurry the **** up because I will boot my PS3 only up again for Darksouls2. I'm sick of loading times, clunky graphics, slow menus and so on. Maybe a much longer pause from Dust will motivate me once more? |

My key worry at this point is density is going to achieve what dust has right now. Ignore the goal. Of dust but density will be a sifi shooter where u get your own personal story with PvP and pve made by a shooter powerhouse. The dev's really need to get a move on :-(

I think even the Devs went to play GTA5 , anyone else think putting off this patch is horrible timing?
out of the the three monthly patches only one was on time, all were broken and took more time away to fix after deployment.
Managing customer expectations is the number one goal for most successful companies, maybe its time you turn up your staff and hire the people needed. |

Titainfall Destiny watchdogs planetside 2 all on pc or ps4 I just don't see why I should keep investing in dust anymore the is just mountains of evidence they can't deliver a good shooter experice.
That said the social side they can do very well so WoD should be awsome :-) |

The District, don't forget that. I feel that Dust will loose a lot more players once this game hit the market. Open world PvPvE. No rules, random loot, gun fights. Its like EVE and It's like Dust should have been. But we will see once it is lunched. Maybe it will be just another flop. |
