The SP award system should be based on damage %'s, but if you didn't literally kill them, then why should you get the credit? I have no problem dealing 75% damage and someone else finishing them off, you never know, they may have saved your ass.

I've only used the militia swarms, but as I recall swapping weapons worked... Maybe I'm wrong and I'm just used to that being the cancel function for lock on rockets in FPS games.. I'll have to test that.
