The game is in such a better state than it was, thanks to balancing. It probably doesn't seem like such an issue now because so many more options are viable. I agree that CCP should focus on buffing some of the worse (and therefore rare) weapon...

No. Most suits in battle are still assaults with rifles. In fact there was a long thread here yesterday saying mass drivers are bad now. I don't necessarily agree, but they aren't overpowered.
