I did this while hacking a dropship... I was probably in the air for about 2-3 minutes. I was higher above the map than if you were to zoom out as far as the 3D map will let you. It was pretty cool.

Are you still using the militia sniper? If thats the case, then go spec up for sniping. A militia sniper vs an advanced/prototype heavy isn't going to do much.

Dev's have confirmed this to be a bug, quitting the game is causing the OS to crash. It isn't the PS3 saying "oh hey, I'm gonna restart quick, one sec", what it's really saying is "oh fu........."
