So i am a heavy player and will try to be as least biased as possible.

 Turn speed changes.

They needed to happen. Heavies are already the slowest and biggest target in the game, why should i be insta done for because it takes 3 seconds to turn around even with sensitivity maxed. (DS3)

We already have enough disadvantages such as a limitation to CQC combat. (Hmg)

 Armour buff.

This really doesn't give that much more armour a plate, maybe 1 or 2 more bullets in the long run, but the real advantage is that were 50% faster now. Movement penalties are cut in half on complex plates, so no longer will we be waddling constantly. only when we're out of are incredible low amount of stamina

 Slower strafe speeds.

This helps all suits but i believe it helps the heavies the most. We have a devastating CQC weapon so the ability to track a target is very important. Slower strafe speeds make that a little bit easier.

 Disable squad vision sharing.

This helps everybody a ton. Scouts the most, and heavies the least. Were slow so most likely to get spotted more often, and we usually center ourselves near the action or on top of a letter.

 Lav Nerf.

Heavies always had the hardest time dodging these damned things. Were too slow and can't dodge them. This nerf helps heavies a lot.

 HMG recoil reduction skill.

I like it better than the current skill we have, just sounds more useful. But i'll have to see it in practice.

So as you can see the heavies get a lot of buffs/ stealth buffs. This will finally make the class a CQC king like it always should have been.

I don't see these changes being overpowered. Just a huge improvement

I've been drinking and skipped everything you wrote, but got the same feeling when reading the patch notes. They turn faster, less recoil, little armor buff. What's not to love beside running slow and maybe being expensive?

 Good assessment, N1ck. +1

I don't think we'll see a whole lot of new fellow fatties, however. The people who try out the basic HMG will have to go through the same discouragement hurdle most of the rest of us went through, especially with the overheat skill changes.*

The people who wanted to go fat for FOTM did it for the Forge Gun, and not a whole lot is changing on that front.

*DISCLAIMER: For the record, I love that the skill is being changed from heat build up to kick reduction.

I think heavies should have advanced plates that are available to unlock at Plates L5. Only heavies can use them. The proto suit should be able to fit 2000-3000 HP, but the Adv plates should be like a 12x multiplier.

I'd love to see heavies just absolute beasts.

Perfectly balanced. They're too easy to kill right now.

The armor buff isn't going to be overpowered either. Just take advantage of the long shield delay and slow armor regen to whittle down armor.

I cannot wait for the Gallente heavy to spec into, I shall fondly call it the "Rhino" and cover it in armor plates and dmg mods.

These changes coupled with the upcoming armor buffs should make any heavy viable (no promises, just theorycrafting) without being OP. The very least I will look badass.

Please don't ask me when, I just have very, very fond memories from that Fanfest picture.

Until then, I will slog around in my minimally skilled Skinweave and MH-82 fit.

I'm hoping PVE is going to be a ninja release. People will complain and prejudge any info on PVE if they mention its release in a Dev blog or patch notes.

If its just "there" when you download the update it will be like Christmas and people will rejoice.

I actually remember the original murder taxi just being a LAV with one or two heavies that jumped out and straight up murdered everyone, back when they were OP beasts and the LAV less easy to maneuver.

Now, that Limbus, I also want to skill into it and drive my own in my heavy suit.

Just because I don't know, is there a repair bubble around it? If so, can it be ammo/repair as well?

So, by that logic, a heavy dropsuit should have the same HP as a standard tank? Why not just spec into vehicles? I understand you possibly not wanting to due to the DPS drop from Forge Gun to Rail Turret (which, by the way, still makes no damn sense).

Calling it now: CCP is stacking up all the sweet racial variants to form the foundation of a winter release with PVE following in the summer release. With all these news stories of the Gallente and Minmatar growing tensions and Amarr Heir's prosing to reinstitute the Reclaiming, I'm sort of expecting the winter expansion to be like this,

 Dust 514: Reclaiming
Marked by a big battle event similar to the Battle for Caldari Prime
The Amarr Empire reinstates the Reclaiming, a total escalation to the warfront is brought as consequence and the Amarr Empire develops it's line of vehicles and remaining dropsuits.
In response, the Minmatar Republic also produces it's line of vehicles and remaining dropsuits to counter the invasion.
The Reclaiming of the Minmatar Republic may be a conflict between the Amarr and Minmatar, but it has a ripple affect upon the Gallente and Caldari and they too produce their remaining dropsuits to aid their allies.
New Minmatar and Amarr outposts to fight on to accurately portray the Reclaiming.
A slew of other additions and fixes. CCP effectively "reclaims" it's fan base.
