I like the idea of replacing the charge with a cooldown preferably, or to hold the charge while running. The knives need to be usable while moving, because we need to be able to knife people who are moving also.

It badly damages my upgrade dropships when RDVs attack, when friendly LAVs crash into upgraded tanks, taking out a big chunk of their shields and the usual LAV vs LAV.

Try bringing up the fitting menu on the warbarge. It makes loading the fitting selection screen instant when the battle starts. This game should automatically load the fittings in the background when I'm in the warbarge.
